Position Responsibilities:
Testing Planning and Execution- Collaborate with Business Partners to ensure all standard test cases are included for each application, covering all processing steps and actions.
- Attend meetings with project leads and business units to identify testing needs for projects.
- Develop and maintain test scripts and plans to track business requirements.
- Execute test scripts and plans.
- Monitor, report, and assist in defect resolution across projects.
- Manage LTS Outage email/playbook with Projects and Support teams for impactful implementations.
- Assist in developing the Testing - Support Dashboard, including providing information and updating visuals.

Overview
NIWC Atlantic Software Services requires ISHPI to provide emerging Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Navy (DON) information technology, to design, develop, engineer, and maintain systems that will improve customer organizational efficiency. ISHPI provides support in the areas of Administrative Services, Applications Integration Management, Corporate Strategy Planning and Execution, Information Assurance (IA), Information Resource Management, and Information Technology (IT) Operations. Further task includes new standards engineering, prototype installation, application development, data interoperability, system design, system management and maintenance, data collection, analysis, and other management and implementation efforts in support of data translation, data mediation, and data mapping, test and evaluation.
Responsibilities- Test all software releases, including new features, enhancements, and fixes for bugs and defects.
- Design, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met.
- Develop, release, and maintain manual and automated test procedures.
- Work across teams and coding platforms such as Appian, Service Now, Archibus
- Perform and document exploratory testing results.
- Test STIGs for functionality on IT systems.
- Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies.
- Report status of test cases to project leads.
- Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios and deadlines.
- Support customer UAT events.
Qualifications
Education: BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related discipline. Education and Degree substitute: ABET accredited MS degree in stated fields will allow for 4 years of experience substitution and ABET accredited PhD in stated fields will allow for five (5) years of experience substitution.
Experience: Six (6) years of experience in Software testing, to include: designing, implementing, and conducting test and evaluation procedures. Automate software testing processes, and conduct software performance analysis. Conduct white-box testing, black-box testing, end-to-end testing, integration testing, and regression testing. QA documentation (test cases & scenarios, RTM) and bug documentation in ticket tracking system. Identify risks and constrains, contingency plans and test deliverables. Experience may be achieved simultaneously. Prior Navy related experience preferred.

A growing manufacturing company in Northwest Houston is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support ongoing production and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a full-time exempt role reporting directly to the VP of Quality, ideal for candidates with 2-4 years of quality engineering experience within an AS9100-certified environment.

Focus Includes:

Reviewing customer specifications, engineering drawings, and models to ensure accurate internal documentation and compliance

Supporting New Product Introduction by participating in internal and customer-facing meetings

Identifying and helping to resolve gaps in the quality system related to customer requirements

Performing and documenting First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9102, including drawing ballooning and compliance verification
-
Assisting in technical issue resolution, communicating with planning and sales as needed

Driving continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives

Supporting data analysis efforts and presenting results to upper management

Daily interaction with engineering, planning, quality, and sales teams to support production quality
Top consideration given to candidates with:

2+ years of experience in quality assurance within a regulated manufacturing environment

Experience working in an AS9100-certified Quality Management System

Proficiency with First Article Inspection software and techniques (drawing ballooning, AS9102 standards)

Strong communication skills, especially in cross-functional settings

Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
Preferred but not required:

Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and control charts

Background working with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers

Familiarity with Visual Basic or Excel macro programming

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification
