Reviews design contractor job packets and also checks peer designs Identifies system and field risks and evaluates risk reduction benefit of proposed mitigation projects Provides design engineering, cost estimates, and project management activities for overhead and underground, transmission, sub- transmission, and distribution systems. Will manage these elements from project inception to project closing. Ensures project operating dates and or compliance due dates are actively monitored and met. Monitors, forecasts, schedules and stays within allocated division budget Leads the review of planning and system performance studies for compliance with prevailing standards and criteria Leads environmental planning and permitting work with a multi-disciplinary team throughout the life cycle of a project. Serve as the single point of contact for Operations through the Construction phase of your projects. Provide support to Operations for maintenance related projects. Creates and maintains integral system circuit mapping for both overhead and underground facilities Performs field inspections to gather data relevant to the planning and development review process and to verify that planning development projects comply with approved plans. Manage the digital and geospacial records of our Transmission, Sub Transmission, and Distribution assets to ensure accuracy and timely reporting to other internal groups and outside agencies A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity. Minimum Qualifications Five or more years of experience performing electrical utility distribution service planning. Possess a valid Class C Driver's License. Preferred Qualifications Thorough knowledge of engineering principles, construction standards, and industry practices. Experience with CAD based design. Experience determining scope of work, method of service, and construction methods for overhead and underground facilities. Experience communicating with customers, Distribution Engineering, and other internal organizations to determine technical requirements regarding the design of new client-driven projects. Experience defining the scope and operational requirements for preparation of preliminary electrical and civil design. Experience preparing distribution work orders or construction plans on projects. Experience analyzing and/or designing engineered civil drawings. Experience coordinating design activities for all infrastructure replacement programs, including, among others, UPC circuits, capacitors, deteriorated structures, cable replacement, switch replacement, and AR replacement programs. Experience overseeing the design of major under grounding projects and new circuits. Experience as senior staff, providing leadership, direction, training and mentoring to staff. Experience using interpersonal skills to handle customer relations issues in an effective manner. Experience managing multiple and/or sensitive projects and functioning effectively under tight time constraints, shifting priorities and making critical decisions with minimal supervision. Accurately analyze information and make sound decisions that have considerable business impact. Interface effectively and collaborate with clients, peers, management, and other work units. Taking initiative and accountability for the accuracy and quality of information and for achieving results. Able to drive, traverse on uneven surfaces, occasionally lift up to 40 lbs., sit/stand for extended periods of time, work in various weather conditions. Additional Information This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. **Roles and Responsibilities**
+ **MES Instruction Development and Maintenance:**
+ Create, review, and update step-by-step instructions in the MES software to ensure they are clear, accurate, and aligned with safety standards.
+ Collaborate with Hourly Technicians to gather feedback and implement improvements to MES instructions based on their suggestions.
+ **Safety and Quality Assurance:**
+ Ensure all MES instructions comply with safety protocols and quality standards.

+ **Technical Writing Expertise:**

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

The Technical Production Planning Specialist-Long Term Planning reports directly to the Manager, Technical Production Planning, Trans States Holdings. The minimum qualifications for this position requires:

  • Degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or A&P License, preferred.
  • 2 years’ experience in Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering of which at least 1 years in Maintenance Planning, preferred.
  • Fully conversant with aircraft systems, power plant and components.
  • Thorough knowledge of related Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering functions, aircraft regulatory requirements and maintenance documentations.
  • Proficient with Computer applications such as Microsoft Project and Office. Knowledge of CATS is an advantage.
  • Complete INDOC and aircraft FAM (or equivalent) training.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of GMM and CAMP requirements.
  • Experience of CRJ products, preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Included in position but not limited to:

