Job Summary:
As the Employment Counselor for the Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP), your primary purpose is to assist participants who are faced with severe barriers to employment to move into the workforce and gain family-sufficiency. This position maintains an active case load and develops employer relationships for the purpose of job placements. This position will interact closely with internal team members, community resources, training & education partners, and more. You will be responsible for ensuring that program goals and measurements are accomplished through case management. Participants who are enrolled in the program live in Hennepin County.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred - significant professional experience may substitute for formal education at the discretion of the hiring manager.
- Experience working with diverse populations in an employment counseling or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills - including internet, email, Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn program specific software/database applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal relation skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to multi-task and balance competing priorities.
- High level of detail, ability to recall significant amounts of information, strong organizational skills, and documentation skills.
- Able to maintain a friendly and firm disposition with clients who may be experiencing stress, frustration, or other difficulties.
- Able to be receptive to the nature of social work in the U.S. - including the concepts of boundaries, confidentiality, and empowerment.
- Must have access to reliable transportation.
- Knowledge of community resources.

Peas - mid-June through late July
Corn - late July through mid-October
Carrots - mid-October through mid-November
This timeframe is tentative and can be affected by the weather and crop availability. Seneca provides safe working conditions,paid overtime over 40 hours per week, 12-hour shifts (8-hour shifts for carrot pack), and on-the-job training.
The manufacturing plant typically runs 24 hours per day and 7 days per week, but shift start/end times may vary as well as the number of days worked per week due to weather and the crop that is available to harvest.

Job duties include:
* Fulfill various production line positions in our food production facility processing fresh vegetables.

* Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety policies/procedures.
* Maintain a clean and safe work area.

You will research and develop new service offerings to Opportunity Partners. Professional Development : Participate in professional human service conferences and industry groups to bring new practices and ideas that can be implemented at Opportunity Partners. + Will be able to train on different brands of CNC.
+ Knowledge of inspection equipment (mics, calipers, etc).
+ Technical Degree in Machining or equivalent work experience.
+ Demonstrated strong work ethic and the personality to get along with others.

The pay range for this position is $4080.00 - 83200.00/yr.
- Climate Controlled and super clean
- Guaranteed 3% company contribution to 401k (not a match. For example, if you put in 6% they put 3% and if you put 0% they put 3%)
- 2 weeks PTO right away plus the Minnesota sick pay on top of that
- Average tenure is 10+ years
