**Job Summary** :
Broadcom Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Systems Specialist with additional technical writing and editing experience to join our team. The position involves tracking and implementing change requests for internal systems that support our manufacturing division. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, initiative, technical aptitude, and problem solving. The candidate will be interacting with proprietary integrated software applications and various stakeholders to ensure the changes support the overall manufacturing process. This role involves manufacturing knowledge, including understanding process steps, quality standards, and the impact of changes. This position is a critical link between engineering, operations, and the Factory Automation Systems Team.
This is an in-office support position. It is not a remote position. This position is divided between the two roles: 50% in Manufacturing Systems Specialist, 50% in Technical Writing.
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Manufacturing System Specialist (50%):**
+ Ensures the accurate and efficient execution of manufacturing operations by managing and maintaining the production work instructions within the proprietary system. Create and revise production process workflows, perform document archival, and obsolescence.
+ Review and verify incoming permanent change orders for accuracy, approvals, and completeness. Complete and post permanent change implementation orders following standard operating procedures.
+ Verify dependencies of where production material is located, branches, lot overrides, part override, priorities, and safe locations to pause production.
+ Prioritize the order for implementing each aspect of a change request and coordinate with other Specialists as needed.
+ Systematically implement all workflow and work instructions changes with proprietary systems without disrupting production and with 100% accuracy.
+ Update tables in the factory system for current technologies required for smooth transactions on the factory floor.
+ Work closely with engineering to understand technology process workflow requirements.
+ Advise and educate others on shop floor control and change requirements.
+ Maintains positive interactions with peers, leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams.
+ Resolve issues with the proprietary system and provide support to users.
+ Coordinates with cross-functional teams and various technical level subject matter experts to ensure accurate shop floor control.
+ Adhere to and enforce all organizational requirements, external Standards and Regulations, and corporate confidentiality and information dissemination rules.
+ Maintain clear and accurate documentation of system configurations, integration processes, and troubleshooting guides.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned, including a backup support role for team members as assigned.
**Technical Writing/Editing (50%):**
The technical writer/editor performs as an individual contributor to create, plan, write, edit, and deliver technical documentation to meet end user requirements. Documentation work includes hardware and software documentation, engineering process knowledge, equipment and facilities installation procedures, equipment operating and maintenance procedures, and various levels of business process documentation associated with the Quality Management System. Assignments are complex in nature and require judgment, initiative, and knowledge to research and relay the technical aspects of processes, technologies, and equipment operation.
+ Champion documentation programs to develop, lead, and support technical writing.
+ Modify and prepare assigned documentation prior to publication, checking for readability, style, and alignment with ISO 9001 document control requirements.
+ Follow the established technical documentation process, including corporate policies and guidelines.
+ Advise others on industry standard writing styles and formatting protocols.
+ Participate in peer reviews. Able to give and accept constructive feedback from team members and peers.
+ Collaborate with subject matter experts for assigned project work. Conduct interviews with users and subject matter experts throughout the organization to gather data for revision of existing documentation.
+ Explain scientific and technical ideas in simple language; write clear and concise processes and procedures, ensuring usability for the identified audience.
+ Writing project work, which may include equipment operating and maintenance procedures, business process documentation, software documentation, engineering process documentation, and equipment and facilities installation procedures.
+ Provide the highest level of quality and follow-through for all work performed.

**Compensation and Benefits**
This annual base salary range for this position is $73,100 - $117,000.
This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with the relevant plan documents and equity in accordance with equity award agreements.

A Vegetation Team Technical Support - Commercial Applicator (Technical/Support II) position is available at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii with Colorado State University ( CSU ) and the Center for Environmental Management of Military Lands ( CEMML ). This position is responsible for applying pesticides and overseeing the purchase, and safe use and storage of pesticides in support of the Army's Integrated Training Area Management ( ITAM ) Program at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. The position documents all pesticide applications for official reporting purposes and ensures proper concentration calculations are used for purchasing/application of pesticides in support of aerial and ground spraying activities. The focus of this position is vegetation management for increased military safety and land sustainability. Reduced vegetation is crucial for limiting potential fires associated with military training. When not applying pesticides, this position will support other tasks as needed, such as operating light equipment or handheld equipment.
