- Must be able to assist students entering and exiting the vehicle.
- Will be responsible to monitor and supervise the behavior of the student in the vehicle and report any incidents of behavior to the Program Director.

- Will help to maintain a clean school vehicle.

Job Description
This is an Operations position responsible for supervising the activities associated with Delivery. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, management and direction to delivery staff, compliance with government regulations and safety and security of the delivery department.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Supervises the daily work and safety of Delivery Associates, including adherence to standard operating procedures, adherence to planned routes, and providing safe and efficient customer service.
+ Ensures Delivery Associate compliance with local, state and federal regulatory agencies (i.e. DOT, OSHA, etc.) and ensures that electronic logs are kept current and accurate.
+ Manages labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
+ Prepares work schedules including extra work days and shifts as needed.
+ Oversees the proper selection utilization of company assets in support of the Delivery department.
+ Organizes required repairs with proper departments as necessary.
+ Reviews delivery functions and productivity reporting.
+ Suggests efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assists with implementation of delivery changes.
+ Interprets trains and consistently enforces Company policies, protocols and procedures including but not limited to food safety, DOT, record keeping, etc.
+ Communicates with Sales Management and Marketing Associates to collaboratively resolve any customer or delivery opportunities or issues.
+ Visits customer locations and meets with customers to address issues and assess delivery difficulty.
+ Preserves associate relations through regular department or pre-shift meetings.
+ Maintains on-going interaction.
+ Keeps open communication channels with associates by answering questions and explaining policies and procedures.
+ Monitors associate morale.
+ Submits and respond to ideas to improve associate engagement and enablement.
+ Interprets trains and consistently enforces company policies and procedures.
+ Coordinates efforts with the Safety department to aid in training, conducting associate observations, up-dating preferred work methods, conducting accident investigations to determine root causes and routine safety inspections.

Duties may include but are not limited to transportation, and/or logistics and backhaul functions.
Transportation:
+ Answer all incoming calls to resolve driver, sales representative and customer issues as needed. Communicate with drivers any updates to their routes.
+ Utilize software (MS Excel, Omnitracs, Tandem, Kronos, etc) to create, update, and communicate various reports and files for proper transportation functioning. Examples include attendance, DVIRs, backhaul spreadsheets, delivery window dispatch, driver key log, trailer temp log, transportation route update, network update, and other transportation metrics.
+ Assist in the damages and shorts process by notifying vendors and drivers to find a resolution. Complete associated paperwork involved in damages and shorts.
+ Other duties as assigned by manager.
Backhaul and Logistics:
+ Communicate key information to the proper recipient to support backhaul and transportation operations (including, but not limited to, the arrival of backhauls, daily dispatch information, backhaul scheduling/rescheduling, service updates to Omnitracs, abnormalities/delivery issues, etc).
+ Support in logistics operations by assisting in scheduling all pick up appointments for backhaul orders and vendors for the division. Complete related paperwork and communicate backhaul and logistic information when necessary.
+ Other duties as assigned by manager.
**WORK ENVIRONMENT**
+ The work will take place at a desk in a US Foods office-based environment but may occasionally require work in normal warehouse environments including cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
Related Experience/Requirements:
+ Minimum two years of experience in warehouse administrative or clerical position.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
+ Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
+ Excellent telephone and customer service ability.
+ Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
+ Basic computer skills with a good knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

What will your job look like?
The Manager, Transportation will have ultimate responsibility for delivering a high level of service to our vendors every day, ensuring high operational standards and vendor satisfaction within an assigned geographic area. The primary function of the Manager, Transportation is to provide oversight for Transportation Provider relationships and satisfaction, implementation, logistics network management, field monitoring, and financial analysis of transportation costs within the assigned region. Location: This is a hybrid role , requiring candidates to be onsite for at least two days per week (2275 Bridge St, Philadelphia, PA 19137, Bldg 208, STE 310). During the implementation phase, travel may be required up to 50% of the time within the State. Once the contract is established, travel expectations will decrease to approximately 20–35%. This position is contingent upon contract award
What you’ll do:
Manage and oversee all operational aspects of Logistics, within assigned region
Ensure local Logistics teams are evaluating performance of transportation providers and holding them accountable for a variety of metrics, including, but not limited to on time performance, cost and customer service satisfaction
Primary responsibility and focus, at the assigned regional level, for network costs, including but not limited to reviewing and containing average costs per trip, average costs per mile, and other costs related metrics to meet budgeted transportation expenses over managed territories
Drive cost containment initiatives through innovative recommendations
Provide support for organization
Direct Logistics Team in retention of and recruitment to the existing network to ensure that networks are comprehensive in geographic and mode coverage
Direct Logistics Team in field monitoring and issuing of performance improvement plans (PIP) for transportation providers’ subpar performance
Ensure transportation providers (TP) are educated and trained in accordance with MTM and contract specific requirements
Ensure TPs are compliant with all requirements, credentials and policies
Participate in planning, revisions, implementation and execution of updated amendments and/or regulations
Responsible for daily guidance, development and performance of all direct reports
Provide contract and MTM policy interpretation and assistance to local Logistic Team
Facilitate town halls, conventions and seminars
Regular attendance is required

