  • Creating and updating student resource database with the information on community resources for housing, child care, transportation, healthcare, etc.;
  • Creating, facilitating, and monitoring a campus community-moderated classifieds and forum boards for students to exchange information regarding resources offered and resources needed (e.g. carpooling, childcare exchange, etc.); and
  • Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities
The Physical Therapist Student assesses the need for, develops, and delivers
physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. They implement individualized therapy programs(GC5) designed to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance with supervision. In addition, the Physical Therapist Student instructs, educates and trains patients and caregivers in those skills and functions essential for promoting health, independence and productivity, in order to diminish or correct pathology.
1. The Physical Therapist Student will follow all Powerback Rehabilitation policy and procedures
outlined in the on-boarding and orientation process.
2. The Physical Therapist Student will put patient service first and will ensure that patients and
families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which
recognizes the individuals' needs and rights with guidance from their clinical instructor.
3. The Physical Therapist Student is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab
services; adherence to an established plan of care, department and patient(s)' schedule, and
timely documentation of services with the supervision of their Clinical Instructor.
4. Consults with other members of the rehabilitation team to select the most appropriate
therapeutic regimen consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient with the
supervision of their Clinical Instructor.
5. Adapts program and/or plan of care according to the needs of individual patient with the
supervision of their Clinical Instructor.
6. Attends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences and other related meetings with the supervision of their Clinical Instructor.
7. Makes referrals to other disciplines, agencies in order to address the comprehensive needs of the patient with the supervision of their Clinical Instructor.
8. Promotes a safe environment and enforces the elimination of fire and safety hazards with the
supervision of their Clinical Instructor.
9. Cleans, maintains, identifies, and reports the need for repair of equipment as necessary with
assistance from their Clinical Instructor.
10. The Physical Therapist Student will be aware of state licensure requirements and professional
standards related to supervising the Physical Therapist Assistant and other support personnel with
the supervision of the Clinical Instructor.
11. Under the supervision of the Clinical Instructor, the Physical Therapist Student screens, examines and evaluates patients, including history, systems review, and application of appropriate tests and measures, synthesis information and interprets examination findings in order to establish a diagnosis, identify impairments, determine the predicted level of improvement and the me
required to achieve it, identify precautions/contraindications and design and plan of care.
Develops appropriate treatment goals and methods in collaboration with the patient and
caregivers, implements the physical therapy treatment plan, and completes all related
documentation and record keeping regarding these services with the guidance of the Clinical
Instructor. Services include but are not limited to application of therapeutic techniques in areas
such as:
a. Therapeutic exercise including aerobic capacity conditioning, balance coordination,
agility training, body mechanics and postural stabilization, flexibility exercises, gait and
locomotion training, neuromotor development training, relaxation, strength, power, and
endurance training
b. Functional training
c. Manual therapy
d. Airway clearance techniques
e. Integumentary repair and protection
f. Use of electrotherapeutic, physical agent and mechanical modalities
12. Designs, fabricates, fits and/or applies adaptive devices, and trains patients in the use of adaptive devices included orthotics and prosthetics with the supervision of the Clinical Instructor.
13. Selects appropriate activities suited to the individual's physical and mental capacity, intelligence level and interest with the supervision of the Clinical Instructor.
14. Instructs patient in the skills and techniques required for participation in mobility activities and
evaluates patient progress, attitudes, and behavior as related to rehabilitative potential with the
supervision of the Clinical Instructor.
15. Performs routine reexamination as needed/required to modify/progress plan of treatment with the supervision of the Clinical Instructor.

Summary

Under indirect supervision the Student Services Coordinator serves as on-site and remote liaison and facilitator between the program activities and students. Maintains detailed records of students enrolled into the programs. Collaborates with the community in the achievement of program goals and funding objectives. Additionally, must possess the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Assist in the recruitment and orientation activities for programs.

Ensure that the CASAS appraisals, pre-test, and post-test materials are prepared and administered in a timely manner.

Communicate regularly with the Administrative Offices and ensure all CASAS paperwork is delivered within the specified due date.

Provides on-site and remote support for students.

Provide stellar customer service by greeting visitors and answering all incoming telephone calls.

Assist students with basic technical issues.

Represent and market the various programs to the target community/region.

