Working Supervisor
The Clinic Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of day-to-day clinic operations in a medical office practice and monitors the activities of all office operations components to ensure the clinic meets its objectives. The Clinic Supervisor reports directly to Clinic Administrator or Senior Clinic Administrator and advises and seeks consent from the organizations leadership team to coordinate and manage the activities in the clinic.

ResponsibilitiesDepartmental Support/Employee Development
- Coordinating day to day clinic operations and provide day to day support for staffing schedules of providers, nurses and PSR's. Hiring and onboarding of appropriate staff.
- Supervise assigned clinical and/or patient service representatives.
- Provide Leadership within the clinic setting in order to ensure effective, efficient office operations, optimizing performance and continually improving the quality of care in a vastly changing health care environment.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of and provide operational support for tasks and job functions performed in areas of responsibility, including protocols, processes, policies and procedures.
- First line decision maker with respect to employee relations situations; informing appropriate clinic administrator/senior clinic administrator of all employee situations and partnering with appropriate clinic administrator/senior clinic administrator on high level employee situations.
- Balance team and individual responsibilities; be open and objective to other's views; give and welcome feedback; contribute to positive team goals; and put the success of the team above own interests.
- Follow protocols and policies in decision making.
- Identify and resolve day-to-day issues related to position of oversight.
- Seek guidance from clinic administrator/senior clinic administrator as needed.
- Be aware of what is happening in the clinic/department and the organization by attending clinic/department meetings, reading emails and regularly checking information on the organization's intranet site. Demonstrate initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed customer expectations.
- Create a culture of innovation, learning, teamwork and professional practice, consistent with the mission, vision and values of the organization
Patient Care/Patient Education
- Establishing effective mechanisms of communication with staff, providers and patients. Act as a liaison between providers/patients/leadership.
- Act as a liaison between physicians/providers/patients and the organization's leadership team to achieve effective communication and optimal operational processes.
- Take the leadership role in times of disaster to secure the safety of staff, patients, visitors, the facility and protected health information when possible.
Qualifications
Required:
- RN/LPN/CMA or combination of education and experience required.
- Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
Preferred:
- Business and/or health care management degree preferred.
- 2-3 years clinic operations experience preferred.

Reports to and assists Facilities Manager with overall accountability and responsibility for the physical plant operations of a 345,000 square foot, highly automated pharmaceutical distribution center which operates 24/7/365.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
- Maintenance, training and oversight of current/cutting edge industrial automation/machinery to include, sorters, conveyors, warehouse management systems and material handling equipment.
- Responsibility for facility equipment audits and record retention policies.
- Oversight and responsibility for all safety and security protocols to include working with on-site senior management to ensure strict adherence to same. These include, but are not limited to: OSHA, FDA, DOT, Fire Detection, DEA and PDMA monitoring/compliance.
- Maintain and support security systems including state of the art intrusion detection, access system and camera systems.
- Responsible for all management of building cleanliness and maintenance both internal and external.
- Oversight and management of facilities projects. Project management will often require working closely with vendors to gather estimates and adhere to budget forecasts.
- Management of both the maintenance and janitorial staff.
- Engagement with risk management insurance and property management companies.
- Development, oversight and accountability for a yearly MRO supply budget and associated inventories.
- Tactical operation planning, human resource planning and associated allocations.
- Contractor engagement including oversight and management of all contracts for facility services.
- Management and maintenance of electric forklifts, man-lifts, scrubbers and sweepers including safety programs.
Minimum Requirements
- 2+ years facilities engineering experience and demonstrated leadership skills
Critical Skills
- 3+ years of experience as a facilities lead
- Detailed working/troubleshooting knowledge of PLC logic and warehouse control systems. From relay logic to microprocessor based controls.
- Proven ability to read and comprehend complex electrical, mechanical and automation system prints quickly and have the ability to convey information to facilities team under high pressure situations.
- Working knowledge of all "trade" categories, including, but not limited to Electrical, Mechanical, Temperature controls systems and HVAC. Typical system knowledge require include power feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, AC/DC drives, PLC's, UPS systems, air handling units and CRAC units.
- Aptitude to organize self as well as other team member activities.
- Working knowledge of or capacity to learn PC software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), CMMS (Maintenance Connection), Warehouse Control Systems and other automation software.
- Must be open to flexible schedule to include overtime, short notice call-ins and holidays; typical shift will be Night shift, Sunday through Thursday
- This individual will be responsible for our Site Safety Officer Program and will take on the necessary duties and training required to maintain compliance.

