Job Description
AWS Order-to-Cash (O2C) supports global customers by helping them understand our order-to-cash cycle, and ensuring their experience with AWS meets their business needs. We help with complex account and billing related inquiries, and interface with AWS teams to provide the perspective of the Voice of the Customer.
As an AWS O2C Manager, you will support the government and nonprofit communities' customers to identify and resolve billing issues, Collect on past due balances, post cash and report on your team's performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
A successful individual will be very self-motivated-someone who can recognize how processes can improve and effectively implement positive changes. The candidate must also be able to build strong cross-group working relationships and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
Understanding the AWS billing processes to provide guidance to customers, identifying defects and driving resolutions upstream of AR
- Managing a portfolio of customer receivables and working to maximize AWS cash flow by solving customer payment issues
- Preparing insightful and actionable reports for the receivables management team
- Full cycle of accounts receivable past due balances, including: research, analysis and reconciliation
- Managing and resolving invoice discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate receivables.
- Managing internal and external Accounts receivable inquiries.
- Maintaining customer relationships by responding timely and accurately to both internal (company) and external (vendor directly) questions and requests for information.
- Directly interacting with a wide variety of public sector accounts and building strong relationships and understanding the procure-to-pay cycles of our customers.
- Understanding the AWS billing processes to provide guidance to customers, identifying defects and driving resolutions upstream of AR.
- Developing policies, procedures and processes with internal support teams, then implementing and enforcing globally (continuous improvement cycle).
In addition, your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:
- Performing deep dive analysis for AWS customer contacts to gather lessons learned, and then uses that information to create or improve policies, procedures, and best practice reference materials.
- Working with customer support peers around the globe to ensure a consistent and high-quality level of support.
- Acting as the Voice of the Customer for our AWS top tier customers and Sales Teams, reporting and acting on observed areas for improvement.
- Actively seeking solutions to customer and sales needs, communicating trends to leadership, and suggesting innovative solutions on behalf of the customer experience.
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and satisfy other security related requirements.

Key job responsibilities
- Audit and monitor comprehensive programs to drive food safety execution for maximum proficiency and effectiveness
- Maintain a robust set of compliance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure output performance, track progress, and identify areas for improvement in food safety programs

A day in the life
Your day begins with a review of overnight incident reports and alerts while monitoring real-time KPI dashboards. During your morning coffee, you join the daily food safety status call, where you brief the team on current investigations and emerging concerns. By mid-morning, you're deep into responding to emails from various site managers, providing guidance on their food safety questions and documenting corrective actions in the tracking system.
The afternoon might find you leading a cross-functional team meeting to analyze a recent quality incident, or conducting a site audit with one of your facilities. You'll spend time reviewing and updating food safety protocols, preparing reports for tomorrow's leadership review, and training site teams on new procedures via video conference.
However, your day can quickly pivot if a critical food safety incident arises. In these situations, you'll immediately switch gears to coordinate containment actions, lead emergency response meetings, and manage communications with key stakeholders. Whether you're on-site conducting physical audits, in the office analyzing data, or responding to urgent situations, no two days are exactly alike. Monitor Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) support/evaluation programs and inspection/audit procedures to ensure compliance of products and processes to corporate and regulatory requirements at a Sysco Specialty Meat and/or Seafood Company.

+ Monitoring of FSQA programs including HACCP Program, sanitation standard operating procedures, pest control, good manufacturing practices, approved supplier program, foreign material control, plant sanitation, chemical control, product quality assurance, FSQA Customer complaints, food defense and security
+ Assist in Employee Training of FSQA Programs, Policies, and Procedures
+ Assist in Implementation of Independent FSQA Audit Program - SQF Audits

Position Overview: The Director, Regulatory & Technical Affairs, is responsible for executing against regulatory strategy on issues impacting the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, with a focus on nutrition policy and food safety. The Director will manage complex workflows, frame narrative, and serve as a trusted communicator and expert, both internally and externally with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), on food and beverage issues. Reporting to the Vice President, Regulatory & Technical Affairs, the role will manage the execution of and proactively shape and influence emerging regulatory policy issues, concerns, and opportunities that help to advance the CPG industry’s agenda while meeting the expectations of the American consumer.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
Regulatory Policy
- Work collaboratively to monitor the regulatory landscape on food and beverage issues, both with members of the organization and U.S. regulatory agencies.
- Proactively identify regulatory affairs issues and opportunities for the CPG industry.
- Proactively cultivate, establish and maintain relationships with members, specific U.S. regulatory agencies, the research community, trade associations, and NGOs.
- Represent Consumer Brands in regulatory meetings and industry events.
Issues Management
- Manage projects on issues related to nutrition, labeling and food safety.
- Provide expertise, assistance and representation on technical and regulatory issues throughout the organization.
- Participate in and, as appropriate, lead discussions and consensus building activities with member companies and stakeholders.
- Analyze proposed regulations, guidance, and other emerging issues as needed.
- Lead the creation of stakeholder comments, talking points and slide decks on issues.
Requirements
Experience & Education:
- A minimum of a BA/BS degree is required. An advanced degree such as an MS preferred. A degree in nutrition or food safety is a plus.
- 8+ years of related employment experience in a relevant industry, trade association or government agency on matters involving nutrition, labeling and/or food safety.
- 5-7 years of experience with FDA is a plus.
- A track record of demonstrated results in government, association and/or political environments.
Skills:
- Familiarity with the relevant HHS/FDA laws and regulations including the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) and relevant regulations, policies and guidance documents.
- Understanding of multilateral organizations on food safety, such as Codex Alimentarius, World Health Organization and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
- Passion for learning issues and driving results.
- Public speaking skills and the presence to represent the association and its position(s) to external stakeholders.
