The business activities within this portfolio include underwater vehicle systems, maritime sensors, supporting information technology and engineering services for complex maritime applications, and the development and support of underwater data acquisition and telemetry systems for distributed sensors used in platform signature measurement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based servers and systems (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).
- Manage system performance, monitoring, backups, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure system security by configuring firewalls, SSL, VPNs, and applying patches and updates.
- Collaborate with the engineering teams to configure environments and troubleshoot system-related issues.
- Monitor and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues in a timely manner.
- Perform routine system upgrades, patching, and security compliance checks.
- Administer and maintain virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, KVM).

Purpose:

  • Ensure systems are operational with minimal nuisance alarms.
  • Leverage knowledge and skills necessary to support and maintain Electronic Security Systems and associated networks
  • Support the installation, testing and maintenance of IT and Network equipment.
  • Support development, design, configuration/setup, test, maintenance and upgrade of the application hosting environment using virtualization application such as VMWare ESXI, Hyper V or other applicable virtualization platform.
  • Support the implementation configuration/setup, test, maintenance and upgrade of Host Base Security System (HBSS) solution to include derivation and configuration and implementation of the required security policies.
  • Provide recommendations for upgrade, tech refresh, reconfiguration, or changes when needed.
  • Perform regular auditing of logs within a VM, a host, storage system, or other components.
  • Support Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificates needed within the environment.
  • Upload artifacts such as Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), SCAP scans and STIG checklist files to eMASS and VRAM.
  • Apply all applicable Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)
  • Implement all applicable Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) requirements.
  • Support security scans of network infrastructures using the ACAS scanner or other required tools.
  • Fix vulnerabilities or security issues required to be remediated.
  • Support the authorization requirements of all related network infrastructures through the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
  • Implement the appropriate policies for HBSS.
  • Perform backups.
  • Monitor for drive failures and replace drives as needed.
  • Install, configure, maintain, upgrade and administer an environment monitoring system or systems, to include the environment monitoring system's database server application and log collector if applicable.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Lenel OnGuard certification
  • Must meet the latest Cybersecurity workforce certification/training for IAT Level II IAW DoD 8570.1M.
  • Must have a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as electrical engineering or computer science, or a graduate of military basic and advanced electronic or communication technician school (associate's degree or military technical school with additional years of experience can be substituted for bachelor's degree.

You have the following technical skills and qualifications:
