We are Siemens Digital Industries - Motion Control Service Repair Center & IPC Assembly Center. Our Siemens repair experts analyze, repair, maintain and optimize Siemens products - drives, automation, industrial computers and PC-based (PCbA) hardware.
Our team of repair technicians ensure products are repaired in order to meet our delivery options - 24hr exchange process, 3-day express repair or 5-day standard repair for many products.
This position reports to the Production Manager of the Repair Department.
**We are looking for a Repair Center Technician. This position will be based in Lebanon, OH.**
**Role Description**
+ Implements activities within a repair operation to meet delivery, quality, and cost objectives.
+ Plans and executes repair of motor, drives and CNC controls by analyzing technical problems with the product.
+ Completes mechanical and/or electronic repairs and executes test procedures to ensure product functionality
+ Maintains technical documentation for repair processes and test equipment.
+ Fosters a work environment that supports a "Zero Harm Culture", implements company policy, and promotes active engagement of positive work practices to ensure high morale and safety amongst the team.
+ Develops a continuous improvement mindset mentality, to improve upon key performance metrics. This includes processes associated with repair costs, repair time and repair quality.
+ Interfaces with customer service and logistics departments to inform customer of any delays or difficulties associated with a repair that changes the customer original expectations of the repair.
+ Ensures products are cleaned and repaired to a "like new" condition. When a "like new" condition is not achievable, be the eyes of the customer to render options to supervision.

+ 3+ years of successful experience in Electronic Troubleshooting.
+ Proficient in soldering, testing, and troubleshooting electronic components.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Assist customers with equipment installations and provide on-site training as needed
+ Report feedback to the Service Manager/Engineering teams regarding product serviceability and ways to improve it
+ Offer occasional input and constructive feedback on new releases or updates to service manuals
+ Contribute to the creation and maintenance of training documentation for distributors and internal technicians
+ Manage travel expenses in line with ITW guidelines
+ Support service growth through identifying sales opportunities and recommending products or services to customers
+ Be a positive ambassador for Buehler in all customer interactions
**Qualifications:**
+ Associate's degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with 5-7 years of field-based experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of electronic instrumentation or similar equipment down to the component level
+ Proven commitment to workplace safety through consistent application of best practices and adherence to established safety standards
+ Strong diagnostic skills in both mechanical and electrical systems

Asset Management
+ Ensures proper vehicle maintenance guidelines and safe driving habits are followed.
+ Ensures proper use and maintenance of all company provided assets, including but not limited to phone, computer, parts, tools and uniforms.

**Position Purpose:**
Repair and Tool Technicians are responsible for the evaluation and repair of small engines, outdoor power equipment and handheld electrical devices. This position makes equipment recommendations and ensures that units are maintained. Technicians work in both our stores with Tool Rental Centers and in our repair centers. In a store, technicians will be expected to provide service to store customers in Tool Rental which includes writing customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs, checking to make sure tool is operating properly and demonstrating its proper use (as needed). In addition to supporting customer repair needs, they are also responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the tool rental department. In non-store locations, technicians will ensure units are repaired, tested for the quality of the repair and cleaned prior to returning to the store where the repair originated. Technicians must have a thorough knowledge of all tools and must effectively manage the tool inventory by maintaining the tools and repairing them as necessary.