  • Develop and manage all LONG-TERM planning activities related to changes in aircraft fleets, including, but not limited to,
    • Aircraft acquisition (new and used).
    • Lease returns, Aircraft painting, and Modifications.
  • Forecast and develop LONG RANGE projections of fleet maintenance operations associated with the Letter Check C and multiples, Intermediate Letter Check C, and Fall-Out Tasks having correlated CPCP, SSI or Zonal needs for compliance during a HMC.
  • Develop a long-range plan for scheduled engine removals for effective utilization of spare engines and APUs.
  • Develop a long-range plan for scheduled Landing Gear removals for effective utilization of spare landing Gear.
  • Coordinate planned landing gear and engine removals with maintenance providers and landing gear, engine and APU repair vendors.
  • Coordinate with appropriate departments to ensure the HMC aircraft are routed for scheduled HMC workload to the required HMC facility or contracted MRO.
  • Plan and schedule boroscopes, inspections, and other time-controlled engine events.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance BLOCK packages (Letter Check C) based on the availability of planned hours to ensure minimum aircraft downtime and a balanced workload.
  • Work with the Production Maintenance Managers and Supervisors to ensure adequate manpower and sufficient spares are in place to accomplish assigned HMC workloads.
  • Ensure that CATS is maintained and up-to-date based on recently accomplished work.
  • Schedule and maintain reports to communicate forecast of aircraft scheduled out of service (AOS).

Qualifications:

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development of schedule breakdown structures in accordance with the predefined requirements and works with the Lead Cost Engineer to ensure seamless integration of P6 and Ecosys coding structures.
  • Prepares drafts of network logic diagrams for segments or the entire project as applicable.
  • Performs forward and backward pass assessments during the preparation of the project schedule and provides critical path analysis highlighting pertinent start and finish dates of milestones and activities.
  • Reviews short-cycle schedule impacts and prepares CPM project schedule analysis.
  • Collects, validates, and integrates schedule and earned value progress information from vendors and contractors.
  • Performs detailed analysis on vendor and contractor schedules.
  • Prepares different tabular and graphical schedule timeline and resources reports from as required.
  • Assists in the integration of project changes in the schedule forecast.
  • Attends project meetings and participates by providing the applicable reports.
  • Facilitates meetings with key project team members, vendors, and contractors to address and update the project schedule status and forecast.
  • Collects vendors and subcontractor schedules and provides effective analysis and reporting of status, and impact to the critical path and overall integrated schedule.

Work location:

Ability to serve as a competent technical resource on Water and Wastewater System Planning matters including capital planning, source water safe yield analysis, demand/inflow projections, treatment adequacy, transmission and distribution adequacy, collection adequacy, inflow and infiltration, computerized hydraulic modeling and analysis, water conservation, regionalization, and other pertinent subjects as needed to support operational and business needs. Present results of engineering analysis to interested parties within and outside of the company, including expert testimony, presentations to Regulatory agencies and Senior Company Management. Contribute to effective communication by listening and providing constructive feedback; supporting the creation of an open and honest work environment; cascading and sharing knowledge and information relevant to other members of the team and colleagues across the business. Knowledge/Skills * Knowledge: o Demonstrated competency in asset planning, water system comprehensive master planning, distribution system hydraulic modeling or equivalent water system design experience. o Broad knowledge of Engineering (planning, design, construction) related to water facilities. o Working knowledge of regulatory developments, new technology and current trends in water quality, treatment, and Engineering economics. o Applicable knowledge of water resources industry, business, and environmental regulatory field. o Knowledge of Company Operations. * Skills: o Leadership ability and interpersonal skills, as well as solid verbal and written communication skills and keen listening abilities. o Detail oriented to conduct through analysis and evaluations, render and implement timely decisions and recommendations. _ Experience/Education _ * Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (Environmental or Civil preferred). * 4+ years’ experience in water resources engineering and/or planning. _ Travel Requirements _ * Up to 20% (generally local) _ Certifications & Licenses: _ * Professional Engineer (PE) required. _ Work Environment _ * Primarily office with occasional local / overnight work in the field.
