About the Role: As a Surface Mining Equipment Operator, you will perform various tasks related to equipment operations. The Surface Mining Equipment Operator will work closely with supervisors and other team members to maintain a safe work environment while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Push material with a bulldozer on steep slope stockpiles to manage stockpile size and push to feeders (ROM, Clean Coal, Train, and Barge Loadout Areas).
- Move and/or load material on stockpiles, trucks, and feeder hoppers (ROM, Clean Coal, Train, and Barge Loadout Areas).
- Bulldozers (D11 and smaller)
- Frontend Loaders (WA600, WA500)
- Load and unload materials on or from delivery trucks with a skid steer or telehandler forklift.
- Operate either rigid frame or articulating dump trucks.
- Set up, start, and maintain portable pumps, air compressors, generators, and light plants.
- Run water trucks and keep dust in compliance on roadways and yards.
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of prep plant machinery.
- Follow all safety and environmental regulations to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
