This position performs professional work to assist the Transportation Department in transportation planning, traffic engineering/operations and other related work. Work involves performance of moderately difficult professional and technical work in transportation planning and traffic engineering and operations. In addition, work entails the evaluation, selection, and application of transportation engineering techniques, standards, and procedures; and design of less complex transportation projects. The incumbent will use sound professional and independent judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications to professional techniques and principles to recurring problems, in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Supervision is received from a higher level administrator, who reviews work through consultation and analysis of reports prepared. This job is not of a routine, clerical or ministerial nature and may require attendance at evening meetings including presentations to City Boards, neighborhood groups and other agencies as necessary.

- The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Preparing and presenting project outlines, briefs, progress reports, and PowerPoint presentations.

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Planning and Urban Studies, Geographic Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited college or university program and considerable (2 - 4 years) professional engineering or planning experience. Master's degree in an aforementioned or related field is preferred and can substitute for experience on a year-to-year basis. Possession of the Engineer-In-Training Certificate is desired.

Responsible for managing all RDC yard activities and the personnel involved in those activities, maintaining accurate records, and assisting in resolving system or operational issues which may affect inbound or outbound performance.

+ Assist in resolving any system issues which may arise in daily load processing.
+ Monitor carrier and system status messages and mitigate any expected inbound and/or outbound delivery impacts.

+ Oversee, hire, train, develop, evaluate and maintain discipline of Transportation Supervisors, Transportation Leads, and TOAs.
+ Coordinate personnel coverage to insure required transportation functions are completed, and provide adequate support to TOA positions and yard activities.
+ Manage yard service (yard jockey) operations to maintain adequate service levels to support RDC warehouse operations.
+ Oversee yard processes to insure accuracy of trailer locations, temperature settings, refrigerated trailer performance, and safety for all associates and contractors involved in yard operations.
+ Have knowledge of and effectively administer all company policies and procedures, including training, disciplining and termination of associates.
+ Maintain accurate filing system.
+ Back up the TOAs, Transportation Leads, and Transportation Supervisors in their absence in all of their duties and responsibilities.

Direct and coordinate the dedicated delivery operations at the distribution center, including direct supervision of the delivery drivers, route management, DOT and Hazardous Material compliance, and fleet maintenance.
**Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities**
+ Leads, directs and trains the delivery driver team.
+ Ensures compliance with all safety, hazmat and DOT requirements.

**Responsibilities**
+ The Lieutenant will provide supervision, guidance and on-the-job training to improve Detention Officer Skills, reinforcing the critical nature of the Detention Officer's responsibilities.
+ Responsible for assuring consistent delivery of service regardless of shift or location, for taking immediate action to correct problems detected and for responding whenever called upon.
+ Maintain full staffing by filling any open posts with reserve or stand-by personnel and managing "call-offs" due to illness or other reasons.
+ Brief Detention Officers during muster and post checks regarding any changes in Post Orders, or any unusual or emergency situations.
+ Conduct on-the-job training to correct deficiencies in Detention Officer Performance, or to strengthen and refresh Detention Officer knowledge of critical skills and issues.
+ Report any emergency situation to the COTR and Akal Security management.
+ Conduct administrative investigations of criminal and non-criminal incidents to include personal injury and traffic accidents.
+ Document incidents with complete and accurate verbal and written reports.
+ Review the sign-in/out sheets to ensure proper timekeeping by Detention Officers.
+ Manage break schedules and ensuring that all Detention Officers receive breaks and proper relief.
+ Provide oversight and management and direct reporting of detainee counts.
+ Assist detention officer's deal with any incident of disturbance or lack of cooperation from a detainee.
+ Inspect every area of the facility where detainees are present, at least once per shift.
+ Assume duties of Captain in Captain's absence.
**Operations:**
+ Responsible for the operational functions and duties required in operating a detention center; including detention, processing, administration and transportation operations as required in the contract.
+ Provide effective leadership and supervision of all subordinate personnel.
+ Schedule adequate staffing for all assigned posts and assure that minimum manning standards are maintained.
+ Ensure duties are accomplished as directed in the contract. Perform other duties as assigned.
**Reporting:**
+ Furnish a manifest of all detainees under Supervisory Detention Officer's jurisdiction and insure the safe and effective control of all detainees in the facility, 24 hours a day.
+ Provides other written and oral reports as required or needed.
**Leadership/ Supervision:**
+ Inspire and motivate employees to perform duties to ensure contract compliance.
+ Ensure Detention Officers are trained on the expectations and requirements of their duties.
+ Provide timely and ongoing feedback on employee job performance.
+ Motivate and provide recognition to exemplary employees.
+ Discipline detention officers who are negligent or disregard standard operating procedures, policies, standards, regulations and/or contractual requirements.
+ Participate in interviewing candidates for detention officer positions.
**Quality Assurance:**
+ Enforce American Correctional Association (ACA) and ICE National Detention Standards, policies, procedures and orders related to the custody, care and treatment of detainees.
+ Conduct daily quality assurance inspections of their areas of responsibility, including detention facilities, grounds, posts, equipment, uniforms and knowledge of post orders, ACA and ICE National Detention Standards and current policies, procedures and regulations of all subordinate contract personnel.
+ Document findings of the inspections on approved forms and checklists by the end of the shift.
+ Correct discrepancies on-the-spot as appropriate.
+ Responsible for the effective and efficient control, operation and security of the detention facility.
**Qualifications**
+ US citizen or a person lawfully admitted into the United States for permanent residence and have resided in the U.S. for the last five years.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
+ Pass a criminal background and consumer credit check (no criminal record).
+ Obtain and maintain a DHS/ICE government clearance.
+ Pass all pre-employment and random drug tests.
+ Pass a medical examination and meet health requirements.
+ At least 21 years of age.
+ Possess a valid state driver's license.
+ The incumbent must be trustworthy.
+ The incumbent must have a minimum of one year of experience as a detention officer and two years of successful experience in field supervision (civilian law enforcement, commercial or industrial guard service, or security service supervisory position).
+ Ability to maintain poise and self-control during situations that involve mental stress, such as fires, explosions, disturbances and building evacuations.
+ Maintain a professional personal appearance and calm demeanor.

**SUMMARY:**
The Transportation Account Executive guides our clients through the entire quoting and binding process by obtaining all documentation needed. Account Executives are responsible for servicing new clients and managing and retaining existing clients while also maintaining valued relationships with our insurance carriers.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Collects all documentation needed from client for quoting and binding an asset.
+ Presents assets to several markets, comparing quotes to then present the best options to our clients.
+ Responsible for putting all documentation together and sending the bind order to underwriting.
+ Follows up to ensure the policy has been bound and no further action is needed.
+ Responsible for renewals and taking renewals out to market.
+ Prepares client renewals and new business strategies, including proposals and presentations.
+ Cross sells clients on other coverages that may be beneficial.
+ Provides client support with all levels of client's decision-makers as well as the day-to-day technical client representatives.
