Job Description

The Sustainability Analyst plays an important role in advancing UL Solutions sustainability goals. The role serves as UL Solutions' sustainability data and software (e.g., UL 360) expert and administrator. With direction the analyst assists with writing business and integration requirements, manages data collection, validation and analysis, coordinates system configurations, monitors system performance and develops reports and dashboards to support the organization's Sustainability/ESG data needs.
+ Business requirements documentation
+ Collaborate with the Sustainability team and internal stakeholders to define data ownership, document requirements for features, functionality, configurations and integrations to meet sustainability data management and reporting/control requirements.

Education / Skills

Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $82,000 to $100,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 10% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).

Partner with Hertz Sustainability & Impact team and Chief Sustainability Officer to understand our voluntary and regulatory reporting/disclosure data requirements, including current state needs and future plans.
Collect, analyze, and interpret required data from multiple Hertz systems and business groups to meet regulatory and voluntary environmental, social and governance reporting/disclosures.
Routinely engage with key contacts across multiple internal business groups to determine opportunities for better data oversight and data management controls.

This role will provide broad support across the team, including project managing the sustainability portion of our integrated annual reporting process and preparing disclosures for third party ESG ratings and rankings. + Conduct research and benchmarking on sustainability practices, trends, and stakeholder expectations; recommend policy or program improvements and proactively inform key stakeholders of emerging issues.
+ Engage internal stakeholders to gather high‑quality content and build alignment on sustainability priorities.
+ Respond to investor and customer sustainability requests and questionnaires; maintain FAQ and standardized response templates to streamline responses.
+ Develop clear, compelling communications and presentations for internal stakeholders including senior executives and board of directors as well as external audiences.
**What we look for:**
+ Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate sustainability/ESG reporting, data management, policy development, or related roles. Experience with voluntary and/or regulatory reporting and environmental inventories required.
+ Demonstrated experience managing multi‑stakeholder projects and working cross‑functionally with Finance, Legal, HR and senior leadership.
+ Familiarity with sustainability frameworks and standards (TCFD, SASB/ISSB, SBTi, CDP) and major rating methodologies (MSCI, Sustainalytics, CDP, etc.).

CBRE is seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Sustainability Manager to join our Americas Sustainability Consulting team. This person will deliver sustainability solutions as a member of a multi-disciplinary project team and will be full-time supporting a multi-year consulting project for a global investment management firm.
This position can work hybrid at the New York City office (work remotely 2-3 days a week, while going into the office 2-3 days/week), or fully remote in the United States on Eastern time zone. + Translate technical findings into actionable insights for investment committee briefs, capex planning, and operational improvement strategies.
+ Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
**Research and Data Analysis:**
+ Utilize internal and third-party software platforms to track emissions, model reduction pathways, and benchmark performance.
+ Engage with external consultants, engineers and software vendors to increase data coverage and data quality, monitor emerging decarbonization technologies, and maintain reporting integrity.

+ Strong understanding of sustainability principles and North American state and local regulatory requirements.
