GENERAL PURPOSE: Responsible for the configuration, implementation and maintenance of various technologies managed by the Information Technology Department. This person will focus on the administration of the district server, network, virtual and storage infrastructure including server-based operating systems and applications. This person will assist the Desktop Support Technician in daily desktop and user support. This person will assess and identify appropriate solutions to be integrated into the District's various systems and make recommendations for implementation.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties ARE NOT intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed by all employees in this classification, only a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.
- Develops, maintains, manages and updates server hardware and software.
- Develops, maintain, manages and updates server virtualization infrastructure and storage area network.
- Develops, maintains, manages and updates procedures for all server and application backups.
- Creates virtual machines in support of integration and or expansion.
- Monitors, plans and coordinates the distribution of client/server software and service packs.
- Provides tier-2 support of computers and other systems to diagnose, identify, and resolve problems for more complex issues; documents identified incidents/problems and records the resolution.
- Preserves confidentiality of any sensitive information.
- Evaluates new technology, assesses compatibility with existing equipment and operating systems, and recommends purchase options and integration strategies.
- Provides excellent customer service by responding to the needs and inquiries of users; solving problems, explaining issues, deploying solutions, and following up with users to assure the functionality of the users' systems.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in the description and resolution of associated problems.
- Defines and maintain data sets and their standards
- Must be eligible to drive a district vehicle.
- Maintain system security policies and procedures.
- Maintain a detailed system administration log to document major changes and/or events.
- Participates and functions effectively in a team environment.
- Exhibits a positive and courteous relationship with District staff and general public.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field; and three (3) years server and database administration experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a strong knowledge of VMware or Hyper-V with experience in design, configuration and deployment.
Required Licenses or Certifications:
- Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License.
- Microsoft MCSE or MCSA Certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of employment.
- CompTIA N+ certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of employment.
- VMware, Cisco or other current equivalent professional certifications are preferred.
- Principles and practices of technology management, system development, and systems integration.
- Principles and practices of server administration, system access and security guidelines.
- Administration and maintenance principles of Windows-based software applications and relational databases.
- Computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment troubleshooting techniques.
- System backup and recovery procedures and techniques.
- Ability to develop and present training programs.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Ability to read technical journals, trade journals, general correspondence and District policy and procedures.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, staff and vendors.
- Ability to simultaneously perform a variety of technical and administrative functions and maintain a quality work product.
- Ability to work independently in the absence of supervision.
- Use initiative and independent judgment within established procedural guidelines.
- Ability to work on multiple projects.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of project management.
- Ability to quickly and effectively troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.

Job Summary:
The Event Services Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of floor operations, including set-up, removal and operations of technology equipment in a hotel environment with a focus on delivering unmatched customer service and providing overall positive experiences for our guest/client.Business hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Extended business hours and weekends will be required.
Essential Functions:
- Supervise non-union, union and contract labor to ensure all set up and strikes are completed according to Pinnacle Live's standards.
- Ensure AM and PM shifts receive clear communicationof daily expectations and all log information detailed and complete
- Greet guest/client before the event and provide clear instructions on how to operate equipment
- Provide continued communication with client to ensure success of all events.
- Follow through on all client requests and look for opportunities to enhance the client's event
- Ensures all inventory is in good working order and in rental condition
- Complies and enforces all Company security and safety measures
- Manage venue inventory and location of equipment to ensure inventory is secure from theft and/or damage
- Ensure any lost, stolen, or damaged equipment is immediately reported to the supervisor
- Continually work toward updating and improving technical skills
- Provide continued communication with the client to ensure the success of all events
- Maintain accurate client event information in the Company's billing/event order system
- Review invoice with the client and obtain client's signature on invoice and add-ons
- Ensure all Company occupied areas are clean, organized, and up to Company standards
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Two (2) to three (3) years prior experience in the audio-visual and/or hospitality industry.
- Two (2) years of advanced audio and visual experience in a theatrical or live event environment.

The qualified candidate will understand Master Data as a key element for reviewing/validating various data elements relevant to the entire order fulfillment process, using Client' ERP system or other tools to make necessary revisions. This position requires a hybrid of two skills areas: 50% high level problem-solving, data mining and analytical skills, while the other 50% will focus on daily hands-on operations and data maintenance.
