**Purpose:** The Technical Planning role is a key function in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, focused on developing and maintaining robust, standardized job instruction sheets (JIS) to guide manufacturing operations. This role ensures production processes are clearly defined, efficient, and aligned with quality, safety, and engineering standards. This position contributes not only to documentation excellence but also to process improvement and cross-functional alignment.
**Responsibility Statements:**
- Develop, validate, and implement detailed job instruction sheets (JIS) that enable consistent, high-quality manufacturing execution for new and existing products.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for work instruction methodologies, ensuring clarity, standardization, and alignment with engineering and quality specifications.
- Collaborate proactively with Manufacturing Engineers, Operators, Quality, and Design teams to collect input, resolve issues, and ensure JIS accuracy and relevance.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated work instructions that could impact production quality, schedule, or safety.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions related to instruction errors, process inefficiencies, or operator feedback.
- Own the resolution of escalated issues related to technical planning or documentation by coordinating cross-functional actions and driving to closure.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing production feedback and process data to identify opportunities for optimization in the instruction development cycle.
**Qualifications:**

Position Summary
The Senior Support Planning Manager (SPM) plays a critical role in ensuring that Global Technical Support (GTS) is fully prepared for all Bentley Infrastructure Cloud (BIC) releases. Acting as the operational counterpart to Global Technical Leads (GTLs), this role focuses on logistics, coordination, and enablement to drive support readiness across the organisation.
Operating within a dynamic and agile environment, the SPM leads end-to-end planning for support readiness, facilitates knowledge transfer from Development, and ensures Support Engineers are equipped with the tools, training, and insights needed to support new releases effectively. The role also involves prioritising bug fixes and product improvements, analysing support trends, and maintaining a strong feedback loop with Product Management and Development to address issues proactively.
The SPM is instrumental in bridging operational execution with strategic technical enablement, ensuring that support teams are aligned, informed, and empowered to deliver exceptional service throughout the lifecycle of BIC applications.
Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate comprehensive support readiness planning for cloud product releases, ensuring all milestones, deliverables, and timelines are met.

Collaborate across technical and product teams to guarantee timely delivery of training resources and documentation for new features

Collaborate with Global Technical Leads and Support Managers to identify skill gaps and ensure effective training and onboarding for L1/L2 teams.

Job Summary
This Network Planning Engineer will be focused on Commercial Business services and is responsible for
determining customer service solutions, order coordination, planning, budgeting, and project oversight of a geographical area. Communication and interdepartmental partnering will be crucial to be successful in
this role. This role could also take on broader wire center planning responsibilities based on the initial
skillsets of the candidate. The Planner uses various inputs to determine the optimal network plan based
on available capacity, architecture, funding, and anticipated growth. The Planner analyzes the existing
ziplyfiber.com network, identifies build targets, determines solutions, leverages business partners, and provides the strategic vision and approach.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyze network capacity to identify the most cost-effective, forward-looking customer solutions.
• Organize a business plan and approach for addressing the customer need while positioning for
additional customers or services.
• Drive the appropriate network solutions to support the Product portfolios as well as drive product
innovation based on technology capabilities.
• Oversee and develop project costing and support business case analysis.
• Manage and oversee multiple business partners supporting and implementing solutions.
• Partner with Sales, Engineering, Contractors, and Construction to determine appropriate
solutions for complex issues.
• Support overall tracking and database oversight.
• Guide program architecture solutions while balancing the customer experience, cost, scalability,
and reliability.
• Develop proposals and presentations to support the value of the proposed solutions.
• Provide quality internal and external customer service to support network advancement.
• Establish strategic relationships with customers, contractors, and property owners.
• Support Sales as needed to develop solutions and occasionally work directly with customers.
• Develop processes and automation to support LEAN process approaches to solve problems.
• Drive network and process advancement.
• Provide technical guidance and input on technologies for implementation and consideration.
• Performs other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience, or a minimum of
three (3) years' experience in an outside plant position.
• Must demonstrate an understanding of ROW, private easement and permitting with local, state,
and federal entities.
• Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of outside plant design, cable count layout, and
capacities.
• Must demonstrate an understanding of fiber products and services.
• Must demonstrate an understanding of construction methods and typical related costs for each
method.

• Must demonstration an understanding of Outside Plant (OSP) architectures consisting of
underground, direct buried, aerial, and building applications.

split, and inside wiring solutions.
• Desire database experience which could include creation, scripting, and programming (i.e.,
Microsoft SQL).
• Desire GIS experience with platforms such as ARC GIS and QGIS.
• Desire experiences navigating a CAD based drawing systems.
• Must be proficiency in common offices tools such as Excel, Work, PowerPoint.
• Desire experience with common analytics tools (i.e., Alteryx, PowerBI) .
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross functionally to achieve positive
outcomes.
• Desire experiences managing multiple projects concurrently.
• Must work well in a team environment driven by partnerships.

Company Background
Northwest Fiber (NWF) recently entered into an agreement to purchase Frontier Communication's
northwest operations (WA, OR, ID, and MT) - the transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2020. What this means is that we are about to become one of the largest internet providers in the Northwest region. The leadership team of this new company successfully built-up Wave Broadband which sold in 2018 for 2.4 billion dollars - so they know what it will take to make this new opportunity a success.
