**Job Description:**
**_About the Role:_**
As the Manager, Supply Planning (Material Planning), your role is to manage material requirements schedules and lead a team of material planners for a Business Unit. This role provides strategic/tactical direction regarding the management of inventories at manufacturing facilities, copackers and distribution centers. You will drive cost savings regarding working capital and inventory life cycle. Oversee and direct the Supply Chain Planning functions for scheduling, inventory and capacity planning. You will also provide counsel to manufacturing facilities regarding detailed scheduling and to deployment functions to drive least landed cost. This role is responsible for driving inventory, service and other S&OP metrics.
**_You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:_**
+ Develop and maintain material planning assumptions in conjunction with purchasing, planning, operations, logistics/warehousing and commercial teams, including safety stocks, lead times, lot sizing, scrap factors and cycle times.
+ Manage escalated supplier issues partnering with procurement and putting together mitigation strategies.
+ Monitor supply plans to identify changes and to determine their effect on material requirements schedules.
+ Develop solutions with suppliers and internal resources for back orders, short stock, excess items, and slow-moving inventory.
+ Analyze supplier performance and inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste or optimize customer service.
+ Participate in SIOP/IBP Supply Reviews and Supplier Quality Business Review with Supplier Integration Team.
+ Manages transition of components related to reformulations, redesigns, new product introductions, and item discontinuation.
+ Utilize systems to proactively identify and communicate key drivers and proposed solutions to service and inventory issues.
+ Work cross-functionally with Supply Planning, Logistics, Customer Service, Procurement and Operations to ensure cross-functional alignment and company objectives.
+ Make recommendations to enhance business processes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.
+ Oversite of Vendor Invoice Management System (VIMS) and contract adherence.
**_Important Details:_**
+ This is a full-time permanent position located in our Oak Brook, IL corporate office.
+ The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $95,000 to $142,600 annually. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics and business or organizational needs. For certain roles, the successful candidate may be eligible for annual discretionary merit compensation award, bonus and equity pay.

Position Summary:

The role's purpose is to turn data into insight and analyze the implications to the franchise specifically around the performance KPIs, root cause analysis and recommendations in correcting KPI performance to the franchise team. •Support the creation of executive communication for weekly and monthly updates to support franchise planning leader in highlighting key issues.
•Support the tracking of Phase in and Phase out status of the product portfolio, to support visibility and tracking of the ongoing status of products within the franchise
•Development of strategic portfolio segmentation within planning to identify the product role and requirements such as how it should be treated. Planning, inventory and replenishment method, or forecasting demand method, from supply perspective.
•Support the creation of project management tracking documents to act as support within the plant/franchise in tracking key improvement plans and activities

Management Level: P5SUMMARY: To provide a constrained production plan and deployment recommendations using appropriate planning tools in support of the S OP process. The plan should balance the competing metrics of service levels distressed inventory rates finished goods inventory levels and plans and costs associated with manufacturing and distribution of those products.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Interacts regularly with Marketing Brand Managers and Directors; Plant Managers; Operations Directors and VPs; Category Management Directors and VPs.To all of these positions the Supply Planner will be a key contact representing the Supply Chain for their items.Develops and maintains a 13-week master production plan for assigned categories across multiple manufacturing facilities.The Supply Manager will be responsible for highly complex and visible categories.Works across and collaborates with multiple categories to mentor coach and train develop other planners. Supports and leads the development of incremental tools and processes that support the continued growth of the organization including innovation LEAN initiatives and other cross-functional activities.Plans controls production and sets distribution inventory goals for finished goods.Maintain Manugistics settings for assigned category.Entry and maintenance of purchase orders for assigned category.Validate long term schedule months 3-18 and maintaining the JDA model in support of Plant Planning requirements to improve schedule outputs.Assists in budgeting process for Supply Chain provides long term plans PSI.Represents Supply Chain in S OP process. Leads weekly Operations Meetings.Communicates supply chain issues recommendations for resolution within these meetings.Interfaces with Plant Schedulers to convert rough-cut production plan to finite schedule on a weekly basis.Review potential shortages daily and communicate potential shortage distressed information to the front end and other appropriate departments.Responsible for notifying Procurement Plant Planning of significant changes that affect high-risk items.Participate in meetings with cross-functional team members to support business initiatives and adjust plans accordingly.Responsible for driving resolution of any shelf-life issues on packaging and raw materials with Procurement Distressed Sales Team through the S OP process.QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years field experience in planning and operating supply chain assets within a high-volume CPG environment. Proficient or well-developed with advanced planning technology and decision support tools Proven problem-solving experience involving a variety of functional departments and management levels.Computer Skills: Excellent PC skills - Excel, Word, Power Point, JDA, and SAP technology.Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are essential.Position Specific: Familiarity with advanced planning technology and decision-support tools and CPIM or APICS designation preferred.Work Shift:1ST SHIFT (United States of America)Tyson is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Description

Coordinate the right products to be in the right place, at the right time, and in the right quantity. Work closely with cross functional teams to align supply, close supply gaps, and communicate supply health, supply risks, and gap closing actions to achieve customer demand and internal business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Planning Analysts support the business through one or more supply focus areas, Manufacturing, New Product Development (NPD), Business Intelligence (BI), Systems, Supply Demand Balance
  • Generate, maintain, and communicate production plans in one or more supply area to meet target customer service levels and financial goals.
  • Set achievable delivery expectations with our internal partners for product launches, supply gap recovery, and other key production/procurement targets.
  • Analyze, monitor, and flag capacity concerns with operations leadership, making recommendations as appropriate.
  • Identify problems associated with established production plans and resolve them by collaborating with Planning, Purchasing,
  • Utilize analytical tools and methodologies (scenario models, simulation, programming, decision support systems, etc.) to identify potential delivery gaps, improve supply plans, reduce cost, reduce working capital, improve asset utilization, etc.
  • Communicate complex supply plans and analyses concisely, simply, and accurately with internal business partners and leaders to facilitate important business decisions.
  • Complete Ad Hoc Supply Reviews and/or Inventory removal requests.
  • Prep and analyze data for cross-functional meetings (back orders, supply health, production plans, and related topics)
  • Lead meetings to review backorders, supply health, production plans, and related topics
  • Utilize ERP (QAD) and other systems/tools in conjunction with business processes to drive MRP planned orders toward meeting business objectives (delivery, inventory, cost, etc.)
  • Support process improvement projects in respective supply focus area to enhance existing processes and systems.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution preferred. May consider relevant work experience in lieu of bachelor's degree.
Experience:
  • 0+ years' experience in Business Analysis, Supply Planning or Inventory Management within an ERP/MRP environment preferred
  • Basic understanding or experience in production planning, Sales and Operation Planning, Capacity Management, and scheduling, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic understanding of data management and analytics software (SAP, Power BI)
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Intermediate working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Basic working knowledge of Power BI (Building & Designing), Tableau, or similar business intelligence systems preferred
  • Experience with or knowledge of relational databases and programming strongly preferred
  • Must possess and demonstrate strong leadership, team building, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Self-starter, proactive, well organized and able to make sound decisions from proper data analysis
  • Desire to build deep knowledge of medical device products and manufacturing processes
