**JOB SUMMARY**
The Surgery Scheduler supports the practice in being responsible for scheduling all surgeries for the department and coordinates all activities with appropriate members of surgical team, hospital admissions and OR. Ensures that all surgery ancillary coordination and OR capacity is provided to the physicians. Schedules office visits ensuring that the physician's and advanced practice providers clinic schedule are properly utilized.
**Accountabilities**
· Patient Communication
· Establishes positive relationships with patients by demonstrating knowledge of patient history with practice, treating them with compassion and responding to their individual needs
· Focuses practice on patient needs by communicating patient information to practice employees as appropriate
· Informs patient of care and follow-up as appropriate
· Advises patients about office policies and procedures; returns patient phone calls as defined by the practice
· Surgery Planning
· Receives surgery information from doctor and advises patient on doctor availability
· Obtains accurate insurance information for insurance verification and pre-certification as needed
· Assists patient with and verifies various medial forms related to scheduled surgery - serves as witness to signed consents as directed
· Obtains and records all required information from treating physician
· Processes patient/procedure history information for patient and surgeon
· Contacts OR to schedule surgery arranges required preadmission and/or radiology testing then relays the information to the patient
· Notifies all necessary departments of upcoming surgery using pre-established communication channels
· Contacts insurance company for patient's eligibility and coverage and completes insurance verification
· Completes all required forms for internal and external departments; sends completed history & physical and consents to hospital per practice procedure
· Explains to patient self-pay liability then consults with Billing Dept. to set up payment plans
· Accurately updates OR schedule/copies and distributes to appropriate staff
· Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures
· Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization
**Qualifications**
· High School Diploma (Required)
· 1+ years of related medical office experience (Required)

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to work as an integral member of the Cardiovascular Surgery team at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing surgical assistance in the OR, Cath Lab and/or bedside, seeing patients in the clinic, as well as pre and postoperative patient care including test interpretation and patient referral under the responsibility and supervision of the surgeon. The NP will be expected to perform procedures including central line/A line insertions, troubleshooting Swans, ECMO management, IABP management, and be comfortable titrating vasoactive medications. A minimum of two (2) years' prior experience working as a Nurse Practitioner in a Cardiac Surgery program within the last six (6) years is highly preferred. Endoscopic and open vein harvesting experience is also preferred. RNFA certification is required to perform duties in the OR.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The RN inpatient Nurse assesses patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. The inpatient Registered Nurse administers nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. The RN may advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention. The inpatient RN will maintain accurate, detailed reports and records and administer medications to patients while monitoring for reactions and side effects. The RN will monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.

  • AHA BLS prior to end of orientation period

Position: Dentist Location: Bethlehem, PA - Allentown 10mSchedule: Full-Time, permanent positionPosition Overview A dedicated Dentist is needed to provide direct dental care services primarily on mobile dental vans and in dental centers. This role includes clinical care, supervision of dental staff, and participation in a dental residency program. Key Responsibilities Provide a full range of dental services to patients. Assess and treat patients with competency in growth and development-based care. Supervise dental assistants, hygienists, and dental residents, including competency assessments and performance evaluations. Maintain accurate and timely patient charting in Epic EMR. Participate in quality improvement processes and monitor infection control and safety compliance.
