Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Stress Analysis Engineer to analyze the structural integrity of components and systems, ensuring they can withstand intended loads and environmental conditions. This role involves using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to analyze composite structures and complete calculations efficiently.
Responsibilities
+ Analyze the structural integrity of components and systems.
+ Ensure components can withstand intended loads and environmental conditions.
+ Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on composite structures.
+ Complete detailed calculations using Excel.
+ Work directly with rockets, spacecraft, aircraft, or helicopters.
+ Immediately impact the work and contribute to ongoing projects.
Essential Skills
+ 8-10 years of experience as a stress analysis engineer.
+ Proficient in aerospace stress analysis.
+ Expertise in NX Nastran, ANSYS, and NX CAD.
+ Experience analyzing composite structures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Knowledge of Nastran+FEMAP combination is highly valued.
+ Experience in structural analysis of launch vehicles or spacecraft.
+ Mechanical engineering
Work Environment
The role offers the flexibility of working fully remotely, with an initial requirement to visit the Austin office for the first two weeks to meet the team and ensure all technology is functioning properly. Computer and equipment will be provided. The team is primarily based in Austin, with one member transitioning to remote work shortly.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $85.00/hr.
