Position Summary:
The TMA System Administrator will be the administrator and primary contact for MU Campus TMA users, responsible for configuration/system modification of data fields and templates, support, and training for both Campus Facilities and other campus users. Must be responsive to all users' needs. Will liaise with System level team members, TMA, campus PeopleSoft programmers, and other vendor contracted staff. Responsible for report building and data extraction.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with work order setup; TMA maintenance; user maintenance; Configuration changes specific to MU; Assist fiscal staff and programmers with maintaining system interfaces; User technical support; Review monthly and quarterly product release notes; Ensure practices adhere to MU and System policies.

Develop, update, and maintain training manuals specific to MU processes; Provide in-person and virtual training to internal and external new users; Provide ongoing refresher training as needed; Conduct one-on-one training sessions as needed; Educate users on new functionality and product enhancements as appropriate.

Understand MU and industry specific reporting and data needs; Develop recurring and ad hoc reports; Maintain ongoing reports and ensure timely report delivery to MU and System fiscal and operations leadership.

Respond to each inquiry from internal users, co-workers, other campus users, and other interested parties in a timely, professional and respectful manner; Liaise regularly with users to ensure consistent System wide practices as appropriate; Develop relationships with other power users on other campuses including within System and other Universities to gather information for system improvement and best practices.

Shift

8-hour shift between the hours of 7:30 and 5 M-F

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated experience with computer systems, database management, spreadsheets, and other programs to manipulate data and create reports. Excellent knowledge of the facilities operations and maintenance industry including methodology, terminology, workflow/paper flow of maintenance.

Must possess and maintain a valid State of Missouri driver's license or valid out-of-state driver's license with the understanding a Missouri driver's license must be obtained within the first six months of employment.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $74,000 - $83,304 annually

Research Support Solutions "X-Team" within the Division of IT at the University of Missouri provides advanced technical support for research computing needs across the campus. Researcher systems are integrated into the campus environment and managed using industry best practices and technologies. Some of the technologies employed include Active Directory (AD), Puppet, Foreman, Ansible, Zabbix, VMWare, network and cloud file storage, configuration scripts (bash, tcsh, zsh, Python, PowerShell, among others), Veeam Backup and Replication, along with other enterprise-level and device-based tools.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

* Assisting faculty, staff, and students with resolving issues.

* Diagnosing and solving end-user problems using error messages, logs, documentation, collaboration, and vendor communication.

* Handling escalated issues: triage, remote resolution, and referral to other groups as needed.

* Coordinating with vendors for hardware, software, and research instrumentation procurement and installation.

Minimum Qualifications

* A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience is required.

* Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Linux systems in Academic, Enterprise, or Research environments.

The VA is responsible for providing comprehensive onsite and remote support to IT customers across all VA Administrations and special program offices, including direct support of over 340,000 VA employees and thousands of contractors who use government-furnished IT equipment and infrastructure. The VA provides support staff across 100+ CONUS and OCONUS locations including difficult-to-accommodate locales, such as high cost of living or under supported economic areas, where VA offices or facilities may be located and require onsite services.

A Customer Service Engineer is able to quickly respond to end user requests for assistance when existing manuals and scripted responses are not sufficient to meet user needs. Must be able to interact with customers and diagnose problems and lead customers through the necessary steps to correct their issues. Must have experience in conducting routine system administration tasks and logging data in system admin logs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Government with the installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of computer systems and equipment, ensuring optimal operation and user satisfaction.
  • Assist in delivering both remote and desk-side technical support, responding to IT support tickets, and performing diagnostic and repair activities on both hardware and software components.
  • Aid in setting up and maintaining user accounts, interfacing with other software applications, compiling reports, and responding to customer requests.
  • Assist in the maintenance of Active Directory and other system accounts, support connectivity and client applications, and assist in the configuration and support of local and wide area network services.
  • Monitor open tickets in VA's ServiceNow customer incident ticketing system to ensure adherence to business processes, and any discrepancies identified shall be reported with proposed corrective actions for approval before implementation.
  • The work environment involves both sedentary and active elements, requiring careful handling of electronic components and adherence to safety precautions to prevent injuries or equipment damage.
  • Utilize debugging protocols and processes.
  • Troubleshoot problems and issues identified by customers and implement corrective actions quickly.
  • Facilitate equipment returns, deployments, unboxing, inventorying, and verification.
  • Possessing the physical capability to handle demanding tasks such as lifting equipment up to 50 pounds and bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, climbing, and crawling to navigate through facility spaces to access and repair equipment.
  • Stand and move throughout the work area for prolonged periods.

Salary Range: $28.37/hr - $32.69/hr

Travel:
  • A Customer Service Engineer may be asked to provide additional support during temporary periods of increased workload, referred to as "surge capacity." These requests would be discussed and coordinated beforehand and could require travel of up to two (2) weeks.
  • Overtime is not authorized for any work to include this surge capacity.
  • For work related travel, employees will pay for expense out-of-pocket and submit an expense report in accordance with Kentro policy. Expense reimbursements are paid out weekly. Per diem for meals and lodging will be provided for overnight stays based on the GSA Per Diem Rates for that location.
Health Requirements:

This Kentro position provides on-site support for the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). The VHA has facility-specific vaccination and testing requirements (outlined below). CDM Smith is seeking an Operational Technology (OT) Networks and Automation Specialist who is a proven self-starter. The successful candidate is passionate about Process Control Systems, Industrial Networks and OT Cybersecurity with a desire to further enhance their skills and our Automation practice.
