The team ensures our embedded platforms and new concepts deliver consistent and high performing experiences to customers. You'll participate in the full Fire TV Product Life cycle and play a critical role as Fire TV grows and scales. A day in the life
In the role as Manager for the team you will be partnering directly with Program Managers to drive the System Architecture of new TV concepts, you'll work with development teams as new features are brought up and you'll collaborate with Release Program Managers to bring new improvements and optimizations to our existing customers. The team is focused on the stability and scaling of existing experiences and products as well as many new concepts which are in the works. The work varies greatly and a successful candidate needs to have a curious mind and strong problem solving skills.
About the team
The team mission and charter is anchored in delivering "best in class" experiences to our customers and at the same time to support the growth and scale of the Fire TV brand. To support these goals we're building a team of platform and system architects who can drive the embedded architecture, tools and platform functionality. The group is part of the larger Fire TV experience team which shares similar goals.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- 3+ years of consumer electronics product development at the System/OS/BSP level of new and existing products.

**Key Responsibilities**
Technology Roadmap and Strategy supporting the Silicon Products Group. The incumbent will play a key role in the organization serving both internal and external customers. This role encompasses several responsibilities including understanding memory technology roadmap and its implications to all Applied Business units, supporting the strategic planning processes for the business units, aggregating product and technology strategy for memory devices, supporting market sizing and portfolio prioritization, forecasting and analysis function, and constructing high-level messages and presentations for internal, corporate, and external audiences.
+ Understand industry technology roadmap as well as key path finding activities and implications to Applied
+ Work with a team of marketing, technical, and engineering professionals to identify key challenges for future memory technologies
+ Understand technology inflections in Memory technology and translate to process equipment requirements
+ Size TAM for different segments including new inflections, new TAM

**Functional Knowledge**
+ Excellent understanding of Memory technology and knowledge of process integration and device physics is required.
+ Good understanding of FEOL/ BEOL processes. Knowledge of FEOL/ BEOL equipment is a strong plus.
+ At least 10 years of experience in semiconductor processing as a lead process integration engineer or device engineer working on leading edge technology.
+ Advanced degree (M.S./ Ph.D) in Materials Science/ Electrical Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ Physics or related fields is required. An additional MBA or business courses is preferred.
+ Excellent presentation skills, data analysis skills, and communication skill.
+ Ability to work effectively with all levels and functional areas
+ Advanced Power point and Excel capabilities
