This highly visible individual contributor role will be in Huntsville, Alabama and will support the Air Force’s development, production and deployment of the Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) ground and airborne launch control systems, launch facilities, launch control centers, and associated infrastructure. This position may offer a competitive relocation package. In this role, you will be supporting activities including use case development, requirements definition / allocation, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification & validation, and requirements traceability. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: - Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifacts. - Work with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature architecture content of large programs design. - Help develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure that they are properly represented in the model. - Develop systems architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture (behavioral, structural, analytical). - Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis. - Develop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes (for model development, tool integration, and team integration) Basic Qualification for a Principal Engineer Systems: - Must be a US Citizen with an Active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years - Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs - 3+ years of experience developing or reviewing requirements within DOORS or similar tool - 1+ year experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) OR complex aerospace/defense systems - 1+ year experience in team environments with leadership responsibilities - 1+ year experience creating, updating, and maintaining system performance documentation Preferred Qualifications: - Large scale / complex system development experience across multiple phases of a development program: preliminary design, detailed design, integration and test, verification and sell off, transition to production. - Experience with implementing and using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools, practices, and methods. - Strong understanding and broad application of complex engineering systems (engineering standards, configuration management, material review board, process control, tooling, facilities, software, etc.) for the development of complex systems of systems. - Strong oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience with high value customer presentations, with ability to focus on multiple projects with competing priorities. Ready for a challenge helping defend our country? Parsons is looking to add Systems Engineers in support of the Missile Defense Agency. Our Systems Engineers work with the MDA and function as a technical, engineering, advisory, and management support.
**Duties include:**
+ Provide Systems Engineering expertise and knowledge
+ Identify, analyze, and document system, design, interface, assessment, and validation/verification requirements to include risk assessments
+ Provide Prime Contractor proposal technical evaluation and analysis

**Required Skills:**

Leidos' **Defense Systems Land Systems** is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a team of systems engineers developing a radar system. This Systems Engineer will have the opportunity to travel to customer sites and subcontractor sites (approximately 10% of the time). This Systems Engineer will develop systems engineering artifacts, including Requirements Specifications, Test Procedures, Test Reports, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) content.
The Systems Engineer will work in a matrixed organization, which supports multiple programs at once in a variety of engineering fields with all different team environments. When the radar program ends, the Systems Engineer will have the opportunity to support a different program in the matrixed engineering portfolio. A candidate with experience in other engineering areas such as Test, Model-Based Systems Engineering, Human Factors, Risk Management, and Reliability Analysis will be treated preferentially. The Defense Systems Sector is seeking a talented Systems Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems.
