**Vice President, Perioperative Nursing**
_Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK)_
As the Vice President, Perioperative Nursing, you will lead and evolve MSK's perioperative nursing strategy, workforce, and operations across surgical and procedural settings. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Perioperative, Procedural & Clinical Operations and dotted line to the Senior Vice President & Chief Nursing Executive (SVP/CNE), you will translate MSK's Department of Nursing vision into execution across perioperative services.
This is a critical leadership role with oversight of nursing operations and surgical services across MSK's inpatient and procedural platforms-including the main hospital, Josie Robertson Surgery Center, regional outpatient surgical sites, and interventional procedural areas. You'll partner with cross-functional leaders to strengthen safety, optimize workflows, and ensure high-quality care experiences for patients undergoing surgery and procedures.
The ideal candidate is operationally savvy, team-oriented, and calm under pressure-able to lead through change, engage front-line teams, and deliver strong clinical and operational outcomes.

**Key Qualifications**
+ Direct experience as an Operating Room Nurse.
+ More than 10 years of progressive nursing leadership in perioperative or procedural environments, preferably in an academic medical center or large health system.
+ At least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing OR/procedural operations across multiple sites.
+ Proven ability to drive alignment, efficiency, and safety in complex surgical settings.
+ Experience supporting end-user optimization in Epic environments.
+ Master's degree required; NYS and NJ RN license and ANCC Magnet-recognized certification required
+ CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room)required

As our Sr Director Nursing Perioperative Services at St. Mary Medical Center you will be responsible for Surgical service departments including OR, Pre-Op, PACU, GI, and SPD. Many surgical specialties are supported, including trauma, cardiac, ortho, bariatrics, urological, gastroenterology, as well as general surgery. We have 10 Operating Rooms and utilize the latest technologies and equipment such as the daVinci robotic system.
You will direct the operations, work with Sr. Leadership on strategy and key initiatives, and work with the Nurse Manager Periop, Nurse Manager GI/SDS, Manager SPD, and other front-line leaders to ensure we maintain high standards of patient care in very fast paced environments.
You will advise medical staff, other department heads, and administrators in matters related to patient care, clinical best practices, and strategies. You will communicate the organization's goals to the staff as we constantly seek to better serve our community by improving patient experience and delivering exceptional quality care.
We are looking for an experienced director, with a track record of success in mid to large sized hospitals overseeing inpatient Perioperative services. **Job Summary and Qualifications**
Under the general direction of the Inpatient Services Director for the designated Nursing Unit, the Registered Nurse is responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to patients on an assigned Unit.
