**About The Role**
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to manage Uber's global media technology strategy. You will be responsible for helping to design our data strategy approach to reach millions of consumers worldwide in the most efficient manner possible. You will design and evolve our data- and AI-driven media strategy to reach millions of consumers worldwide with maximum efficiency and relevance.
The role will manage our partnerships with key ad technology vendors and our media agency's technology team to ensure Uber's marketing campaigns utilise best-in-class targeting. You will also work closely with our main media owner partners to maximise their targeting capabilities and constantly test new ad products.
This role will partner closely with stakeholders from across Uber to implement advanced targeting, predictive analytics, generative AI, and autonomous agents to transform how Uber connects with audiences.
**What You'll Do**
1. You will help lead the media technology and data strategy for Uber Brand marketing globally
2. Evaluate and execute the effective use of Marketing AI technologies
3. Manage our external media agency technology team to deliver best-in-class media targeting, optimization and reporting
4. Ensure all of our media and marketing targeting approaches are fully privacy-compliant
5. Develop deep ad technology partnerships to ensure Uber has access to best-in-class targeting and media reporting capabilities
6. Partner with regional marketing teams to deliver meaningful impact in local campaigns through advanced targeting and personalization at scale
7. Constantly test new targeting techniques and media technology features
8. Collaborate closely with our in-house Performance Marketing team to ensure brand media strategies take a consumer-first approach
9. Act as a trusted partner and in-house subject matter expert on data, targeting and AI to the broader organization, providing thought leadership and a clear vision for media technology
10. Partner with Uber's in-house Data Science team to create a robust media technology testing roadmap
**Basic Qualifications**
+ 10+ years of media technology experience at an agency, consultancy or brand
+ Bachelors Degree in an aligning field
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Hands-on experience with ad serving, programmatic, social media buying platforms and applying ML, GenAI and predictive modelling to campaigns
+ Technical knowledge of data clean rooms and their use within marketing
+ Strong knowledge of consumer privacy and data compliance regulations
+ A track record of designing robust marketing tests and experiments
+ Experience with media measurement and reporting methodologies, including geo-holdouts, brand lift studies, attention and engagement metrics
+ Deep understanding of audience segmentation, data strategy, and AI model training for marketing purposes.

We are seeking a strategic and technically adept Senior Manager to lead our Video Platform team. This team is at the heart of our streaming media experience, responsible for building and scaling the core video infrastructure that powers content delivery to millions of users globally. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our video technology stack, ensuring high performance, reliability, and innovation across our platform.
This role requires close collaboration with product and engineering teams across Web, Mobile, and OTT platforms to ensure our customers enjoy a seamless and high-quality video experience. You should bring strong hands-on experience with video players and playback technologies.
Leadership & Strategy
+ Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical leads focused on video encoding, packaging, playback, and delivery
+ Define and execute the roadmap for the video platform in alignment with product and business goals
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Content, and platform engineering teams (Web, Mobile, OTT) to deliver seamless video experiences across all surfaces
Technical Oversight
+ Oversee the design, development, and optimization of video workflows, including both live and on-demand streaming
+ Ensure scalability, low latency, and high availability of the video platform
+ Stay ahead of industry trends in video codecs, streaming protocols (HLS, DASH), DRM, and CDN technologies
+ Provide leadership on client-side and server-side ad delivery implementations (CSAI, SSAI, DAI)
+ Drive player integration strategies and collaborate with platform teams on customization, feature rollout, and performance optimization across devices
Operational Excellence

+ Experience with cloud-based video workflows, including AWS Media Services and GCP

Follow all company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