- Proven leadership/team building skills which adhere to McKesson's ICARE (Integrity, Customer Centered, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) principals.
- Capability to effectively negotiate with and manage vendors
- Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other verifiable training in a relevant technical field.

Physical Requirements
- General office demands as well as the ability to meet demands of facilities work which includes lifting/carry items up to 100 pounds and climbing ladders.

Iowa Department of Health and Human Services has a current opening for a team member in the Family and Child Well-Being Division. HHS is responsible for working with families who have experienced abuse and neglect. You play a key role in preparing and supporting children and families to be successful. You will also assist families in realizing their full potential by working with them as experts, case planning with team members, and the courts, and connecting families to community resources.
HHS, Family Well-Being and Protection Division, is seeking Child Protection Supervisors (Social Work Supervisors) to plan, direct and supervise a unit of social workers who conduct child abuse assessments and/or provide child welfare services. This is a full-time opportunity, Monday Friday with typical hours being from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with extra hours as needed including after-hours and weekend on-call rotation. These positions require an in-office presence to your assigned location and travel to various other offices within the Service Area to meet with staff, attend court hearings and meet with clients and families as needed. Mileage is paid at $0.50/mile travelled according to the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) State Accounting Enterprise Procedures.
A valid driver's license is required however, you may request to reserve a state vehicle if available. This position will be domiciled (work location) in Mason City and will provide services in that and surrounding counties. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Coordination and implementation of goals and objectives to achieve desired outcomes
- Clinical supervision around case outcomes to assure the safety of children
- Communicating and adhering to current policy and procedure affecting the work
- Assignment work to ensure efficiency in service delivery and equitable workload
- Assigning and monitoring all work schedules, manage overtime allocations, and providing input to administration
- General supervision around job duties and performance through regularly scheduled individual supervisory conferences
- Training all new employees and providing regular performance evaluations to all staff at least annually
- Reviewing and approving all legal documents prior to their submission and assuring staff maintain compliance with Iowa Code
- Conducting case record reviews to ensure compliance and quality
- Use of various forms of technological resources to monitor, track, approve and direct work flow
- Conducting regular unit meetings
- Responding to customer and employee inquiries and concerns in a timely manner to assure that issues are resolved
- Establishing and maintaining working relationships with collaterals and maintaining a working knowledge of community resources
- On a rotating basis, be available to all staff after hours and on-call as needed providing case consultation, crisis resolution, and approval of emergency removals.
The ideal candidate will be able to meet the following requirements:

This position accepts the responsibility and accountability for the delivery of patient care with the multidisciplinary team while using the nursing process and maintaining professional nursing standards.
The Clinic Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operation and support of all clinical/nursing providing patient care within the facility. This includes the evaluation, revision, and implementation of clinical policies and procedures related to the delivery of safe and efficient quality nursing care, maintenance of clinical staff personnel and education records, in-services and performs Clinical Staff functions.
Position Qualifications
Education: A current Iowa License as a Registered Nurse is required. Associate's degree in nursing is required. Bachelor's of Science in Nursing is preferred.
Experience: Must have demonstrated competency as an RN through a minimum of three years of experience. Supervisory experience in an ambulatory care setting is preferred.
Special Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge of management and nursing organizational practice to direct the operation of clinical staff.
- Knowledge of the principles and practice of employee development to train, delegate, and mentor staff.
- Knowledge of medical safety practices and standard requirements to evaluate existing standards and implement new procedures that are age specific.
