**Job Description:**
Parsons is seeking professionals with expertise in short-to-medium range radar and FAA surveillance systems to support the modernization and sustainment of the National Airspace System (NAS). Candidates may be considered at the Mid, Senior, or Lead level depending on experience.
**Key Responsibilities (All Levels)**
+ ·Provide subject matter expertise on radar system design, integration, operations, and lifecycle sustainment.
+ Support FAA surveillance programs with performance analysis, troubleshooting, and modernization planning.
+ Collaborate with FAA stakeholders, contractors, and technical teams to align with mission objectives.
+ Deliver technical reports, recommendations, and briefings to FAA leadership.
+ Lead or contribute to engineering initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability of FAA surveillance operations.
**Qualifications & Experience Levels**
**Mid-Level:**
+ 7+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
+ ·Hands-on experience with short-to-medium range radar systems (design, integration, testing, or operations).
+ Ability to conduct performance analysis and provide technical recommendations.
+ Strong technical contributor within a team environment.
**Senior Level:**
+ 12+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
+ Required: Experience supporting FAA programs or equivalent large-scale federal radar/surveillance systems.
+ Preferred: Knowledge of FAA systems such as ASR, SMR, SAI, and/or Alaska-based Surveillance systems.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and serve as a subject matter expert.
+ Proven experience preparing technical reports, analysis, and stakeholder briefings.
**Lead Level:**
+ 15-20+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
+ Required: In-depth expertise with FAA surveillance systems (ASR, SMR, SAI, Alaska-based systems).
+ Recognized subject matter authority advising FAA leadership on system architecture, modernization, and lifecycle support.
+ Proven leadership of large technical teams and/or support to enterprise-scale organizations (1000+ personnel). Ability to shape technical direction, guide program execution, and represent Parsons at the FAA enterprise level

The Payload Launch Sites Support Services (PLSSS)
Program provides all launch processing support functions for Office of Space Launch (OSL). The program's two primary operating locations are Vandenberg AFB, CA, and Cape Canaveral AFS, FL. Key elements of the PLSSS program scope include satellite launch processing, satellite transport operations, satellite propellant loading operations, and satellite processing facilities O&M, clean room operations, and safety and environmental services.
The Engineer selected for this position will be assigned to the Facilities Engineering team and must have the ability to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance so they can work with teammates to accomplish the proper sustainment and operations of U.S. Government security systems supporting Launch processing activities.
Summary of Key Duties for this position:

Job Description
As a Security Systems Technician, you will support the U.S. Navy's mission by installing, configuring, and monitoring a wide array of security technologies. In this role, you will assist with maintaining critical systems, ensuring they perform optimally, and contributing to the safety and security of the Shipyard.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**
+ Assist in the development, troubleshooting, testing, operation, and maintenance of security systems, including Automated Access Control Systems (AACS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV)
+ Configure and install network security system components such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Programmable Logic Relays (PLR), Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), fiber optic video and data transmission equipment, and IP-based packet-switching telecommunications systems
+ Utilize electronics technician methods, basic electrical theory, technical manuals, factory specifications, schematics, and job orders to perform duties
+ Create schematic diagrams, drawings, and sketches of security systems and components as configured. Maintain accurate records of network configurations, changes, and issues
+ Assist senior technicians with the installation and configuration of security and cable systems
+ Adhere to industry safety guidelines and best practices to maintain a safe work environment
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or 6 additional years of related experience as a Security Systems Technician or in a related field may be substituted in lieu of degree
+ 1+ years of experience working with PLC, PLR, UPS, fiber optic video and data transmission equipment, and IP-based packet-switching telecommunications systems.
+ 1+ years of experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting security-related equipment components, including BMS, Maglocks, network cabling, serial cabling, solenoids, door strikes, electric door handles, and relays
+ Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Practical knowledge of electronics principles and participation in security system installations
+ Experience with network analyzing tools used for configuring and troubleshooting network infrastructure security
+ Experience using electronic test equipment such as multi-meters, function generators, mega-ohm meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, and cable testers
+ Understanding of low voltage systems installation and servicing
+ Knowledge of basic electrical theory and National Electrical Code (NEC) for electrical and electronic installations
+ Experience with proper conduit bending and wiring techniques, especially for fiber optics
+ Proficiency in using network troubleshooting tools and techniques