Serve as a resource to the community by informing of program related activities and issues.

Analyzes and monitors some of the student recruitment, retention, and average daily attendance (ADA).

Report weekly and monthly activity reports to Supervisor.

Manage and maintain physical and electronic student files in a central, organized manner.

Maintain productive working relationships with external community organizations.

Initiate purchases and distribution of materials and supplies.

Student enrollment and registrations into various programs.

Collaborate with all site staff in maintaining the site clean and organized.

Be in compliance with the county health department regulations for NSLP (National School Lunch Program).

Collaborate with Instructors and teachers to ensure a positive student experience.

Perform clerical duties, office maintenance and upkeep to optimize site operations.

Properly store meals, keep constant rotation of food and track inventory to reduce food waste.

Document and track the distribution of technological devices to students.

Submit all student enrollments/registrations, transcripts and student requests to the appropriate departments in a timely manner.

The California Energy Commission is seeking to hire one student assistant to provide administrative support within the Personnel Office. Under general supervision, the Student Assistant will deliver exceptional customer service to Energy Commission employees. The Student Assistant will work closely with a full-time Office Technician, independently process personnel documents, collaborate in a team environment, and perform general clerical tasks.

The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service that is accurate, timely, and exceeds customer expectations.

This position is located at 715 P Street. Sacramento CA.

This is a part-time, temporary, non-benefited, student position. Employment in all positions with University Enterprises, Inc. is dependent upon the mutual consent of University Enterprises, Inc. and the employee. This means that either University Enterprises, Inc. or the employee can, at any time, terminate the employment relationship at will, with or without cause.

Depending on the type of position you are applying for, a pre-employment background check consisting of one or more of the following may be conducted: employment history, professional references, criminal check: educational verification (degree, license, or official transcript) or DMV clearance. Applicants will be required to pass required pre-employment checks to the satisfaction of University Enterprises, Inc. (UEI) and the hiring Agency or Department.

UEI does not allow students to hold more than one UEI Job at a time, or work in more than one account per pay period. UEI employees who are considering leaving their current UEI Student assistant position for a different UEI student assistant position should inform their supervisor in writing and provide at least a week's notice.

UEI is not a multi-state employer. UEI only employs candidates who live and work in the state of California. If selected for the position you must reside in California and all work must be performed in the state of California throughout the course of employment.

Prerequisites

Must be a college student attending classes during the regular term (Fall, Spring and Winter, if applicable), at one of the accredited colleges or universities on our affiliation list.

Students must be enrolled in at least: six-semester units or nine quarter units for undergraduate students; four-semester units or six quarter units for graduate students.

Students declared major must match the major(s) listed in the job posting.

Majors/Fields of Study

Accounting, Business Administration, Communication Studies, Computer Science, English, Finance, Government, Public Policy and Administration, Human Resources, Sociology, any closely related field.

Work Schedule

Flexible workdays and work hours, Monday - Friday, between 8 AM - 5 PM. The final work schedule will be determined by the supervisor.

Additional Work Schedule

Student Assistant and Graduate Assistant employees generally work up to 24 hours per workweek (Sunday - Saturday) during the academic year and up to 40 hours per workweek during breaks; (winter, spring, and summer).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Students must be in good standing and have a minimum 2.0 GPA or above.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing).
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good work.
Preferred Qualifications

*Individuals who are, or have been, a dependent child in foster care, a homeless youth or a formerly incarcerated youth as defined by Government Code section 18220 are encouraged to apply and will be given priority. Please note that prior to appointment, individuals claiming preference under one of these categories will be required to furnish documentation establishing their eligibility.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintaining confidential files.
  • Computing database logs and reports.
  • Researching, gathering, and compiling data for various personnel projects.
  • Filing, photocopying, uploading documents into the Electronic Filing System.
  • Faxing documents, etc.
Physical Requirements

Sit for extended periods; frequently stand and walk; manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination; corrected hearing and vision to normal range; verbal communication; use of office equipment including computer workstations, telephones, calculators, copiers, printers, and scanners with or without reasonable accommodation.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a remote environment.

The decision to permit an employee to work from home is at the discretion of the supervisor or employer and may, at any time and with or without cause, unilaterally terminate the option to work from home.
