Responsibilities/Expectations:
+ Performs moderately difficult assignments to ensure system integrity, support pipeline operations, maintain compliance and maintain facility equipment
+ Troubleshoots/resolves sophisticated problems using technical evaluation, innovation and judgment
+ Develops, presents and trains internal and external partners; may mentor others

A Vegetation Team Technical Support - Mechanic position is available at Schofield Barracks, HI with Colorado State University ( CSU ) and the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands ( CEMML ). This position is responsible for performing mechanical services and repairs to include inspecting, diagnosing, and servicing of light and heavy equipment at the installation. Work will include performing routine maintenance tasks (inspecting, greasing, cleaning, maintaining fluids, etc.) necessary to keep machinery, equipment, and tools in good working condition. Other duties include maintaining inventory of parts/supplies and ensuring a clean and organized workshop in accordance with the Environmental Compliance Inspection program. Work location is located on US Army Garrison Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii.
Schofield Barracks was established in 1908 to provide mobile defense of Pearl Harbor and the entire island. Located 20 miles from Honolulu on the plateau or "central valley" of Oahu between the two volcanic mountains that comprise the island, the nearly 18,000-acre installation is home to the U.S. Army Garrison, Hawaii.
Work location is dependent on the needs of the partner/project/role and requires staff to be fully in-person.

A Vegetation Team Technical Support - Work Crew Supervisor position is available at Schofield Barracks, HI with Colorado State University ( CSU ) and the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands ( CEMML ). This position serves as a field supervisor for vegetation management crews. The position conducts vegetation management activities in support of the Land Rehabilitation and Maintenance ( LRAM ) component of the Army's Integrated Training Area Management ( ITAM ) Program at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, by utilizing hand tools such as brush hogs, weed trimmers, shovels, root rakes, pick axes, brush axes, and chainsaws. Work location is located on US Army Garrison Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii.
Schofield Barracks was established in 1908 to provide mobile defense of Pearl Harbor and the entire island. Located 20 miles from Honolulu on the plateau or "central valley" of Oahu between the two volcanic mountains that comprise the island, the nearly 18,000-acre installation is home to the U.S. Army Garrison, Hawaii.
Work location is dependent on the needs of the partner/project/role. and requires staff to be fully in-person.
Required Job Qualifications
+ A High school Diploma, GED , or equivalent
+ At least 1 year of experience as a field work crew supervisor
+ At least 2 years of experience with running and maintaining:
+ Hand held power equipment (trimmers, tillers, chainsaws, etc.)
+ Manual tools (shovels, root rakes, pick axes, brush axes etc.)
+ Pickup trucks with and without trailers
+ Able to work outdoors and perform strenuous labor under all weather conditions (e.g., heat and humidity)
+ Able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly without assistance
+ Experience following directions, working cross-functionally, and maintaining safety standards.
+ Proficient verbal and written English communication skills
+ Must possess a valid drivers license by position start date.

A Vegetation Team Technical Support - Light Equipment Operator ( LEO ) and Commercial Driver position is available at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii with Colorado State University ( CSU ) and the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands ( CEMML ). This position is responsible for operating dump trucks and 2000+-gallon water trucks to haul materials and equipment in support of the Army's Integrated Training Area Management ( ITAM ) Program at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. This position will also operate light equipment to include, but not limited to: agricultural tractors, mowers, straw blowers, hydro-seeders, and skid-steers. Use of hand tools will be required to include, but not limited to: shovels, root rakes, pick axes, brush axes, and chainsaws.
