As a DoD contractor we're looking for an early-career Talent Acquisition Specialist who is detail-oriented, process-driven, and experienced in full-cycle recruitment of both technical and administrative personnel. This is a full-time, exempt, non-supervisory position. The role can be based in our Tucson, AZ; Falls Church, VA; Niwot, CO; or Northridge, CA offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with end-to-end recruitment for a diverse range of roles supporting DoD programs, including both technical and administrative positions.
- Oversee onboarding processes such as background checks, security clearance verifications, and other compliance requirements.
- Recruit and screen candidates ensuring alignment with current company needs.
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers, security teams, and other departments to facilitate smooth hiring and onboarding experience
- Handle candidate communications and interview coordination with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Utilize sourcing tools, including ClearanceJobs and similar platforms, to identify and engage qualified candidates.
- Support HR and Talent Acquisition initiatives and assist with process improvements as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate data and recruitment metrics in applicant tracking systems and other HR platforms.

Experiences and Background We Look For:
- Experience in full-cycle recruitment across technical and administrative roles.
- Ability to conduct behavioral and competency-based interviews.
- Knowledge of DoD security clearances, and onboarding processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow established recruitment processes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality in a sensitive environment.
- Willingness to contribute to HR and TA projects beyond recruitment.
- Interest in developing your career in Talent Acquisition or broader HR functions, aligned with organizational priorities.
- PHR Certification
Nice to Have:
- Degree in Human Resource Management or related fields
- Experience working with or recruiting cleared candidates.
- Experience working with recruiting STEM related professionals
- Experience using ADP WFN
- Basic understanding of DoD contract structures and workforce requirements
The salary range for this role is $78,000 to $85,000; however, Arete considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to: the position and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.

Reporting to the Manager, Global Talent Acquisition this is a new role and ideal for someone looking to contribute to the development of long-term recruiting strategies and find top talent with highly specialized skillsets.
The Location: This position is based in Tucson, Arizona.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Talent Acquisition Specialist you will be responsible for the following:
- Partner with hiring managers to proactively source and attract the best talent for our global teams.
- Manage the recruiting and hiring process including posting jobs, interviewing candidates, managing candidate flow through the ATS, maintaining communication with managers and candidates, managing approvals, and presenting and negotiating offers.
- Partner with management to develop recruitment strategies to build a talent pipeline for key skillsets.
- Manage the candidate immigration and relocation requirements and work with service providers to ensure the best experience.
- Collaborate with the global talent acquisition team to build a pipeline of qualified candidates across our division, optimize the use of our ATS and other tools, advise leaders on interviewing and selection best practices, and develop and maintain employment branding and messaging for our division in partnership with Marketing.
- Attend campus and industry recruiting events; promote our company through these events and our online presence.
Must-Have:
- At least 3 years of experience recruiting in a mix of corporate and agency roles.
- Experience sourcing and recruiting specialized engineering and technical roles across multiple countries.
- A proven track record of successful recruitment and the development of a top talent pipeline.
- Solid working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel approximately 10% of time.
- Fluent in Spanish and English
