DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Strategic Planning Analyst to join our team on an upcoming Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) J-3/5/7 Operations and Strategic Support contract based at DISA Headquarters, Fort Meade, MD and MacDill AFB, FL, with flexible telework options. This opportunity involves supporting DISA's J-3/5/7 Directorate, which directs and synchronizes the DISA Network (DISN) to enable Joint Cyberspace Operations. The contractor will contribute to operational planning, strategic initiatives, program assessment, and task order management across four major task areas. Responsibilities include developing cyber operation plans, supporting DISA planning groups, advising senior leaders, delivering key policy documents and assessments, coordinating strategic communications, and supporting governance processes.

This position offers remote work flexibility.

Duties & Responsibilities

Department Summary

The Office of Academic Planning and Budget advises the VCCFO and Executive Vice Provost regarding campus budgetary planning issues and allocation of campus resources, including issues involving students, faculty, staff, space, and university finances. The office also manages the key campus planning processes and data sets that support these decisions, and performs a central role in UCLA's systems of internal control and accountability.

Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Director for Financial Analysis & Decision Support, serve as a Senior Strategic Planning Analyst within the Office of Academic Planning & Budget (APB). APB reports to the Vice Chancellor & CFO, and acts in an advisory role to the Chancellor and the Executive Vice Chancellor/Provost in providing financial analysis that informs campus decision-making and strategic planning. APB provides financial decision support and analysis related to all organizations on campus, not just academic units. UCLA has 40+ organizations that include the academic schools and also the non-academic organizations such as facilities, police, IT, and the Library among many others. The Senior Strategic Planning Analyst will receive a portfolio of organizations that they will be responsible for in terms of providing financial and strategic business analysis. This includes providing financial assessment of ongoing budget and planning issues, development of financial models and forecasts, and also trend, variance and contingency analysis. It is expected that the Senior Strategic Planning Analyst is comfortable in using large data sets in Excel in order to develop financial models and analysis. The Senior Strategic Planning Analyst will also partner with the campus units and serve as an internal consultant, providing advice and training based on the outcomes of the analysis. For the campus annual budget process, the Senior Strategic Planning Analyst will review budget submissions to gain a thorough understanding of the assumptions, issues and will attend all budget meetings along with the Organization Leadership, VC/CFO, AVC and Director. The Senior Strategic Planning Analyst will also assist in preparation of budget materials for presentation to the Chancellor, Executive Vice Chancellor/Provost, the Office of the President along with others. During this next period, the Senior Strategic Planning Analyst will help drive forward major transformational changes that are being led by APB. Job Purpose

The Position

Near Patient Care is committed to helping people with diabetes everywhere in the world think less about their daily diabetes routine, so they can get true relief, day and night. We offer a broad portfolio of solutions for both people with diabetes and their professionals - from blood glucose monitoring to information management to continuous glucose monitoring. Our aim is to offer innovative products, services and comprehensive solutions for convenient, efficient and effective diabetes management.

Internal Manufacturing Indianapolis is a function within Roche Diagnostics - Near Patient Care Operations, responsible for the strip manufacturing of the majority of our blood glucose monitoring portfolio for the global demand of our patients. In the future, Internal Manufacturing Indianapolis will also be responsible for sensor manufacturing for our continuous glucose monitoring portfolio.

As Operations Strategic Planning Lead, you will be responsible for driving cross-functional collaboration and change management to optimize manufacturing processes and systems, leveraging LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies. You will develop and monitor KPIs, design strategies for continuous improvement, mentor teams, and ensure alignment with organizational goals while staying current on best practices to deliver exceptional efficiency and performance.

The Opportunity

  • You align the organization in implementation of cross functional projects that address inefficiencies in processes and systems. You drive the implementation to specific schedules and goals.

  • You partner with cross functional groups such as Mfg Systems, Production, Process Development, Quality and 3rd parties to deliver optimal results.

  • You serve as a leader and change advocate using LEAN/Six Sigma methodologies and other advanced manufacturing practices to accomplish objectives. You model a continuous improvement mind-set through daily actions.

  • You set KPIs for manufacturing processes and drive to reach those goals. You hold KPI reviews in functional team meetings and participate in setting objectives during Business Planning cycles.

