The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a member of the patient care team and is responsible for assisting with providing patient care under the general direction of a Registered Nurse. This person works side-by-side with an RN to set-up dialysis machines, cannulate, start, monitor, and end dialysis. HOURS: Part-Time or 0.6 FTE, 48 Hours Biweekly, Shift: Day/PM Rotation, Every Other WeekendExperience/QualificationsKnowledge of patient care standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.CCHT (Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Tech) certification or obtained within 18 months of hire. This includes continuing education credits/CEUs needed to maintain applicable certification.Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.Demonstrates a working knowledge of principles of aseptic techniques.
