Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Accountant to join our growing real estate team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property accounting and be proficient in Yardi software, with a proven ability to manage financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger activity for a diverse portfolio of properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions for a portfolio of residential and/or commercial properties
• Prepare monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accruals and prepayments
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely
• Track capital expenditures and assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Work closely with property managers and asset managers to ensure accurate reporting
• Prepare year-end workpapers and assist with external audits and tax preparation
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards (GAAP)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in property accounting, preferably in a real estate or property management setting
• Strong working knowledge of Yardi Voyager (required)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting principles
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with multi-entity or multi-property environments
• Knowledge of CAM reconciliations and lease abstracting
• CPA or pursuit of CPA a plus

As the Senior Accountant, you will coordinate the monthly completion of ledger accounts and financial statements for our high-growth company, engage in the research and analysis of business and accounting transactions, and be responsible for the reconciliation of various commercial bank accounts and lines of credit. This position requires knowledge and understanding of GAAP accounting concepts, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, initiative and creativity. Work includes various individual and group projects in a high-growth business. Experience in consumer finance, banking or insurance industries is a plus. This is a hybrid role working out of our Plano, TX or Baton Rouge, LA corporate offices. Job responsibilities are as follows:

• Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of ledger accounts and financial statements.
• Responsible for the preparation of GAAP financial statements and other financial reports.
• Reports the organization's finances to management, evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization.
• Researches and analyzes accounting transactions. Analyzes trends, costs and revenues.
• Reconciles business line of credit account balances, interest costs and variable interest rates.
• Responsible for the accurate creation and timely submission of various banking, federal, and regulatory statistical reports.
• Oversee and assist with commercial finance transactions and reporting.
• Oversee financial reporting related to credit insurance and offshore captive.
• Oversee and assist with the creation and delivery state, county and muni tax reporting.

Requirements

• BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in the field of public or mid-sized company accounting doing full cycle month-end close, intermediate financial reporting and bank reconciliations.
• CPA designation or CPA candidate is preferred.
• Previous finance company accounting, tax accounting and/or insurance industry experience is a plus.
• Has thorough knowledge of financial accounting and GAAP concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Possesses strong analytical skills and a wide degree of creativity and latitude.
• Ability to make sound, independent judgments within established guidelines
• Ability to organize own work, set priorities and meet critical deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Ability and desire to work with others in a cooperative, positive and constructive manner
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Proficiency in MS Office products, including Excel and Access. SQL is a plus.
• Experience with MS Dynamics General Ledger a plus.

JOB PURPOSE OR MISSION: Prepares assigned income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements and various other accounting statements and reports. Analyzes financial reports and records, making recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures. 1. Prepares accurate and timely financial statements:

Prepares monthly financial statements within the guidelines of the working day timetable and free of material errors as set forth by the management team.

2. Reconciles and analyzes self audits

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

Compiles all necessary reconciliation and supplemental schedules of all balance sheet accounts by the end of each month for review by the management team.

3. Completes special projects as assigned

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

Performs all applicable duties complete assigned tasks within the established time frame. Standard special projects include, but are not limited to:
Year-end inventory observations as assigned by supervisor
Assist operations in preparation of annual operating and capital budgets
Deliver appropriate financial information to auditors in a timely manner established by either a client assistance package or an audit timetable.
Uses available technology and software systems efficiently in completing the assigned tasks.
Required special reporting
Maintenance of ledgers and additional internal and external reports for distribution
Preparation of Surveys as needed.

4. Supervises and assists in preparation of monthly financial statements:
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
Prepares and reviews financial statements data input according to established procedures within deadlines designed by the working day timetable.
Analyzes budget variances based upon designed materiality levels prior to financial statement completion deadline established by working day timetable.
Delivers financial statements to appropriate customer free of material misstatements as measured by the appropriate manager.

