**Position Summary** **:**
As a Materials Planning Specialist you will be responsible for ordering materials, including raw materials and packaging materials, to meet inventory requirements and ensure the achievement of our customer service goals. You will work closely with the Planning Team, Vendors, Brand Managers, and Procurement to coordinate and optimize the materials planning process. As a Materials Planning Specialist, you will play a vital role in reviewing the master plan and ensuring the timely ordering of required materials. By effectively balancing orders, you will contribute to the successful execution of the production schedule.

**Key Responsibilities** **:**
+ Order all raw materials and/or packaging materials as required, to support the detailed production plan while managing stock cover targets and working capital.
+ Monitor supply signals using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) purchase requisitions to ensure delivery dates, lead times, and required quantities are correct to create purchase orders.  Follow-up with suppliers to ensure material fulfillment.  Tracking should be completed, and actions taken if material is unavailable when needed based on detailed production plan.
+ Identify possible material supply concerns and roadblocks for the factory and escalate to production scheduling supervisor.
+ Review and maintain material master data on a regular basis, validating with suppliers and procurement that proper lead times, min/max inventory levels, safety stocks, and lot sizes are defined.
+ Provide direction on matters regarding supply chain, forecasting, production planning and development.
+ Perform additional duties and requirements as assigned by direct Manager.
**Experience & Education Requirements** **:**
+ Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Business Administration.
+ 2+ years of relevant work experience in Production Planning, Supply Chain, Procurement, and/or Project Management required (equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered - e.g., High School Diploma with 4+ years of relevant work experience) in lieu of degree.
+ Demonstrated fluency in Word and Excel (intermediate level)
+ Experience using ERP systems, such as SAP, in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company preferred.
+ Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
+ Exposure to KPIs and Master Data Management.
+ Excellent communication skills (oral and written), time management, organizational, and stakeholder management skills required.
+ Willingness and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
+ Ability to influence without authority and effectively manage key stakeholders.
+ Team-oriented with strong negotiation skills.
The approximate pay range for this position is $75,000.00 to $85,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. POSITION SUMMARY
As a Materials Planning Coordinator, you will assist the Materials Manager with the procurement of high-quality ingredients in volumes consistent with plant usage, market structures and division guidelines. You will set up logistical movements of contracted ingredients via rail and truck conveyances, with the overview to minimize freight costs. In addition, the Materials Planning Coordinator will monitor the progress of these conveyance movements to constantly maintain optimum inventories, while protecting scheduled production, and minimizing ingredient substitutions as well as rail/truck detention.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Arrange logistical transportation for prescribed ingredients used at the Oklahoma City plant.
+ Assemble the requisitioning of ingredients purchased by the St. Louis Buying Staff via guidelines set forth through our M.R.P systems.
+ Monitor elevator bin space, liquid tanks, and flat-sacked ingredient floor space in collaboration with Unloading Team Leader.
+ Assist with the successful implementation of our Quality Assurance guidelines for incoming ingredients.
+ Utilize and be proficient with information systems, SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
+ Have full working knowledge of other buyer's responsibilities and perform these duties in his/her absence. Provide vacation coverage for other team members.
+ Resolve payment/unloading variance issues as they may arise.

This position reports to the V.P. Global Operations & Supply Chain and is part of the Global Operations & Supply Chain organization located in Indianapolis, Indiana and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Service, BUs, MFG Plants, and Finance, lead the execution of the PSI (Production, Sales, and Inventory) process to balance supply and demand effectively. Collaborate with regional planners to ensure alignment and consistency in planning processes.
+ Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OTD (on-time delivery), past due management, etc., performing PSP (problem solving process) as needed and drive sustainable continuous improvements.
+ Building relationships with internal constituents, Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, and customers through logistics initiatives. Optimize transportation routes and methods to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
+ Lead compliance and governance matters which include internal/external audits and compliance with policies, procedures and government regulations.
+ Deliver 0.75 to 1 inventory turn improvement per year across the company's global manufacturing, service and finished goods inventories. Develop processes through problem solving and actions plans to ensure meeting both Sale objectives and turns improvements, implement best practices for inventory control, including VMI, DC consolidation, shelf-life management and cycle counting.
+ Actively participate in PLCM (product lifecycle Management) process, align demand and supply plans on NPIs (new product introduction), and develop production and inventory phase out plan on obsolete or discontinued products.
+ Lead and manage a team of 35+ supply chain professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities . Recruit and retain capable top talent with good potentials, foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field with 20+ years of related experience. A Master's degree with 18+ years of related experience. Additionally, 6+ years in leadership roles.
+ Proven track record in supply chain management, including global planning, PSI, distribution and logistics, with a global footprint.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and deliver results consistently.
+ Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g. Oracle) and advanced Excel.

+ Ability to travel up to 25% both domestic and internationally
