Under general supervision, this position is responsible for the direct driver management and supervision of midsize driver count, ensuring safe and timely service movement of freight, load assignment, and providing best-in-class customer service. **Key Responsibilities:**
- Build and maintain positive professional relationships with drivers and safety to minimize turnover and maximize ongoing productivity
- Fill in for absent or unavailable personnel and on special projects related to optimizing fleet operations and achieving profitability
- Utilize personnel management including training and orientation of drivers and/or employees including the training and assistance with internal and third-party (customer) systems

- Work with drivers, customers, and company personnel to resolve service issues, routing and/or planning, mechanical problems, accessorial pay-related issues, etc. as they occur throughout the day and, where necessary, when on-call
- Maintain the Company's safety culture to include daily driver safety messages, monthly driver safety briefings, quarterly driver training, annual reviews, and enforce company policies to ensure DOT compliance and company safety requirements are being met
- Assign loads and plan, route, and monitor freight movement to provide safe, on-time service and meet customer requirements, including managing exceptions on that freight and driver ETA adjustments based on pick-up and delivery schedules, and other environmental factors on the road

**The Role**
This is an UNPAID internship through the Hire Vets Now (HVN) SkillBridge Program for transitioning active-duty US military personnel. HVN SkillBridge Internships are available to help transitioning active-duty military personnel gain real-world experience in the work force sometime during their final 180 days of active-duty service. Supply Chain description
Performs a variety of routine and/or low dollar value buying/purchasing tasks involving materials, supplies or services. Reviews purchase requisitions, and places orders with approved suppliers. May evaluate bids, select and/or recommend suppliers and negotiate price, delivery, quality and service. Follows up on all awards until completion of order. May assist in negotiations for major purchases by developing or compiling statistical information and gathering other data as required. The Demand Planner is responsible for creating and managing an 18-month rolling forecast using advanced statistical models, system tools, and cross-functional input. This role integrates insights from sales, marketing, finance, and the broader market to develop an unbiased, consensus-driven forecast. **Key Responsibilities**
+ Develop and maintain a statistically driven 18-month rolling forecast using demand planning software.
+ Facilitate a monthly forecasting cadence by gathering input from Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Business Leadership.
