+ Reads blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, measuring instruments, and operational instructions to provide support for testing activities.
+ Evaluates laboratory support activity results and may review data for conformance with specifications.
+ Operates designated laboratory equipment and tools as directed.
+ Responds to user requests to repair and/or modify existing laboratory instrumentation, automated systems and test fixtures.
+ As applicable, records observed or calculated data on appropriate UL forms as the record of laboratory support activities.

+ Assists in developing annual budgetary goals, capital expenditure budget for laboratory equipment, and tactical plans for the assigned laboratory section.
+ Operates a computer to extract/input readily available information and to use available software.
+ Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
+ Designs and builds test fixtures.

+ 2 years of formal education with Associate Degree or certification as a technician through acknowledged organization.

Pay Transparency Verbiage :
Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimated salary range for this position is $51,600 to $68,700 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).

Evaluates the effectiveness of the orientation program.
11. Collaborates with the section supervisor in coordinating the educational opportunities offered through the department, provides continuing education both directly as an instructor and indirectly by using educators other than his/herself, provides education on all shifts, and evaluates the effectiveness of the education program.

Click for a complete list of Employee Benefits Position Summary UI Health is seeking Radiologic Technologist's to join our Diagnostic Service department. There are multiple openings for both part-time and full time. Work schedules include Days, Evenings, Nights, Rotating Weekends. Employees in this position at this level operate and maintain radiographic equipment and supplies under the direction of a physician to perform procedures involving the acquisition and processing of diagnostic radiographic images. These images are interpreted by medical officers to locate injuries, foreign bodies, pathological conditions, or lesions within the body. A(n) Radiologic Technologist assists with the preparation of the patient(s) and a sterile procedure environment, as appropriate. They also monitor patient safety and comfort and navigate and maintain patient records. They work under direct supervision of higher-level personnel. Duties & Responsibilities: Obtains medical history pertinent to the exam being performed within the guidelines set forth by HIPPA. Interprets physicians' orders; screens patient(s) prior to a procedure Positions and transfers patient(s) on/off the radiographic table while utilizing proper body mechanics; provides immobilization devices or stabilizers to obtain optimum results, as necessary; Assists with patient and procedure room preparation; positions and adjusts equipment according to the specifications of the procedure; performs equipment safety checks prior to testing; Explains components of procedures to patient(s); observes and monitors patient(s) throughout procedure(s); advises the physician of any abnormal indicators; Performs procedures on patient(s) to produce optimal diagnostic images, under supervision; maintains sterile field during procedures, as appropriate; Determines the best method of obtaining optimal diagnostic images; selects and modifies technical factors and adjusts technique, as necessary; uses protective devices and techniques to minimize radiation exposure; Administers contrast media and/or medications, under supervision; Assists with post-procedure clean-up; maintains and cleans all equipment; Reviews, labels, formats, and processes diagnostic images after capturing; ensures diagnostic images meet established standards; Utilizes health information systems to navigate patient records; inputs, retrieves, and maintains information in patient records; verifies accurate completion of patient records following procedures; utilizes procedure and supply codes and charges; Adheres to all government, industry, or institutional regulatory guidelines; Operates all radiographic equipment including mobile units. Mobile units may be used at bedside, ER and OR. Demonstrates technical factors based on each patient's body habitus. All technical factors must utilize lowest radiation dose possible. Maintains cleanliness and order in the department following the guidelines of JCAHO, IDPH and Infection Control. Reports all equipment malfunctions to supervisor. Places call for repair when necessary. Assists with training of Radiology Technology students. Calls and assists with a medical code when necessary. Participates in emergency drills and responds to disaster requests. Inputs and retrieves information from designated computer systems. Performs diagnostic exams utilizing CR and DR imaging Completes all required in-services and training Provides On-Call coverage as needed. Attends and participates in staff meetings; maintains continuing education requirements; documents completion of all training and in-services; Performs administrative support duties such as answering phones, assisting with inventory and records management, scanning documents, and stocking examination rooms; Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Required: Current/valid registration and certification in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Current/valid accreditation as a Radiologic Technologist by the State of Illinois (IEMA). Current/Valid American Heart Association BLS CPR certification.
