4 month contract
_Hours: 1st shift: 10 hours day 4 days a week 5 am - 3:30 pm_
**Pay Range:** Up to $35 p/h on W-2 depending upon experience

**What's Needed?**

+ Trained and certified to repair six block styles, with completed OJT forms.
+ At least one year of experience in Block Repair or Technical Services Repair department.

Job Summary:
The Electro-Mechanical Technician will be responsible for the repair of various SFI components. The day to day could cover a variety of assembly types that include Stall Warning systems, Auto Throttle Systems and Secondary Flight Control transmission systems, this role will be expected to participate in system troubleshooting and diagnostics. They will often interact with Quality Test technicians and Engineering to resolve technical issues. In this role the technician will need to comprehend assembly documentation comprising of Blueprints, General safely and properly utilize required tooling, operate material handling equipment, record system information, adhere to company policies, and interact positively with other team members. Some finished systems could be large and require someone who can physically maneuver around the product. The ideal candidate will be a positive, energetic, self-motivating individual who is ready to learn and contribute to the mission.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot technical issues with varying levels of complexity.
- Have a working knowledge of Mechanical & electrical theory.
- Read and interpret work instructions, drawings, schematics, and other production related documentation. Blueprint interpretation is beneficial.
- Solder, and assembly skill.
- Utilize a combination of basic hand tools and power tools.
- Utilize measuring tools such as multi-meters, continuity checker, Oscilloscopes, etc.
- Provide assembly feedback and suggested changes or improvements.
- Complete build records and documentation as required.
- Conducts quality checks on own work and may execute buddy checks on others work.
- Maintain workspace cleanliness and organizational skills.
- Follow SFI guidelines and procedures.
- Adhere to company regulatory and compliance policies.
- Participate in cross-training activities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Read and comprehend complex manuals and diagrams.
- Must be computer literate, possess good written, verbal and interpersonal skills and be fluent in English.

Travels to customer sites to troubleshoot and make necessary repairs , to perform routine/preventative maintenance (PM) and perform National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) traceable calibration on all types of Airgas equipment and products including, but not limited to:
Manual, robotic and semi-automatic Pulsed Metal Arc Welding (GMAW-P), Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) and Plasma Arc Welding (PAW) equipment including many custom semi-automatic systems. Orbital tube and pipe welding systems. High purity bulk and cylinder gas systems.
Integrated welding and motion control systems.
Completes all service orders in a neat and timely fashion and obtains customer's signature on the order prior to leaving the facility.
Maintains company provided diagnostic equipment, tools and other equipment in clean, good working condition and within manufacturer's recommendations. Properly locks and secures the equipment at the end of each day.
Maintains inventory of parts in the Airgas facility.
Communicates routinely with the manager on the job status, daily activities and condition of equipment.

+ Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline
+ Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints.

Hitachi Energy located in Alamo, TN is seeking a Weekend Electro Mechanical Repair Technician to join its team. In this position, you will follow safety and work procedures to perform preventative maintenance, routine mechanical and/or electrical repairs on production and processing equipment.
The selected candidate will troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and replace electrical and/or mechanical components as necessary to ensure maximum uptime and customer satisfaction and modify equipment as assigned to support a continuous improvement culture.
How You'll Make a Difference:
- Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures including Lock-Out-Tag-Out
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machines and plant equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on machines and equipment and make recommendations to PM program
- Run conduit and pull wire for new machines and equipment.
- Must be able to read/follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings and technical manuals
- Working knowledge of 115 & 480V equipment, how to safely troubleshoot, diagnose and repair
- Troubleshoot/repair systems or equipment such as hydraulic systems, transformers, motors, DC circuitry, PLCs, variable frequency drives, relays, switches, position sensing devices and printed circuit boards
- Monitor and document observations, settings, readings, meters, gauges as required
- Proficient in using common electrical/mechanical devices. Ex. multi-meter, amp-probe, megger, calipers, micrometers, dial indicator
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
- Basic welding and cutting, including acetylene torch, plasma, stick, and brazing
- Secure and complete required department work order documentation
- Responsible for housekeeping in his/her work area and general surroundings
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
Your Background:
Associate's degree in an engineering discipline or industrial maintenance/electrician certificate from an accredited trade school.

Our CNC machines, and other equipment, from time to time need repairs to the circuit boards, whether it is swapping with another drive or soldering diodes and transistors on the circuit board. The ideal candidate will have strong industrial electrical maintenance and mechanical maintenance experience. We are not looking for someone who repairs computers, but someone who has this experience from working in a manufacturing facility maintaining and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment. You will need to diagnose, repair, and maintain circuit boards and other electrical and mechanical components in our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting industrial equipment, working with PLCs, and performing both electrical and mechanical repairs to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
