POSITION OVERVIEW
Technical Support is well organized, dynamic, customer-focused, proactive, strong team player, with multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of our complete line of products and services.
- Embrace and learn the Video Surveillance / CCTV technologies and their applications.
- Provide product demos and technical training to the sales team and customers.
- Test and evaluate surveillance cameras, DVR cards, stand-alone or PC-based DVR systems, and peripherals.
- Build and test PC-based DVR systems to customer's specifications.
- Provide prompt and effective customer service and technical support.
- Service customers in an effective and efficient manner; partner with internal teams proactively.
- Answer calls and emails regarding technical support requests and log into ticketing systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally in written responses to emails and oral responses to calls

Main responsibilities
- Respond to all customer contact or inquiries (including phone calls, voice-mail, e-mail, text, etc.) with professional courtesy on the same day as received. Provide telephone support to resolve installation and product performance issues.
- Determine whether a customer inquiry should be handled by the technical support group, customer service group per company guidelines, or if assistance is needed from engineering, installation or sales team. Refer calls accordingly. Keep customers updated of status of the issue.
- Follow up and track the progress of each call until it is resolved, even if the issue has been referred to another team member or department.
- Ensure that all required and pertinent information to investigate the issue is acquired from the customer during the initial contact.
- Thoroughly investigate each claim per established procedure to determine its validity is correct. Enlist assistance and expertise from other team members and/or departments as needed.
- Record all information regarding the customer and the issue in our CRM. This includes discussions with customer, attempted contacts of customer, all internal discussions regarding the issue, and final resolution.
- Follow company policy regarding the shipment of warranty replacement product to customers. Complete all documentation for customer orders, i.e. shipping method, correct address and appropriate freight amount.
- Minimum of one year's experience in an in-house automotive technical support service environment, including phone support. Or a combination of 1+ year's experience in an in-house service environment, plus Mechanical and technical knowledge of gasoline and/or diesel engines, including knowledge of automotive electrical circuitry.
- Solid work ethic. Ability to maintain concentration while on the phone for 6-8 hours per day.
- Possess outstanding diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Experience working with vehicle diagnostic trouble codes and how to diagnose them to correct an issue.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple calls and tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and adapt to new ideas/practices quickly.
Hourly pay
$24-$26 USD
Actual pay offered to candidates will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, relevant candidates' experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Ormco is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join our dynamic Global Marketing team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, technically accurate content that supports our global marketing and sales efforts for both our clear aligner and traditional wire & bracket product lines. You will have the exciting opportunity to showcase the impact of our solutions through compelling case studies, in-depth technical papers, and informative white papers that resonate with a diverse, international audience of orthodontic professionals.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Authoring Case Studies: Collaborate with internal teams and external clinicians globally to develop compelling case studies that highlight the clinical benefits and successful outcomes achieved with Ormco's clear aligner (Spark) and wire & bracket systems. This includes gathering data, conducting interviews, analyzing results, and presenting information in a clear and engaging manner.
+ Developing Technical Papers: Research, write, and edit in-depth technical papers on various aspects of our orthodontic solutions, including treatment protocols, biomechanics, material science, and technological advancements. Ensure accuracy, clarity, and scientific rigor in all technical documentation.
+ Creating White Papers: Produce persuasive and informative white papers that address key challenges and opportunities in the orthodontic field, positioning Ormco's products and expertise as valuable solutions. This may involve analyzing industry trends, synthesizing research, and articulating clear value propositions.
+ Global Perspective: Develop content with a global audience in mind, considering cultural nuances and ensuring information is relevant and accessible to orthodontic professionals worldwide.
+ Collaboration: Work closely with product marketing, clinical affairs, research and development, sales, and regulatory teams to gather information, ensure technical accuracy, and align content with overall marketing strategies.
+ Content Management: Organize and maintain a library of technical documentation, ensuring version control and easy access for relevant stakeholders.
+ Review and Editing: Proofread and edit all technical content for clarity, grammar, style, and consistency, adhering to brand guidelines.
+ Staying Current: Continuously update knowledge of orthodontic practices, industry trends, and Ormco's product portfolio.
This role can be based in either of the following locations:
Brea, CA, US /Prague, CZ /Madrid, ES /Zurich, CH /Amersfoort, NL.
Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's geographic location, professional background, and relevant experience.
**Job Requirements:**
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as technical writing, scientific communication, biology, biomedical engineering, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience may be considered.
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably within the medical device or healthcare industry. Experience in orthodontics is a significant plus.
+ Proven ability to research, analyze, and synthesize complex technical information into clear, concise, and engaging content for a professional audience.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in additional languages is an asset.
+ Strong understanding of scientific and clinical concepts related to orthodontics, including biomechanics, treatment planning, and different appliance systems (clear aligners and wire & brackets).
+ Experience working with subject matter experts and building strong collaborative relationships.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Familiarity with document management systems and content creation tools is a plus.
+ Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
+ A proactive and self-motivated approach with a strong sense of ownership.

**Responsibilities**
+ Collaborates with business stakeholders to define data requirements and translates business questions into analytical queries
+ Develops new processes with the goals of increasing productivity, reducing risk of system failure, promoting efficiency in workflow, and meeting or exceeding key operational performance targets

Additional Information
