**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Inspect and prepare transportation vehicles for daily operation requirements; perform pre- and post-trip inspection of vehicles; fill out required paperwork to report any damage or defects
+ Conduct pat-down searches; ensure that individuals are properly secured prior to leaving a facility and while in a vehicle; ensure that all paperwork is obtained and completely accurately and thoroughly when obtaining individuals at a facility and delivering them to their appropriate destinations

**QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):**

**JOB SUMMARY**
This position provides support to the transportation manager/director in supervising the activities related to delivery and backhauls. This includes, training and supervising transportation department associates, compliance with government regulations and promoting safety and security of the transportation department.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Supervises the daily work and safety of transportation associates, including adherence to standard operating procedures, Food Safety Standards and preferred work methods, adherence to planned routes, and providing safe and efficient customer service.
+ Ensures transportation associates' comply with local, state and federal regulatory agencies (i.e. DOT, OSHA, etc.) and ensures that electronic logs are kept current and accurate.
+ Oversees labor hours and consumable supplies within budget.
+ Prepares work schedules including extra work days and shifts as needed.
+ Assists with the training of new associates, including cross-training of existing associates.
+ Direct the proper selection and utilization of company assets in support of the delivery department.
+ Coordinates required repairs with proper departments as necessary.
+ Reviews delivery functions and productivity reporting; suggests efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assists with implementation of delivery changes.
+ Interprets, trains and consistently enforces company policies, protocols and procedures including but not limited to food safety, DOT, record keeping, etc.
+ Communicates with warehouse and customer service teams to collaboratively resolve any customer or delivery opportunities or issues.
+ Visits customer locations and meets with customers to address issues and assess delivery difficulty.
+ Maintains positive associate relations through regular department or pre-shift meetings;
+ Keeps open communication channels with associates by answering questions and explaining policies and procedures.
+ Monitors associate morale, along with submitting and responding to ideas to improve associate engagement and enablement.
+ Works with safety manager to aid in training, conducting associate observations, up-dating preferred work methods, conducting accident investigations to determine root causes and routine safety inspections.
+ Makes recommendations for corrective action and/or behavior modification where required.
+ Performs management functions of staff selection, development, discipline, performance reviews and/or terminations.
+ Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of the normal schedule as required to meet workload demands.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education**

Qualifications - External
The essentials
+ Four or more years of experience as a Heavy Transportation Driver.
+ Valid California Class A Driver's License with a clean abstract and the ability to drive interstate.
The preferred
+ Five years of flatbed and/or trailer experience.
+ Class A license that inclues these endorsements: Hazmats, Tankers, Doubles and Triples.
+ Knowledge of: Operation and maintenance of heavy truck and trailer equipment; Company policies and practices and Accident Prevention Rules for vehicle operation; traffic laws, permits and routes for trucking activities; trucker rigging methods and hand signals for material excavation and earth moving construction equipment for loading or unloading or work as qualified as Construction Equipment Operator IV; First Aid Procedures; and Safe Work Practices.
+ Ability to: Skillfully operate and maneuver truck and trailer equipment under a variety of traffic and terrain conditions; comply with traffic laws; follow authorized truck routes; make minor repairs and adjustments to trucking equipment; understand and follow oral and written instructions; perform heavy physical work; write legibly; give and interpret signals for operating material handling equipment; operate light construction equipment for on or off loading as required; and maintain a Class A Driver's License.

Position Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dependable Caregivers (Homemakers, HHA’s, CNA’s, Live-ins) and Transportation Staff to provide non-medical support and assistance to clients in their homes.
Caregivers help clients with daily living activities, offer companionship, and create a safe, comfortable environment that promotes independence and quality of life.

Transportation staff are responsible for safely driving clients to and from their homes — including trips to doctor appointments, grocery stores, hair appointments, and other essential errands.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment

• Perform light housekeeping (dusting, vacuuming, laundry, trash removal, changing linens)

• Assist with grocery shopping and errands as needed

• Plan and prepare simple meals while following food safety guidelines

• Accompany clients on walks or outings (for those independently mobile)

• Provide medication reminders to self-directed clients

• Monitor home safety and promptly report concerns or changes in client condition

• Follow infection control procedures and universal precautions

• Complete assigned tasks within scheduled timeframes and accurately document services provided
