Safely and accurately performs and reports echocardiology tests according to approved organizational procedures and productivity standards- provides day-to-day direction to echocardiography staff.
Essential Job Duties:
The technical Director's responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Performance of echocardiograms
- General supervision of technical staff
- Daily operation of the department ( e.g., staff scheduling, patient scheduling, record keeping)

- Graduate of an approved echocardiography sonography program or equivalent education and training. Must have experience as required for registry in echocardiography by either the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International
- High School Diploma or equivalency. Associate's Degree or higher preferred
- Three years' experience performing adult echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms.
- Prior leadership role desired

We're looking for a Technical Director to join our team and help us deliver unforgettable experiences through cutting-edge event technology. This is an Independent Contractor role with potential to transition to full-time based on fit and business need.
The Role: Technical Director
As a Technical Director , you'll lead the technical planning and execution of live, virtual, and hybrid events. From staging and lighting to video mapping and rigging, you'll oversee all A/V and event technology components-ensuring flawless execution and innovative solutions. You'll collaborate closely with producers, designers, and vendors to bring creative visions to life while staying on time and on budget.
What You'll Do
- Oversee design, scoping, and execution of all technical elements including:
- Staging, lighting, sound, video (including mapping), rigging, and SFX
- Provide technical support for live, virtual, and hybrid productions
- Collaborate with producers to ensure all technical needs are addressed
- Conduct site surveys and develop accurate equipment and labor estimates
- Coordinate equipment rentals, purchases, and staffing
- Create and review technical drawings and event layouts (Vectorworks preferred)
- Recommend and implement new technologies to enhance event experiences
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and permitting requirements
- Support budgeting, vendor negotiations, and project documentation
- 7+ years of experience in technical event production
- Proven leadership on both large-scale and high-touch projects
- Deep knowledge of A/V systems, lighting, rigging, power distribution, and labor management
- Experience with CAD software (Vectorworks preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Familiarity with virtual/hybrid event platforms and broadcast workflows (encoding, signal management, redundancy)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt quickly
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Experience working with permitting agencies and fire/building departments
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing demands
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed
