Summary The Orthopedic Surgery Department staff surgeon reports to the Chief, Orthopedic Surgery Section, Surgical Service. A staff surgeon routinely performs outpatient and inpatient orthopedic surgery examinations, determines diagnoses, and initiates treatments based on orthopedic surgery education and standards of care. The staff orthopedic surgeon serves as a consultant to other medical center staff and trainees. An immediate opportunity exists in the Department of Surgery for a full-time Vascular Surgeon. The Department is seeking a Vascular Surgeon interested in resident education to join and become an integral member of the vascular team. The surgeon would be appointed to the Department of Surgery with responsibilities relating to serving as a faculty member, traditional inpatient and outpatient services in the elective, urgent, and emergent care of the vascular patient, teaching, and on-call coverage.
