**Marshfield Clinic Health System** is seeking a full-time BC/BE Pediatric Surgeon to join our established Pediatric Surgical Department at Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin. You will join an experienced group of Pediatric Surgeons to further develop the program and provide comprehensive care to our pediatric patients in Northcentral Wisconsin. This position is well supported which includes a Physician Assistant who is part of the program, along with all Pediatric Subspecialities available onsite. You will be responsible for training our General Surgery residents in Pediatric Surgical Care. Opportunities exist to help lead the Pediatric Trauma Program and serve as the Surgical Liaison to COG if desired. The Marshfield Clinic Research Institute (MCRI) will support research initiatives if desired.

Our 56-bed Children's Hospital is Central Wisconsin's only accredited pediatric hospital, and one of only four in Wisconsin. It is equipped with the latest technology, more than 40 pediatric specialties and board-certified pediatric hospitalists, intensivists, and neonatologists. This is a full-time locum tenens position to cover an FMLA leave. The APC will work directly with and support two neurosurgeons for clinic, call, and surgical duties.
Job Details:
- Clinics operate Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, seeing 10-12 patients daily
- Call frequency is 1:3 weekdays/weekends with 20-minute beeper response time
- Surgical first assist for craniotomy, craniectomy, spinal fusions, decompressive surgeries, and interventions for aneurysms, tumors, and nerve injuries
- Perform bedside procedures independently
- Round independently in all hospital units including NICU, PICU, Peds, ICU (surgical and medical), and general med/surg floor
- Handle hospital and ER/UC consults

**Marshfield Medical Center (MMC) in Marshfield, Wisconsin** is seeking a BC/BE fellowship trained Trauma Surgeon to join an established 7 member Trauma Surgery section. This role is a .75 FTE. The service is an acute care trauma service model covering all aspects of acute care surgery, critical care and trauma. MMC is a Level II Trauma Center. Trauma attending is in house 24/7.
During the day, one trauma surgeon/surgical intensivist or critical care intensivist staffs the SICU, one surgeon staffs the Acute Care Surgical Service and one surgeon is dedicated to trauma patients on the floor and to trauma activations. At night, one trauma surgeon covers SICU, Acute Care Surgical Service and Trauma. 4-5 night shifts per month. Back-up for the night trauma surgeon is covered by a day trauma surgeon. The ICU and trauma services are each supported with allied health providers. The acute care surgical service includes surgical resident supervision. The ideal candidate will have completed a Surgical Critical Care or Acute Care Fellowship and be board certified/board eligible for surgical critical care through the American Board of Surgery. An interest in participating in trauma research is required.

**JOB SUMMARY**
The Perioperative Assistant provides assistance to the Prep and Hold, Operating Room, and Recovery Room personnel. This individual provides care contributing significantly to the achievement of patient and family outcomes. The Perioperative Assistant is responsible for completing clerical and technical support to aid in planning for patients comfort, and safety.
**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**
**EDUCATION**
_For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation._
**Minimum Required:** None
**Preferred/Optional:** Graduate of a medical assistant or nursing assistant program.
**EXPERIENCE**
**Minimum Required:** None
**Preferred/Optional:** Experience working as a certified nursing assistant or related field.
**CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES**
_The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position._
**Minimum Required:** Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification awarded by the State of Wisconsin or equivalent experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
**Preferred/Optional:** Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.

The Certified Medical Assistant functions as an important member of the healthcare teams by providing basic clinical, clerical, and technical support to assist providers in planning for patients' care, comfort, and safety.
