The Sr. Director of Global Warehousing and Transportation drives efficiency through process standardization, automation, and digitalization, while overseeing multi-segment distribution center performance and key performance indicators (KPIs). Success in this role requires strong collaboration with regional teams, third-party logistics providers, and cross-functional departments to enhance cost efficiency, service levels, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the role leverages advanced logistics technologies, data analytics, and risk management frameworks to strengthen operational resilience and drive sustainable growth.
This role will directly lead three Global Distribution Centers as well as be responsible for key strategic programs like- Warehouse footprint optimization, Design for new DCs, 4PL partnerships, TMS implementation etc. This role has 4 direct and 60 total reports.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Develop and implement a global warehousing and transportation strategy aligned with business objectives.
+ Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs), key performance indicators (KPIs), benchmarks, and best practices for warehousing, transportation, and distribution operations ensuring operational efficiency, accuracy, and on-time delivery.
+ Act as Chief of Staff to the VP of Supply Chain and help lead transformation of Xylem's SC function.
+ Drive network optimization initiatives to improve cost efficiency, service levels, and sustainability.
+ Oversee the operation and performance of multi segment distribution centers, ensuring operational efficiency, accuracy, and on-time delivery.
+ Manage and own operational relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight carriers, and warehouse partners.
+ Work cross-functionally with procurement, planning, operations, and finance teams to align logistics strategies with business goals.
+ Evaluate and implement advanced logistics technologies such as Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and Internet of Things (IoT) solutions.
+ Develop risk management frameworks for warehousing and transportation disruptions.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
+ 8+ years of experience in global warehousing, transportation, or logistics management.
+ Additional experience in Operations is preferred.
+ Strong leadership experience in a Center of Excellence (COE) or global logistics function.
+ Expertise in supply chain analytics and strong program management skills
+ Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
+ Experience with Lean, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

The estimated salary range for this position is $180,000 to $250,000 plus bonus?Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range? As a Supply Chain Service Analyst, you will be responsible for improving the order and receipt cycle with QSight, providing accurate data, running reports, inventory management, and maintaining the usage history to improve a product utilization. - Utilize QSight to help improve Accounts Payable processing of invoices and procedural charges.
- Where applicable, help identify optimal storage design for supply storage in the Departments. Identify alternatives based on storage space constraints within each Department.
- Plan and conduct periodic departmental inventory audits. Perform annual optimization analysis and communicate recommendations to Department stakeholders.
**Additional Responsibilities**
· Assist with the coordination and management of cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
· Maintain electronic data files as necessary in the technology platform, including minimum and customer units of measure, consignment inventory and lot/expiration date tracking.
· Assist training clinical staff on use of the technology platform. May be required to act as "site administrator" for technology platform.
· Comply with customer's policy regarding monitoring and complying with product recall notices.

· Maintain various electronic files. Generates data and reports for customers and project team members. Performs recommended back-up procedures of electronic files to ensure project or programs are properly maintained.
· Develops appropriate back-up procedures of key databases that contain critical programs or project information.
· Troubleshoots and resolves technology issues as needed.
· Participates in customer presentations with the sales force when needed. Educates and trains hospital staff on how to use QSight.
· Assists with onsite Logistics support such as gathering customer data, product sizing and storeroom slotting as needed.
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
· Bachelor's degree, required, Healthcare Information Technology preferred or related field
· Minimum, three (3) years of work experience, required, in a health IT setting, in Med-Surg technology, materials management, project management in healthcare and/or a large-size hospital or multi-hospital environment, preferred.
· Or any combination of education and experience to meet the above requirements.
May provide onsite Inventory Management Services to support our Clinical Inventory Management Program agreements to include performing physical counts, generating/placing orders, product put-away and stocking location maintenance, including on-site organization and corresponding data file maintenance.
