The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for company compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) requirements. This role is responsible for monitoring driver logs, maintaining vehicle records, reviewing Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) reports, and supporting transportation safety initiatives and training.

- Work with drivers, customers, and company personnel to resolve service issues, routing and/or planning, mechanical problems, accessorial pay-related issues, etc. as they occur throughout the day and, where necessary, when on-call
- Maintain the Company's safety culture to include daily driver safety messages, monthly driver safety briefings, quarterly driver training, annual reviews, and enforce company policies to ensure DOT compliance and company safety requirements are being met
- Assign loads and plan, route, and monitor freight movement to provide safe, on-time service and meet customer requirements, including managing exceptions on that freight and driver ETA adjustments based on pick-up and delivery schedules, and other environmental factors on the road

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of Transportation Area Managers that are located within the individual sites in an effort to streamline logistics within each individual operation
- Responsible for the overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of your region
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures
- Accountability for meeting and exceeding operational goals
- Strategic planning and forecasting; appraise performance; reward and coach employees; resolve problems; address staffing needs
- Mentor, train and develop teammates for career progression and learning
- Ability to develop and share best practices across the shifts and network
- Travel up to 50% may be required

Mobile Medical Transport Driver Job Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified driver to transport mobile medical units for our esteemed clients in the New Port News VA area and surrounding regions.

The ideal candidate will have a clean MVR, 5 years of tractor-trailer driving experience, and a professional appearance with excellent customer service skills.

  • Responsibilities:
    • Pickup and delivery of mobile medical trailers to hospital/clinic locations throughout the area.
    • Prepare each unit for transport, safely transport it to delivery locations, and set up the unit for the next day's use.

Benefits:

  • Salary starts at $1125 per week (reviewed for increase after 90 days).
  • Quarterly bonus.
  • Rider policy after probationary period as determined by management.
  • Health/Vision/Dental/401K/Life benefit package available after 30-day intro period.
  • PTO benefit of 10 days after probationary period and 15 days after 5 years.
  • 4 sick days per calendar year.
