+ Installing various cable types including low voltage power, fiber, twisted pair, audio, video and DAS and security. Inside and Outside plant
+ Use a variety of connector types and terminate to industry standards
+ Terminate indoor and outdoor fiber using the appropriate methods and following industry standards
+ Testing copper and fiber using industry approved testers. Knowledge of setting up testing units and downloading results as required
+ Installation of various types of pathways related to running horizontal and backbone cables
+ Strong knowledge of troubleshooting cable plant and associated equipment
+ Complete detailed documents of work performed and provide daily status updates
**General Responsibilities for each Lead**
+ Ability to train and mentor junior technicians on installations standards and methods, as well as company related requirements
+ Work within time and budget restraints
+ Provide site supervision of the installation team with direction from the Senior Tech or Project Manager
+ The ability to perform close-out documentation procedures as well as daily/weekly company documentation requirements
+ Ability to procure materials collaboratively through Operations/Project Management for project related needs
+ Crew Safety training and PPE assignment required to meet or exceed customer, industry, GC, and local jurisdiction requirements

• Build and maintain a consultative relationship with clients who have structured cabling installation needs.
• Identify and develop add-on sales as they relate to the project or client.
• Follow-up on new sales leads and sales referrals resulting from field activity.

• Advanced knowledge of access control, fire, and video surveillance systems

**Security Systems**
+ Install and troubleshoot security systems, including access control, IP video, and intrusion detection systems.
+ Perform system testing, commissioning, and verification of functionality.

**Building Automation Systems (BAS)**
+ Perform diagnostics and preventative maintenance on automation systems, including HVAC and VAV systems.

**Description**
**OVERVIEW** **:**
The Service Technician in our Technology Solutions group specializes in one or more of the following disciplines: audiovisual systems and structured cabling. While expertise in all areas is not required, proficiency in one area is essential. We are committed to providing training in any additional disciplines you may not be familiar with. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, adaptability, and the ability to work across various systems and technologies.
**Compensation Range for this Position:** $32.00 - $50.00 per hour, depending on experience
**General Responsibilities**

+ Perform installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of systems across multiple disciplines.
+ Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment in a clean, organized manner.
+ Communicate effectively with the Service Supervisor on job progress, scheduling, and any changes to scope or requirements.
+ Represent Encore Electric professionally when interacting with clients, ensuring clear communication and fostering positive relationships.
+ Be flexible with schedules, shifts, and locations, including participation in the on-call rotation.
+ On-call rotation requires availability 24/7 for a one-week period, every month.
**Discipline-Specific Responsibilities**
**Audiovisual Systems**
+ Install, and troubleshoot AV systems, including displays, projectors, speakers, and control systems (e.g., QSC, Crestron, Extron, Bi-amp). Some programming preferred but not required.
+ Install and configure conference room systems, including Microsoft Teams rooms, Zoom Rooms, and other related conferencing systems.
+ 3-4 years of AV technician experience is preferred.
**Telecom**
+ Install and terminate telecom cabling, including copper and fiber optics.
+ Perform testing and certification for cabling and connections.
+ Familiarity with telecom-related tools and practices.
+ 3-4 years of experience as a telecom technician is preferred.
**Security Systems**
+ Install and troubleshoot security systems, including access control, IP video, and intrusion detection systems.
+ Perform system testing, commissioning, and verification of functionality.
+ 3-4 years of experience as a security technician is preferred.
**Building Automation Systems (BAS)**
+ Perform diagnostics and preventative maintenance on automation systems, including HVAC and VAV systems.
+ Install controllers, wiring, and field devices according to project specifications.
+ 3-4 years of experience as a BAS technician is preferred.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
+ Technical expertise in the relevant system(s) of focus.
+ Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as blueprints, one-lines, and specifications.
+ Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
+ Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.
**Physical Requirements**
+ Ability to climb, lift (up to 50 lbs), stand, and stoop.
+ Vision acuity (near and far, and without color deficiencies).
**Requirements**
+ At least 3-4 years of experience in a specific relevant discipline.
+ Valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
+ Willingness to continue learning and developing in the field.

The System Designer II will be required to provide design, engineering, modeling, drafting, and budgeting support for projects throughout the organization, across all North American Geographies. Additionally, they will assist the Design Group Leadership and Colleagues in continuing to build our company design standards, templates, blocks, families, details, and processes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and interact with customers (end users, architects, construction managers, general contractors, electrical engineers, and others) to understand their needs and then perform detailed designs Low Voltage technology systems such as Cabling, Security, Audio Visual and DAS.
  • A Systems Designer may specialize in one Low Voltage Trade, but all Systems Designers are expected to pursue cross training across disciplines.
• Attend and host meetings independently on behalf of Paladin. Take and distribute accurate and timely notes to the team, follow up with action items assigned and communicate company commitments.
• Coordinate and interact with estimators and engineers throughout the organization, including all geographies across North America, to develop project budgets, technical design requirements and scopes of work related to the design of all sub-disciplines of Low Voltage Technology Systems.
• Coordinate and interact with the Sales team and other Project Sponsors to understand the needs and expectations of the client and project and to ensure the best possible client experience.
• Prepare detailed and accurate budgets, utilizing technical estimating resources where necessary.
• Perform electronic takeoffs using Bluebeam software as directed.
• Manage the Designers assigned projects to include billing, cash flow, cost projections and schedule management.
• Create technology systems flow line diagrams.
• Develop Security riser diagrams, door details, and mounting diagrams.
• Develop network diagrams.
• Perform the Designer's own drafting and modeling using Autodesk CAD and Revit software as needed and as practical.
• Coordinate and collaborate closely with Paladin's Drafters and BIM Modelers to provide clear CAD requests, feedback, and guidance for Drafting and modeling work related to the Designers projects that will be performed by the VDC team.
• Provide supplemental Peer Reviews of designs and documentation prepared by others throughout the organization as directed.
• Participate in both internal and external kickoff meetings as needed to support a smooth transition and exchange of information as a project passes from the design to the build phase.
• Perform construction administration on design projects as assigned.
• Provide advice, assistance and support to estimators, engineers, project managers and other Paladin employees when requested.
• Provide support for existing or potential customers with the utmost professionalism at all times whether on the phone, in writing (email or text/direct message) or in person.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of design experience
• 5+ year of experience in the low voltage or technology industries

Preferred Qualifications:

• Competency in various software platforms typical in the design industry, including (but not limited to): AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) MS Teams, MS Projects, etc.
• RCDD, CTS, PSP or other Low Voltage Design Certifications Highly preferred

Demonstrated Professional Competencies:

• Effectively and professionally manage multiple communications platforms (email, collaboration/messaging (MS Teams)
• Increase AV & Security Systems knowledge periodically throughout the year.
• Increase Networking knowledge periodically throughout the year.