What you’ll need:
Experience, Education & Certifications:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
College degree or four years of related work experience
2+ years of previous experience in management or in a proven leadership role

Responsible for planning, developing, administering, evaluating, and monitoring transportation plans, programs, and projects to streamline all aspects of the freight process from the distribution center (DC) to the branches. Focuses on reducing shipping times and costs, expediting routes, and maximizing loads for all types of freight transport.
Responsibilities and Duties
+ Reduces freight expenses by utilizing truck space in tandem with loop trucks to drive down less-than-truckload (LTL) and small freight costs while improving lead times. Manages inbound freight expenses from suppliers by back hauling vendor purchase orders.
+ Improves delivery services to customers by minimizing fleet expenses, increasing revenue per vehicle, reducing the distance traveled per vehicle, and lowering the amount of labor, fuel and toll expenses incurred by the business.
+ Develops and implements transportation plans to ensure all deliveries are made timely and according to service level agreements. Analyzes truck delivery tickets by considering, delivery address, inventory, time sensitivity, and offload requests to assign the tickets to the appropriate branches.
+ Manages order queue for routing based on customer orders. Reviews Department of Transportation (DOT) weight and hazmat requirements for each vehicle during the routing process.
+ Leads junior staff in transportation planning work and oversees investigations, inspections, studies, and surveys to gain further insight into the cause and resolution of a particular problem or issue.
+ Utilizes Delivery Management Systems (DMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to support delivery of a true command vehicle operation by uniting optimized route planning, dispatching, and GPS tracking, mobile applications, and fleet/drivers.
+ Mentors junior staff to expand their understanding of the technical and business aspects of transportation planning
Education/Experience
+ Minimum Training and Education Required Bachelor's Degree
+ Minimum Experience Required More Than 7 Years
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ 7+ years' experience in transportation planning and routing software - REQUIRED.
+ Experience with third party carriers, understanding of logistics, and back haul operations - REQUIRED.
+ 7+ years' experience with DOT regulations and driver safety programs - REQUIRED.
+ Experience leading and supervising junior staff and promote/support career development - REQUIRED.
+ Descartes Dispatch software experience - Preferred.
+ Experience analyzing and investigating to find solutions to complex problems.

Principal Responsibilities:
Primary Interface between Markets/Sales, Strategic Product Management, and Operations for ASU products:
- Primary day-to-day interface with account managers and regional Markets leadership on understanding changes in customer demand that will affect supply network configuration
- Provide product availability and costing analyses to Strategic Product Management for over DOA-based new business and investment case analyses and senior management for overall business management
- Executes ASU energy and diesel surcharge policy defined by Strategic Product Management and Markets based on major cost changes within the network
- Support Tonnage account managers on liquid back-up or supplemental concerns (volume availability and costing)
Tactical Supply Chain Planning and Optimization:
- Assigns plant production rates, operating modes and inventory targets in collaboration with Remote Operating Center engineers and Energy Procurement team to minimize overall product This includes day-of plant turndowns/shutdowns to meet power reduction obligations and minimize/avoid peak power costs.
- Responsible for coordinating with scheduling teams on inventory vs alternate sourcing needs to minimize impact to customers.
- Ensures all mid- and long-term purchase agreements are utilized based on lowest total incremental costs.
- Responsible for development, use and compliance to proprietary network optimization systems (TACT), including quality of inputs and adherence to outputs.
- Execute supply reviews with Supply field regions and develop operational plans for Sales and Operations Planning. Sets transport resource levels required to fulfil plan while minimizing assets and costs.
Operative Supply Chain Response:
- Responsible for ensuring sufficient inventory for all pipeline demand (gaseous) and internal plant uses through inventory planning via plant mode changes, liquid product transfers between storage tanks, liquid imports (as required) and/or coordinating deliveries from third parties.
- Plan, track and own the outage process for ASU. Includes developing plans, forecasting and tracking costs, and providing timely communication on the status of the network during planned and unplanned outages.
