The successful candidate will be part of the KBR team supporting the Test Resource Management Center's (TRMC) Big Data and Knowledge Management Team working on Big Data systems supporting DoD Test Ranges and various acquisition programs. We are seeking a highly experienced DoD Technical Writer with a strong understanding of DoD processes and documentation standards to join our dynamic distributed team. As a Technical Writer on our team, you will be instrumental in creating, editing and maintaining a wide range of technical documentation. Your ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise and user-friendly content will be crucial to the success of our mission. This role requires proven experience writing for DoD audiences and familiarity with DoD documentation standards. Only US citizens with active DoD Secret clearances and 5+ years of technical writing experience within a DoD environment will be considered. The successful candidate will have technical writing experience within the DoD community and should be prepared to provide writing & graphic layout samples alongside their resume. Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including how-to guides, presentations, system administration guides, installation guides, end user training materials, API documentation, wiki pages and technical reports.
+ Collaborate with a diverse team of software engineers, system architects, system administrators, data scientists, data engineers, data analysts, trainers and program managers to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
+ Review and edit documentation created by technical staff.

+ Support the public release process for documentation.
+ Work collaboratively with graphics designers to create and enhance graphics for documentation.

Work Environment:
+ Location: This position is mostly remote, but the individual must reside in an area near a military installation.
+ Travel Requirements: This position will require travel of 25% with potential surge to 50% to support end users located at various DoD ranges & labs located across the US (including Alaska and Hawaii).

Qualifications:
Required:
+ Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required.
+ 5+ years of technical writing experience within the DoD environment.
+ Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Desired:
+ 15+ years of technical writing experience with 5+ in DoD.
+ Experience with DoD Test and Evaluation.
+ Experience writing for a software intensive product team.
+ Knowledge of Big Data technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka).

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's working location, knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience, clearance level, contract affordability and in consideration of internal parity.

The JMETC user support team is in need of a Systems Engineer with a background in Digital Engineering to lead/supervise the TRMC Digital Engineering project in establishing a Digital Engineering environment for the Test and Evaluation community called Golden Forge. The applicant will work with a distributed team to develop the required environment and related artifacts for leveraging Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools. The role involves working with the government to provide technical direction, acting as a liaison between end users, application developers, and senior leadership within the DoD and across the Test and Training community. The applicant will be responsible for planning and coordinating technical support with military, civil service, and support contractor personnel for Test Resource Management Center Data Strategy. The applicant will monitor and support the pursuit of viable opportunities by supplying the resources and training necessary to assess, screen, and prioritize opportunities to optimize utilization of resources by assisting in defining requirements, developing specifications, and implementing timelines and milestones. The applicant is expected to optimize results for customers as well as the company by establishing goals and objectives for operations and making operational decisions. Maintains and manages all technical publications utilized in performance of aircraft maintenance and modification, including a central library as well as all distributed copies. Updates the publications (in either digital or hard copy format as applicable) as changes are received, and ensures the information contained in all technical publications is current, accurate, complete and formally documented. Works with the aircraft maintenance and engineering management team to collect all technical publication data and incorporate that written or digital data into the applicable publications, and distributes accountable technical data to all applicable technical libraries. Supports Quality audits ensuring continuous currency and accuracy of the central and all dispersed technical publications libraries. Essential Functions:

Our Consulting Engineers are an integral part of the Customer Experience (CX) team delivering Business Critical Services to our customers! We combine the power of Cisco Analytics and Knowledge with the outstanding technical expertise and consulting (that's you) to drive value, innovation, and adoption in our customer's network. We help them to reduce risk, drive innovation, and enhance their network to meet business objectives. We are the customer's trusted advisor and expert, helping the customer understand their network, reduce risks, and take advantage of the technology. We work closely with Cisco Engineering to advocate for innovation for our customer and as a liaison, share what is coming with our customers to help them be the groundbreakers of technology.
**Your Impact**
As a Consulting Engineer, you will help drive the effort to transform our current and future network architecture for our customers. You willwork directly with our customers and gain direct experience and exposure into their networks. You will collaborate on a variety of projects that have a real impact on the lives of Veterans and military service members. We will value your ideas and perspective on how to get things done. You will work on network infrastructures and help to deliver business solutions and technology solutions from data, security, mobility, and cloud.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Secret level clearance.
+ 10 years relevant experience in networking.
+ 10 years relevant experience supporting the United States government - Department of Defense.
+ Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or equivalent skills (Routing/Switching).
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Be experienced delivering Cisco standard methodologies within our customer's infrastructure.
+ Be able to demonstrate the ability to lead or guide teams made up of Cisco, Customer and Partner members in the analysis and resolution of sophisticated network problems
+ Ability to provide high-level crisis management through anticipation of issues, problems or events and actively resolving them with the Customer and Partners.
+ Leverage good communication, consulting and customer relationship skills to create productive collaborations.
+ Have the capacity to see and articulate a vision that inspires change!
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to solve technical problems.
+ Ability to multi-task and self-start in a fast-paced team environment and work independently.

Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday (for non-exempt employees), plus a day off for their birthday. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco's flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco's Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter. Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
