**Job Description:**
?As a **Field Service Technician** at Pitney Bowes, you will play a key role in the Client's life cycle and experience. We are seeking mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy working in a client-facing environment. In this role, you will provide service to a variety of clients and support field service for all our shipping and mailing technology, from Inserters to Lockers. A successful **Field Service Technician** is client-centric, has strong customer service, is comfortable managing significant windshield time, and has experience repairing or troubleshooting both hardware and software solutions.
Your primary service area will be within **4** **hours of Mobile, AL** ; some travel beyond this radius may be required.
In this role, you will have a consistent **Monday - Friday** schedule working in alignment with traditional office hours (some overtime may be required). The wage range for this position is **$22 / hour** , with the actual pay dependent on your skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements and the location where you will be performing the job.
This position is eligible to earn an incremental incentive of 10% on any sale of service or parts you present to Pitney Bowes clients.

**Your Background**
As a **Field Service Technician,** you have:
+ Avalid driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliabletransportation

+ The ability to travel within a multi-zip code territory with up to 80% windshield time
+ The ability to bend, squat, stoop, or stand for extended periods of time

This position supports the United States Government capability to technically detect chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear CBRN threats across the nation. The MDDU Equipment Support maintains the readiness of CBRN detection equipment and conducts nation-wide technical CBRN detection operations, training, and exercises to augment and train capability of Federal, state, and local law enforcement partners. This position is contract award dependent. Responsibilities include duties such as tracking and maintaining care, custody, and control of MDDU equipment, conducting inventories, ensuring equipment is repaired, calibrated, and maintained in a ready state, safely handling radioactive sources, performing CBRN detection operations, and performing or assisting in CBRN technical detection exercises.
Requirements include experience in chemical, biological, radiological, and/or nuclear CBRN detection with emphasis on R/N detection, five years' experience in radiation detection training and supporting detection operations, knowledge of using representative R/N detection equipment, knowledge of safely using and handling radioactive sources, ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET level national security clearance and DHS Suitability, and excellent verbal and communications skills.