  • You ensure processes are monitored and KPIs drive behavior. Periodically reports status to stakeholders.

  • You develop a standardized approach to measure process performance throughout the organization. You analyze production performance data to identify improvement opportunities and optimize performance.

  • You mentor team members in continuous improvement strategies and methodologies. You coach and teach others on the use and application of continuous improvement tools.

  • You obtain input from, and communicate to, stakeholders and team members on plans, proposals, status and risks.

  • You stay current in best-in-class operational management practices through training, seminars, networking, and other various channels.

  • You develop manufacturing strategy with the Operations Leadership Team and drive implementation of strategy.

Who You Are

  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Sciences or closely related scientific/technical discipline.

  • You have a proven track record of managing medium to large scale improvement projects and delivering results through implementation and expertise with the continuous improvement methodologies.

  • You have 5+ years of experience in Operations or Engineering, including experience in successfully leading cross functional teams in driving manufacturing results.

Preferred

  • You have current proficient level knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma and process-effectiveness principles and practices, and the ability to apply (focus - Visual Management, bottleneck analysis, Hoshin Kanri policy development, development of KPI's, OEE, takt time)

  • You have an advanced technical degree, MBA or 3 years of experience in Industrial, Operational or Supply Chain Management.

  • You have well-developed analytical skills and strong experience with data analysis and visualization software (MS Office, SQL database querying, Tableau)

  • You have the ability to model and simulate process changes to predict results.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • You have experience in collaborating and influencing leadership teams to develop strategy and implementation of strategy.

  • You have proven skills in stakeholder management, and team management that are not direct reports.

  • You have the ability to effectively negotiate and influence others.

  • You have knowledge of business and compliance requirements in change management in a regulated industry.

  • You have experience in industrial finance, labor optimization and asset management.

  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills

Locations

You are based in Indianapolis. This is an onsite position.

Relocation benefits are not available for this position.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is $101,700 and $188,800. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.

Job Purpose

The Business and Product Planning Division sets the product requirements for the next generation lineup of models, guiding the design and engineering teams through the early development phases to achieve a winning vehicle. Developing the future product requirements needs a highly capable, highly knowledgeable, and highly engaged team. The team will focus on analyzing future society and customer trends that will affect future mobility. The Data Analyst will support the long-term strategy creation led by the Principal Economist. Activities include market analysis, customer research, segmentation of customers and target creation. T his position requires high level collaboration between Auto De velopment Center (ADC), American Honda Motor (AHM), American Honda Motor Research and Development (AHM R&D), Honda Development & Manufacturing of America (HDMA), 4MOC and 4ji to align future customers, products, and strategies.

Key Accountabilities
  • Data Analysis - Ability to analyze large data sets and develop key insights from the data that is relevant to identification of the target customers. Ability to translate data / key insights into narratives / reports targeted to engineers, designers and analysts with oversight.
  • Research - Ability to research market and consumers, developing key insights that are relevant to the problems and determining ways to attack the market. Supports research projects including desk research, focus groups or clinics or on-line quantitative surveys. Can advise on creative matters to ensure the final product output matches the original intention and targets.
  • Sensing - Maintains a thorough understanding of the automotive market, consumers, consumer preferences and company strategy, that is relevant to our current plans.
  • Support corporate objectives with critical information for how to compete in the future. Supports long-term department vision and department goals to achieve Division targets
Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Minimum Educational Qualifications:
  • 4-year college degree is required, ideally with a major in business, marketing, economics or related field
  • MBA is a plus
Minimum Experience:
  • Ideal candidate would have 0-2 years of experience doing analysis, ideally with an automotive Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)
  • Experience in the area of product planning, product development or brand management is preferred.
Other Job-Specific Skills:
  • Awareness of the automotive industry, products and technology
  • Possess critical thinking, business judgement, analytical and presentation skills
  • Understanding of macroeconomic factors that impact the industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to demonstrate ideation/concept generation in a fast-paced environment
  • Consumer research and analysis skills, including statistical analysis skills
  • Ability to become proficient with planning tools such as MTAB, PIN, etc
Working Conditions
  • Likely travel to other Honda and non-Honda regional and international sites as needed.
  • Commitment to work necessary work hours to achieve all responsibilities, including overtime and operating periodically at early and late day hours
