In this role, you will be responsible for researching and analyzing complex sales and use tax issues to ensure accurate application of state laws and regulations. You will provide direct technical support and guidance to internal staff, assist directly in litigation matters, and serve as a resource to the public by delivering clear and accurate tax-related information. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and research skills, a deep understanding of tax law, and the ability to communicate complex topics in a clear and professional manner.
**The candidates hired and new to this job classification may be eligible to receive a 5,000 hiring bonus!** This bonus will be paid in two increments, with the first payment made after successfully passing the probationary period.
**A 1,000 Referral Bonus may be offered to Revenue staff that recruit new talent hired at Revenue, in this position.** A referral form will be sent to new hires who are in positions eligible for the referral incentives.
This position is eligible for hybrid telework. Effective June 1, employees living within 50 miles of the office will be required to work in the office at least 50% of the time each month. Employees may reside outside the state of Minnesota if they live in a state bordering Minnesota and are within 50 miles of the primary work location.
Existing employees who were approved to telework from a bordering state and more than 50 miles from their work location before June 1, 2025, may retain this arrangement unless they move farther away.
**Minimum Qualifications**

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
+ Responsible for completion of operational transfer pricing setting, monitoring and adjustments.
+ Prepares intercompany agreements to support intercompany transactions.
+ Keeps abreast of the variances in international jurisdictions and supports plans to optimize the amount of taxes paid by the organization across these entities.
+ Supports Staff with requests from external auditors and understands tax compliance.
+ Prepares journal entries to support Transfer Pricing strategies.
+ Calculate and implement intercompany pricing of goods between Medtronic entities.
