We are seeking to add a new analyst to our Tax Planning team. This role provides tax support for the development and financing of renewable-energy projects. The Tax Planning Analyst role involves assisting in the analysis of legal agreements and the modeling of tax consequences of various projects. Our ideal candidate will be familiar with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, will be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment that demands regular reprioritization and will have strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with various subject matter specialists and proactively support the renewable energy business.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Coordinates between NextEra tax planning functional groups to provide timely advice to business units

+ Supports process improvement initiatives by documenting tax planning processes and working with tax planning teams to identify process improvement opportunities

Director Domestic Tax Planning
**What does a successful Director, Domestic Tax Planning do?**
The Director, Domestic Tax Planning will be a key player in identifying, implementing, and defending Federal and State tax planning initiatives and managing controversy. This will require interaction and alignment with various groups across the enterprise. The Corporate Tax team is responsible for all aspects of Fiserv's domestic and international taxes, is part of the CFO's organization, and is viewed as a value-added, trusted business advisor throughout the organization.
**What you will do:**
+ Develop and implement domestic tax planning initiatives including legal entity rationalization, acquisition strategies, domestic transfer pricing strategies etc., to drive shareholder value.
+ Manage and coordinate state and federal tax audits including responses, audit strategies, and coordination with state and local auditors.
+ Lead technical tax research, calculation, and documentation efforts related to state and federal income tax matters.
+ Lead U.S. tax due diligence efforts with respect to potential mergers and acquisitions as well as post-acquisition planning and integration efforts.
+ Lead integration efforts between tax planning, tax reporting, finance, legal, HR, and tax compliance teams to ensure that planning initiatives are properly executed, risks are mitigated, and positions and transactions are appropriately accounted for and reflected in tax returns and ASC 740.
+ Identify, evaluate and implement federal and state credit opportunities including modeling, documentation and coordination with key stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate claims.
+ Support the state tax provision process as part of the company's quarterly and annual tax reporting processes ensuring technical accuracy of current and deferred state tax liabilities.
+ Support the development and implementation of Tax Department automation initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Overview:
The Federal Tax Compliance and Planning team is responsible for preparing and filing all U.S. Federal income tax filings and related estimated payments in a timely manner. The Federal Tax Compliance and Planning team also supports the design and implementation of processes and controls to ensure accurate, complete, and timely compliance with various aspects of financial tax accounting and reporting standards as they relate to income taxes, including but not limited to: interim and annual reporting; current tax provision; uncertain tax positions; deferred taxes; and valuation allowances.
The Senior Analyst, Federal Tax Compliance and Planning prepares and maintains significant aspects of the federal tax records, returns, reports and other related materials in compliance with U.S. federal tax laws and regulations and supports the financial reporting of Mastercard's income tax expense and liabilities. Further, this role has responsibility for supporting acquisition integration; assisting with the planning, development and evaluation of Mastercard's tax policies; and participates in the development of tax strategy, including using legal means to minimize tax liability based on a thorough knowledge of U.S. tax laws and regulations.

- Collect financial data and analyze it for federal tax adjustment reporting in consolidated returns and other filings.
