The Usability Manager shall perform the following:
+ Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including executives, project sponsors, and team members. Should be able to articulate program objectives, progress, and risks in a clear and concise manner.
+ Perform as the technical expert with thorough understanding of the business application of an assigned project.
+ Perform as a project lead with the responsibility for the instruction, assigning, direction, and monitoring of the performance of assigned Mobile developers working on a specific project.
+ Assist in the scheduling and coordinating of projects, including in the design phase of a project.
+ Work with customers and technical staff in the resolution of software problems and respond to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements.
+ Participate in the development of software user manuals.
**Requirements**
+ 7-10 years of experience as a Usability Manager, and have a full understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
+ Bachelor's degree and/or equivalency.
+ Hold a current professional UX Certification
+ **Must be a US Citizen** with ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust. Must successfully complete a government issued background investigation.
+ Proficient in usability research methods such as user testing, surveys, card sorting, and heuristic evaluation.
+ Have a deep understanding of the usability principles and best practices, and be able to apply this knowledge to improve the usability of digital products.

The Expanse Data Usability Analyst partners with business and product owners, subject matter experts in clinical domains, and technical teams to define requirements, develop data models, and participate in terminology normalization. Summary
The Sr. Product Usability Engineer will work with cross-functional project teams to drive user-centered design by applying human factors and usability expertise and principles for new product commercialization across Hollister's Ostomy and Continence Care Portfolios. This role will provide consultation to project teams on appropriate Human Factors and Usability Engineering strategy for the product(s) in scope, planning appropriate activities to be performed, and required deliverables and ensuring that the activities and deliverables meet the requirement from both the internal quality and the regulatory perspectives.

Responsibilities
- Provide Human Factors and Usability Engineering expertise across the Ostomy and Continence Care product ranges including identifying, planning, monitoring, and executing product development activities for projects to ensure best-in-class user experiences and satisfy regulatory requirements.
- Promote user-centered design and the use of Human Factors and Usability Engineering process.
- Collaborate with new product commercialization teams to develop usability and user need requirements, leveraging appropriate research methodologies, analyses, and deliverables.
- Use appropriate Human Factors and Usability Engineering techniques to understand end user behavior, preferences, and use cases and integrate them into design requirements and concepts.

Requirements
- Number of Overall Years Necessary: 5-8
- BS, MS, or PhD in Engineering (Human Factors, Biomedical, Industrial), Psychology (Cognitive or Experimental), or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience performing Human Factors and Usability Engineering in medical device design and development, with demonstrated ability to tailor industry standards and guidance appropriately.
- Understand Human Factors and Usability, ergonomics, and data collection and analysis principles in the user-centered design of medical devices.
- BS, MS, or PhD in Engineering (Human Factors, Biomedical, Industrial), Psychology (Cognitive or Experimental), or equivalent.
Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge

This multi-faceted role will include establishing and maintaining a cohesive design system that enhances usability, accessibility, and visual consistency across the organization.
**Responsibilities**
+ Design intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing user interfaces for mobile and web applications.
+ Collaboratively grow, mature, and maintain the centralized UI design system and component library to ensure consistency across all products.
+ Collaborate with UX designers, developers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate user needs and business requirements into elegant design solutions.
+ Define and enforce UI standards, best practices, and accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG AA, Section 508 compliance).
+ Conduct design reviews and provide guidance to ensure adherence to established UI principles.
+ Stay current with design trends, tools, and technologies to continuously improve the user-facing designs.
+ Create mockups and high-fidelity visual designs using tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator.
+ Advocate for user-centered design and contribute to a culture of design excellence throughout the organization.
+ Become an active member of the organization's UI/UX Community of Practice.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree preferred in graphic design, Human-Computer Interaction, Web Design.
+ 5+ years of experience in UI design for mobile and web applications.
+ Present a strong portfolio showcasing modern, responsive, and accessible UI designs.
+ Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other Adobe Creative Suite applications.
+ Experience designing Mobile and Progressive Web Applications.
+ Background check with the ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust Clearance.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
+ Ability to iterate designs and solutions quickly, efficiently, and intelligently.
+ Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and front-end development principles.
+ Experience in creating and managing design systems and style guides.
+ Excellent writing, communication, and collaboration skills.
+ Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
+ Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
+ Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
+ Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting, as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
+ Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, and previous customer service experience strongly desired.
+ Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it