5. Supervises and assists in reconciling general ledger accounts and budget review:
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
Maintains all relevant schedules free of material misstatements as measured by the appropriate manager.
Plans and coordinates the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets.
Reviews and analyzes data input to ensure accuracy and reasonableness as measure by the appropriate manager.
Delivers operating capital budget to appropriate customer according to the guidelines of the budget calendar.

6. Identifies ways to improve the accuracy of reports and the efficiency with which reports are created:
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
Communicates with operations personnel to understand their business and financial needs on an ongoing basis.
Continually advances knowledge of software systems used directly or indirectly with the financial statement preparation process.
Willingly shares professional expertise with others in the department when appropriate and necessary.

7. Performs all other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
3 years of accounting experience or other comparable financial work experience. 1 year with GHS or 1 year in healthcare.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
College degree, preferably with 15 hours of Accounting credits

SPECIAL SKILL, LICENSE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
CPA or other professional certifications preferred
Windows Applications and Computer Spreadsheet knowledge

HIPAA REQUIREMENTS:
Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable HIPAA regulations appropriate to Job Position including but not limited to: patient demographic information, patient financial and/or 3rd party billing information, FCP computer system.

Gilbarco is seeking a talented finance professional who believes accounting is not only recording the numbers but is an important function in the organization to uniquely use the numbers to identify business opportunities and strategies. This position will assist in the monthly financial close processes including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations. This role will also support and provide documentation for internal/external audit inquiries, assist in making process improvements/accounting changes, and provide on-going support for various finance teams. Additionally, this position performs back-up responsibilities as required within the General Accounting Group.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Assist with Internal/external audits and SOX testing procedures
+ Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls, procedures and remediation plans
+ Coordinate with other departments to update process narratives and ensure all processes are appropriately documented and accounting policies and procedures are followed
+ Diligently look for opportunities to improve financial performance through reduced business expense, improved cash flow and near & mid-term business decisions.
+ Support monthly financial close process including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, flux analysis, variance explanations and forecasting.
+ Complete and maintain general ledgers and financial reports for complex accounts.
+ Assist with ad-hoc special financial projects as requested.
+ Prepare financial information and submission file loaded monthly in Hyperion database
+ Support balance sheet initiatives, such as the Blackline account reconciliation reviews, that ensure compliance with policies
+ Mentor junior and mid-level accountants.
+ Determine and implement ASC606 deferred revenue recognition

+ A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (or finance related field) ,CPA or CPA eligible
+ Ability to understand balance sheet accounts, their relationship with the P&L and business activities and a focus to ensure that accounting transactions comply with US GAAP.
+ Professional with understanding of accounting theory, current accounting issues, and accounting systems.
+ Working knowledge of consolidation and management reporting systems including process flows of ERP systems.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively within all levels of the Company including those outside of the accounting function.
+ A proven track record in meeting deadlines, manage projects, and working collaboratively as part of a team.
+ Demonstrated leadership capability and a desire to advance in your career through stretch assignments and personal growth
+ Minimum of 3-5 years of public accounting experience OR 3-5 years working in the manufacturing space
+ Excellent communicator/team builder
+ Strong interpersonal, leadership and organizational skill
+ Enthusiastically committed to process improvement
+ Willingness to take ownership of issues
+ The ability to solve practical problems in situations where only limited standardization exists
+ Understanding of lean manufacturing principles or six sigma (DMIAC)

The base compensation range for this position is $85K to $105K per annum. Your actual base salary will be determined based upon numerous factors which may include relevant experience, skills, location (labor market data), credentials (education, certifications), and internal equity.

We are seeking a diligent Sr. Accountant to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be tasked with maintaining financial records, resolving account discrepancies, and ensuring financial reporting accuracy. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. This is a primarily on-site position with some flexibility for remote work, when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Accurate processing and reconciliation of accounts
- Conducting balance sheet reconciliations
- Executing bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
- Maintaining and updating the general ledger
- Preparing and posting journal entries as required
- Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting
