The JBT Food Tech Center welcomes customers from across the globe to test their products on our equipment. Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining and supporting sanitation standard operating procedures in the Food Processing Technology center and preparing equipment for customer trials. They also assist in developing programs to ensure maintenance and sanitary conditions of all FPTC facilities and equipment. General Motors has a need for qualified Mechanical Journeypersons (Pipefitters). You will work under minimal supervision with a high level of independent judgement and problem solving. You should be flexible enough to take on and tackle multiple job assignments in a shift.
Preferred Experience Includes:
- Experience with planned maintenance systems and predictive technologies
- Experience with industrial robotics, automation, and conveyance systems
- Follow established safety procedures according to OSHA standards and company procedures
- Maintain, dismantle, repair, and replace mechanical and hydraulic components (e. g. bearings, seals, details, carriers, etc.) on industrial machinery such as shafting, motors, generators, air compressors, engines, pumps, cylinders, gears, couplings, linkages, ball screws, high speed CNC spindles, coolant systems and filters, and combustion equipment and valves
- Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems
- Use various hand or power tools for measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, bending, soldering, assembling, joining, and installing pipes, valves, and fittings
- Read and interpret blueprints for the mechanical operation and assembly of conveyor systems, material handling systems, robots, and other automation
- Operate mobile equipment (e.g. forklifts, vertical lifts, cranes)
- Determine loading requirements to rig equipment and material for lifting
- Set up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to cut, bore, grind, or otherwise shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes
- Fabricate punches, tools, steel rule tools and t-sets to exact specifications
- Plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools or assemblies using blueprints, sketches, or models
- Determine quality of finished products, ensuring defect-free parts, by verifying dimensions, alignment, and clearances for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators

- At least six (6) years of related experience in Pipefitting or a U.S. Department of Labor Certificate of Completion in Pipefitting

This Aseptic Process Engineering position serves as a technical resource in Aseptic Processing and Parenteral Technologies such as Equipment Preparation, Formulation, Filling, Freeze Drying, and Isolation systems, providing expert process engineering support globally. Parenteral sites supported include Indy Parenteral (IPM), Fegersheim, Sesto, Suzhou, Research Triangle Park (RTP), Concord and Alzey. This position also applies technical knowledge to effectively guide and support Lilly's partner companies and contract manufacturers.
_Key Objectives/Deliverables_
+ Technical and Discipline leadership -Partners with other technical staff to direct discipline activities, oversight of the community, new technology development and technology assessments, creation and maintenance of Engineering Standards, Master specifications and Best Practices for the discipline, and coaching and mentorship of junior engineering staff.

**Basic Qualifications**
+ Bachelorsdegree in engineering or related technical field.

The Engineering Tech Center is responsible for providing global technical expertise in the engineering sciences related to Process Engineering and secondary/tertiary loop disciplines. This Aseptic Process Engineering position serves as a technical resource in Aseptic Processing and Parenteral Technologies such as Equipment Preparation, Formulation, Filling, Freeze Drying, and Isolation systems, providing expert process engineering support globally. Parenteral sites supported include Indy Parenteral (IPM), Fegersheim, Sesto, Suzhou, Research Triangle Park (RTP), Concord and Alzey. This position also applies technical knowledge to effectively guide and support Lilly's partner companies and contract manufacturers.
_Key Objectives/Deliverables_
+ Technical and Discipline leadership -Partners with other technical staff to direct discipline activities, oversight of the community, new technology development and technology assessments, creation and maintenance of Engineering Standards, Master specifications and Best Practices for the discipline, and coaching and mentorship of junior engineering staff.
+ Safety and Compliance - Ensure personal and team compliance with all applicable regulatory and corporate policy requirements; ensure appropriate safety practices and procedures are in place and are followed to prevent injuries; ensures the ETC meets current Quality expectations and is a part of actively monitoring evolving Quality and other regulatory expectations related to engineering

+ Knowledge sharing - Provides ongoing technical support to site engineering groups, domestic and global. Serves as a mentor to Lilly engineers with a focus on technical development and functional capability building. Interfaces with and develops site technical experts in Parenteral Engineering. + External Influence - Monitors and, when appropriate, influences change in external codes and standards on Lilly's behalf. Ensures external learnings are effectively communicated within Lilly and works to ensure ongoing compliance with these learnings.

• Candidates may be required to obtain or maintain a minimum of a SECRET clearance and access commensurate to their involvement with the USG. Candidates will be subject to investigation as required by the NISPOM, ICD 704 processes, DoD Manual 5205.07, Volume 2, and any additional Government Policy or Directives as determined by the Cognizant Security Agency. Preferred Requirements
• Master’s Degree or PhD is highly desired in a related STEM fields (e.g., Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Technical field).
• Demonstrated experience in DoD (USAF or other DoD service) acquisition programs for aerospace systems.
• Demonstrated experience in an engineering or technical lead position (e.g., Government, Military, or Industry level Program Engineers, Lead Engineers, Technical Advisors, Technical Program Leads, Team/Branch Level Leadership).
• Previously Published Research or contributions to Technical Organizations.
