The Stock Associate contributes to store sales and KPI targets by maximizing selling potential through ensuring the efficient and effective flow of merchandise from the stockroom to the sales floor. This role reports to the Store Manager and is responsible for delivering on all aspects of stockroom standard operating procedures (SOP/Retail Operations Manual) and achieving the brand standards for shipment processing, replenishment, markdowns, merchandising and cycle counts. The Stock Associate will assume the Sales Specialist responsibilities in their absence.

Average Hours: Fewer than 30 hours per week
Starting Wage: $19.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $0.00 | Year 3 - 20.50 | Year 4 - 20.50 | Year 5 - 21.50

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members and effectively communicate tasks to your direct leader.
• Maintain the confidentiality and security of all documents and data.
• Perform various assigned duties to support store operations.

Cashier Responsibilities:

• Process customer purchases swiftly and accurately while providing a clean shopping environment.
• Deliver exceptional customer service that enhances the shopping experience.
• Offer feedback to management about products, inventory accuracy, and any issues encountered.
• Participate in inventory counts and maintain an accurate inventory.
• Follow cash policies and procedures to ensure minimal losses.

Stock Associate Responsibilities:

• Efficiently stock shelves and rotate products to ensure freshness.
• Follow merchandising planograms to create visually appealing displays.
• Organize new inventory and manage packaging waste.
• Operate machinery safely, adhering to all safety protocols.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, carry, and walk throughout the store regularly. Stock Associates must be able to lift products weighing up to 45 pounds and place them appropriately on shelving.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Deliver prompt and courteous customer service.
• Perform cleaning duties to company standards.
• Understand and apply company policies and procedures accurately.
• Possess excellent verbal communication skills.
• Work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Demonstrate effective time management skills.
• Knowledge of our products and services is a plus.
• Cashiers must efficiently operate a cash register and comply with local alcohol handling requirements.
• Stock Associates must be able to operate equipment safely, including electric/manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
• Stock Associates should have morning availability, starting shifts as early as 5:00 a.m.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a retail environment is advantageous.
• A combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge is acceptable.

Responsibilities

The Warehouse Associate - Stock is responsible for stocking items on the shelves and ensuring the neat, orderly condition of the warehouse. We only want dynamic, career-minded people who are willing to dedicate themselves to this job.

• Receive merchandise from vendors and other stores and put them in the proper location on the shelves
• Check off merchandise as received
• Correct mistakes found on the inventory count sheet
• Assist in pulling parts during busy times
• Clean up inside/outside the warehouse
• Work with stock manager to address any problems with orders
• Resolve problems with how the warehouse is stocked
• Miscellaneous projects and perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Accurately follow directions, both written and verbal
• Maintain individual productivity and quality standards according to department requirements
• Focus and remain on task in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail
• Great communication skills
•  Regularly lift, push, pull and/or move objects 10-50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh upto 100 lbs.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach
• Occasionally required to sit and climb (ladders and/ or stairs) or balance
• May be subject to environmental conditions. Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
• May be required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
• Time management skills
• Able to work well under pressure
• Must be able to work well with other staff members and supervisors
• Must have an open availability, flexible and able to work various shifts and over time.
• 1-2 years Warehouse experience preferred.
• Familiarity with safety measures in a warehouse
• Maintain and promote workplace safety
• Securing and transferring cash or other assets.
