**Position Overview:** We are looking for a highly skilled Software Automation Engineer to join our team and take ownership of automating cloud billing processes across multiple cloud providers. This role combines software engineering with financial operations (FinOps), aiming to create seamless billing automation, enhance transparency and accountability, and develop tools for optimal cost utilization. The successful candidate will build custom automation solutions, develop insightful dashboards, and analyze billing data to optimize cloud spending.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Cloud Billing/Resource Automation Development:** Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to streamline and optimize billing processes across major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Use programming and scripting skills to create efficient and scalable automation tools.
+ **Billing Transparency & Accountability:** Develop systems that ensure full transparency and accountability in cloud billing, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with the organization's financial goals. Build processes that provide visibility into cost allocation and consumption trends.

+ **Continuous Improvement & Innovation:** Stay on top of the latest technologies and best practices in both cloud billing automation and financial software development. Implement enhancements and new features to improve billing accuracy, efficiency, and cost management.
**Technical Skills:** Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their respective billing APIs. Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or Go. Working experience with Big Query / Looker is a plus along with GenAI capabilities.

The annual base salary range for this position is $141,000 - $225,000
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.

Job Description
At Inceptive, you will drive development forward that could help billions of people. To accomplish this, you will be part of a collaborative, antedisciplinary team building our biological software.
You will drive end-to-end design and quantification of biological datasets that enable AI models to design RNA molecules. You will work together with experimentalists to troubleshoot and scale assays. Your code will solve immediate problems, create scalable data pipelines, and form foundational tooling, as the occasion requires.
Your Mission, should you choose to accept it
- Embody our vision of an antedisciplinary environment and embrace learning about areas outside of your traditional area of expertise
- Work closely with experimental scientists to design experiments measuring diverse properties of designed RNAs
- Analyze, visualize, and communicate results, providing rapid feedback to optimize the utility of datasets for training and evaluating ML models
- Create, deploy, and refine tools for efficient, reliable data analysis in collaboration with software engineers
- Collaborate on validation of candidate therapeutic RNA molecules through rapid in vitro and in vivo testing
- 3+ years experience applying computational methods to biological data
- Experience working with experimentalists to deliver quantitative, statistically robust results from biological assays
- Experience with a wide variety of data types encountered in molecular and cellular biology, such as sequencing, microscopy, chromatography, and time-course data
- Highly capable programmer fluent in scientific Python ecosystem
- Availability to work with team members across US and Europe, with meetings starting at 8am PT
- Readiness to travel several times a year for company retreats and business events

- PhD in computer science, computational biology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience (e.g., industry experience, research, or advanced technical expertise)

- Track record of creating analytical methods and/or software tools used by wider community, eg, via open-sourcing
