Technology Modernization - Strategy Manager
As a Technology Modernization Strategy Manager, you'll provide strategic technology advisory services to address business needs throughout client organizations for the Technology Modernization Practice - all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform detailed analysis to identify opportunities for improvement, documenting conclusions, and providing recommendations
Utilize and continuously learning new technologies to collaborate with team members and enhance service delivery
Engage directly with client executive leadership to lead the analysis, documentation and recommendations of technology strategies, business process improvements, technology platforms architectures, custom application design, strategic roadmaps, transformation business cases and other solutions as required.
Leverage various data collection techniques, selecting appropriate method and prioritization to fit project objectives and deliverables, and applying established analytical models to evaluate findings, data, costs and benefits.
Assist in strategic planning that integrates multiple functional disciplines including accounting, finance, sales, operations, and human capital management and information technology to support the client's business strategy and operational plans.
Assist in strategic road mapping and implementation services that effectively and efficiently meet business objectives and ensure a return on investment.
Develop recommendations that leverage artificial intelligence, strategic enterprise architecture, cloud / infrastructure modernization, IT operational improvements.
Assist practice leadership in creating proposals, budgets, and work plans. Participate in other business development activities as appropriate.
You have the following technical skills and qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, information technology, MIS or related field. A master's degree is a plus. MBA is preferred.
+ 5+ years of management consulting experience or equivalent required
+ Must be able to demonstrate creative problem-solving skills, critical thinking aptitude, and experience with data modeling and/or process mapping.
+ Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience working in cross-functional teams.

This Technology Underwriter will manage a Technology renewal book for the DC, Maryland, Virginia territory and oversee/manage technology department results. The position will primarily be focused on underwriting all lines, including E&O/Cyber, for Technology and Government Contractor opportunities.

The Technology Underwriter must develop book growth, maintain superior relationships and implement effective and profitable pricing rate strategies. Underwriting will include marketing and servicing accounts based on Chubb guidelines.

The position will be responsible for developing and implementing a business plan to grow the Technology book through prospect identification and pipeline development, new business production and account management in assigned branches.

The Technology Underwriter will have accountability for the financial performance of the Technology book of business, achieving growth for the branch, region and territory. They will identify opportunities for growth within new and existing production sources, identify cross sell opportunities, conduct agency planning/goal setting including monitoring of progress and make regular broker and insured visits.

This position reports directly to the Regional Technology Manager. This position will be based on experience in underwriting.

Qualifications

Skills Required:
  • Underwriter Candidate will have 5 years commercial multi-line underwriting experience, preferably in Technology placements
  • Strong sales and marketing skills are also critical.
  • Must be able to demonstrate success in marketing, producer/book management and new business development.
  • Must have the ability to successfully negotiate on all levels with both internal and external partners and nurture key producer relations.
  • The ideal candidate for the role will possess a high degree of proficiency with the underwriting process, risk analysis, and work effectively in collaboration with an Underwriting Associate.
  • Effective desk management is a critical part of this role.
  • Must have exemplary ability to effectively interact with all levels of customers and coworkers and exhibit strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with underwriting technical issues, compliance, coverage, products, pricing & strategies expected.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite as well as other business related software required.

This individual will provide technology support to the local office for areas including software, hardware, infrastructure, network services, mobile and remote services, audio visual, telephone, and security systems. Provides a high level of customer service, accurate reporting, and teamwork with other local technology professionals as well as the Firm's central resources in White Plains. Works under the direction of the Technology Support Manager. The hours of this position are Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to local helpline, support tickets and e-mail, assesses problems and offers assistance, logs all calls into the Firm's call logging systems and resolves or escalates as appropriate.
  • Provides application support for both local installations and Citrix-based applications.
  • Assembles, installs, configures, tests, images, troubleshoots and repairs hardware and peripherals, including but not exclusive to computers, printers, scanners, mobile phones and wifi devices, audio visual equipment and software, reprographic and cost recovery network interfaces, security network interfaces and other equipment and applications as required.
  • Provides assistance and advice on technology allowance purchases for attorneys.
  • Provides support, troubleshooting and repair for laptops and desktops.
  • Assists with remote site access.
  • Maintains data room components, data closets and troubleshoots networking issues in conjunction with the Technology Manager/Supervisor.
  • Supports all personnel adds, moves and changes.
  • Services, documents and provides loaner equipment in accordance with Firm policies.
