**Key Role:**
+ Perform specific duties and responsibilities related to engineering including evaluating systems, products, and components and applications.
+ Review US Air Force Requirements & Optimization (R&O) playbook for project initiations and development of maintenance requirements.
+ Perform inspections on completed project work along with equipment installations capturing Real Property data.
+ Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations.
+ Ability to interpret construction/engineering contract drawings and specifications to ensure all construction meets initial design and specifications.
+ Provides the scope definition, specification, studies, budgeting, and write-up into project proposals of engineering projects and prepares initial government cost estimates for small projects.
+ Performs physical activities including climbing in and around equipment, crawling and working outdoors.
+ Consult and coordinate with mechanical, structural, and civil engineers during the design phase to ensure a proper mechanical layout.
+ Supports/works with project design teams consisting of architects, engineers, and customer's technical staff.
+ Provides technical support to programmers and cost estimators.
+ Conducts technical review of Military Construction (MILCON), Unspecified Minor Military Construction (UMMC), facility projects and architect-engineer designers' plans and specifications.
+ Performs root cause analysis on systems failing prematurely or systemically.
+ Reviews AF Form 332 work request submissions for validity of scope and practicality of work in house.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection architecture or other relevant area in engineering from a program certified by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
+ 0-2 years of experience in engineering.
+ Be able to identify common site architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection/detection system components, and understand how they function.
+ Have experience planning or performing facility maintenance, improvements, or repairs.
+ Experience and aptitude using Microsoft Office applications.
+ Must maintain a valid US driver's license.
+ Able to troubleshoot technical problems and issues, determine technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommend actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution.
+ Have ability to perform repetitive physical tasks involving lifting at least 50 lbs.
+ Be committed to providing for and maintaining a safe working environment.
+ **Must be a US or Permanent Resident** due to contract requirements. This position is required to be on-site and is located on a military installation.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ At least three years' experience working in a military environment and familiarity with US Air Force Civil Engineering guidance, rules, and regulations.
+ Knowledge of construction management software, project closeout procedures, preventive maintenance, construction and repair terminology and processes.

**OVERVIEW**
Install, maintain, and service equipment within multiple product lines. Provide a high level of support for customers and field service operations by exhibiting a high degree of professionalism. May be required to rotate through the Remote Service Center and providing modality-specific technical support to CMSU external customers as well as internal customers (Applications) if qualified and approved. Utilizes product expertise to diagnose/resolve customer issues on first contact to minimize system downtime and maximize FSE dispatch avoidance. **QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Proven ability in developing and maintaining effective internal and external working relationships.
+ Must maintain active motor vehicle/driver's license from the state where the employee resides.
+ 2 Year Associate's Degree in Electronics technology or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
+ 3 years Advanced electronics experience.
+ 5 years Field service experience.
+ VL and XR skills are highly preferred.
+ Field service will cover areas in: Abilene, San Angelo, Wichita Falls, and D/FW
