**Job Purpose**
The Strategic Sourcing Manager will work directly with business stakeholders and other team members to develop and execute sourcing strategies that deliver continuous cost, performance and process improvement.
**What you will do.**
Lead and execute sourcing projects in all categories (Corporate Services, IT, Real Estate & Facilities, Fleet):
+ Strategy development
+ Preparation of RFP's
+ Supplier negotiations
+ Business case recommendations

+ Contract execution
Identify and implement cost and process improvements within the sourcing process by working collaboratively with business stakeholders and other team members
Manage vendor relationships and measure supplier performance against contracts (cost, service levels and usage)
Assess market conditions to measure industry cost curves and trends as they impact Herc purchasing.
**Requirements**
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
+ Professional Qualifications CPSM preferred
+ 3-5 years of strategic sourcing experience with a large service sector company or a largeindustrial manufacturing company
+ Experience in designing and executing sourcing strategies that consistently delivermeasureable bottom line cost savings

The Strategic Sourcing Manager for Leica Biosystems is responsible for leading a team to handle the company's end to end sourcing operations to meet Global Sourcing savings targets while supporting the overall strategy of the Global Strategic Sourcing organization.
This position reports to the Sr. Director Global Sourcing and is part of the Global Sourcing team located in Richmond, Illinois and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Support and guide a team of procurement professionals related to all aspects of procurement, ensuring inventory is maintained at optimal levels so company goals and customer requirements are met
+ Drive targeted, sustainable improvements in Supplier On-Time Delivery, Margin Expansion, Working Capital Turns, Inventory, and related KPI's/objectives using lean tools, continuous improvement methodologies, facilitation skills, and change management processes
+ Manage relationships with relevant cross-functional leaders such as Product Management, Finance, Service, Sales, etc. to resolve parts supply or quality issues and to improve expense efficiency by optimizing process and supplier base
+ Provide guidance to team to support management of all supplier relationships related to new parts, supplier changes, yearly negotiations, pricing and payment terms, and other relevant topics
+ Manage the company's supply portfolio ensuring transparency and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, sustainable procurement practices, and company policies
+ Take a holistic view and test viability of options to guide a data-based functional strategy, considering items such as forecasts, availability of materials, and manufacturing capacity
+ Employ the necessary structure to effectively manage and anticipate the changing need for resources, easily flexing resource allocation in the face of changing circumstances.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or equivalent with a minimum of nine years' experience or Master's degree with a minimum of seven years' experience
+ Minimum of two years' experience in a leadership position with a proven track record of successfully building, leading, and influencing global cross site, cross-functional teams
+ Demonstrated ability to develop, sell, and implement a global, organization-wide strategy, with demonstrated ability and success managing change, fostering an environment of trust, growth, and development

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
+ Ability to travel - must be able to travel up to 25% of the time, domestic and international. Overnight travel will be required.

+ Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 20 lbs

+ Master's degree in Procurement, Business Administration, or equivalent

The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $150,000.

**Job Summary and Qualifications**
Position Summary
The primary role of the Strategic Sourcing Manager is to lead strategic negotiations in the HCA Enterprise and to be the Subject Matter Expert in all areas of category strategy development, negotiation and Vendor management of various healthcare information technology categories.
The primary responsibilities of this position are to collaborate with Business Leaders around the complete sourcing cycle to ensure HCA is employing world class cost management processes in the acquisition of multi-Million-dollar purchases while mitigating risk to the organization. The position will consult in the development, implementation, and on-going management of technology Agreements and Vendor relationships.
This position requires high ethical standards, business acumen with constant attention to detail to drive activities of internal and external resources to successful completion of agreed upon objectives.
Major Responsibilities:
+ Knowledge of contracting principles, vendor management, and product/service sourcing.
+ Experience in leading negotiations with an understanding of contract implications and total cost of ownership in delivering world class healthcare IT products and services.
+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively with experts from many healthcare specialties effectively as a team member, coordinator, and facilitator.
