A Brief Overview The Lead Director of Logistics Operations is responsible for the overall performance of an assigned distribution center building(s). This role will own the strategy to create and maintain a first-class employee experience with a focus on talent development, employee engagement, staffing and retention, and learning and training. This role will also create and lead the facility strategy around operational activities to achieve profit and expense goals, provide the highest possible service to the market customer base, ensure compliance with corporate policies and government regulations, and provide a work-environment conducive to superior productivity, safety, and quality. The role will have direct reporting responsibility for a minimum of five exempt and three non-exempt colleagues. What you will do Operational Execution: Full P&L responsibility for DC of oversight. Ensure timely, secure, accurate deliveries of DC products/services through optimum deployment of courier/delivery resources within expense/profit target parameters in all market and labor conditions. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts and conditions, optimize production operations, optimize shipment operations, and resolve distribution delays while remaining in the expense target parameters. Partner with HR support resources to achieve staffing targets through creative recruiting methods such as job fairs, external advertising, temporary staffing agencies, cross-training, etc. Minimize overtime for colleagues. Create & maintain strong relationships with field store partners, corporate partners, asset protection, and transportation to bridge service gaps and resolve concerns. Achieve all DC productivity, key performance and quality metrics, partnering closely with all supply chain teams/support partners to drive continuous improvement. Ensures compliance with all government regulations and statutes in the areas of DEA, OSHA, employment, wage & hour, and EEO/AA, and more. The Colleague Experience: Ensure appropriate floor presence, engaging with colleagues and front-line leaders to stay abreast of feedback and concerns, while validating execution of critical action items. Ensure strong communication channels throughout all levels of leadership and colleagues within the DC, inclusive of consistent follow-up with action items and feedback. Partner with HRBP to drive a colleague engagement strategy for the total DC. Provide creative flexibility for leadership team to drive engagement within their own teams, leveraging survey data to create action items. Create an “always on” engagement mindset within team continually asking how we are acting on colleague feedback throughout the year. Take ownership for succession planning, talent management processes to grow, develop, and retain talent. Ensure a best-in-class training experience for all DC colleagues, providing the opportunity for colleagues to be successful. Partner with training and HR resources to enhance training and talent outcomes. Hold self and team accountable to develop a continuous improvement mindset with all operational processes and metrics while also looking for opportunities to enhance employee experience metrics such as annual engagement scores, retention, turnover, overtime, and more. Set targets for improvement and ensure an ownership mindset at all levels of the team. Drive an inclusive culture at all levels of the DC. Create a strong partnership with the HRBP, Sr HR Coordinator, and Training Coordinator to design and drive a comprehensive people strategy for the DC and assign accountabilities with teams. Meet regularly to measure results. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive short and long-term strategy for the assigned DC with at least 200 site colleagues, leveraging goals and initiatives from the enterprise and overall supply chain Business Unit to balance an enterprise mindset and local strengths and opportunities. Assign appropriate timelines and accountabilities for items, empowering the team to drive action steps to completion. Leverage thought partners (HRBP, corporate partners, peers, team, etc.) as needed to create and revisit the strategy. Navigate ambiguity and change to achieve goals despite potential obstacles. Optimize facility product flow and building capacity through root cause analysis and action planning while partnering with resources as needed to drive current and future state. Participate in meetings/calls with corporate partners to support the DC network and supply chain strategies. Contribute across boundaries to ensure the network can achieve strategic goals. Champion innovation by bringing ideas to own DC and the broader organization in an agile way, while balancing growth potential against financial risk and incremental cost to the organization. Talent Development: Develop the capabilities of direct reports to take on progressively higher levels of responsibility. Partner with HRBP to develop a comprehensive talent strategy for the DC. Develop robust, diverse talent pools and succession plans. Promote a high-performance culture by clearly setting goals and expectations. Develop external and internal networks that support a pipeline of talent for the DC. Act as a coach and mentor for team to develop and support IDPs for high potential talent. Hold DC leadership team accountable for developing the capabilities of their teams and creating IDPs for high potential talent. Leverage existing enterprise tools such as talent profiles and enterprise development programs to develop talent. Drive usage of existing tools with teams. Continuous Improvement & Change Management: Continuously look for opportunities both in own DC and the network to drive efficiency and the colleague experience. Make recommendations to Leadership, as appropriate. Fully embrace organizational improvement initiatives, acting as a change agent with one’s own team and peers. Leverage a results-oriented mindset, using metrics to monitor improvements. Coach and empower the team to drive change within their areas. Provide constructive and positive feedback on new initiatives to appropriate teams. Look for ways to break through implementation barriers rather than be impeded by them. For this role you will need Minimum Requirements Minimum 5 to 8 years of work experience as a Site Leader/Director of a Distribution Center/Warehouse Minimum 8 to10 years of experience in managerial/leadership positions in a Distribution Center/Warehouse Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience managing P/L, Budgeting, and all financial aspects of a Distribution Center/Warehouse Prior experience in retail or distribution/warehousing. Proven ability to drive culture and results. Preferred experience with Greenfield startups. Experience developing talent at multiple levels. Regular and reliable attendance. Functional experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and other distribution center reporting tools. Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for Management and oversight of all Production Planning, and Purchasing activities
- Carry out day to day activities related to the strategic sourcing goals of the company and implement action items to ensure that those goals are achieved
- Responsible for negotiations for best possible cost service guarantee and develop winwin strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers
- Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning
- Implement supplier agreements/contracts when beneficial by working with crossfunctional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions
- Generating and implementing efficient sourcing
- Proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities
- Maintain and develop supplier relationships (supplier meetings, conferences, etc.)
- Develop a supplier management program with key suppliers including metrics, performance goals and improvement initiatives
- Establishing purchasing policies and ensures compliance within the department
- Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of procurement processes throughout the organization
- Perform cost savings initiatives and risk analyses (financial, legal, etc.) to avoid issues and limit negative impacts
- Develop and conduct annual contract assessments for upcoming renewals
- Controls, plans, directs and manages the supply chain (production planning and purchasing)
- Responsible for achieving all demand, supply, inventory KPIs.
- Oversees the procurement of all raw material, equipment, packaging, consumable items and indirect supplies and services to ensure adequate inventories for continuous, uninterrupted production schedules and engineering projects.
- Identify and develop new sources of supply.
- Documents entire demand and supply planning process and follows the standardized procedures
- Provides data and actively participates in Planning process meetings
- Oversees Production Planning activities, including Demand Planning, Scheduling, and Production Planning
- Responsible for leading the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning cycle
This position manages all purchasing staff and the production planning team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Finished Product Distribution: Ensure a smooth flow of inbound and outbound shipments by implementing an efficient end to end tracking system. Ensure receipt appointments of inbound trucks. Release of products in saleable status, engaging customer service to ensure release of orders before cutting time, provide delivery feedback for critical orders and minimize back orders by keeping a close coordination with sales team.
- Process Optimization: Support and develop of SOP documents which ensure a good distribution practice. Develop systems to solve problems and quarantine root causes in 3PL and flow distribution. Support SAP enhancements implementation, processimprovement and Serialization implementation.
- Inventory Control: Maintain inventory control systems to assure visibility throughout the supply chain and comply with financial and regulatory requirements.
- Creates and maintains net production and purchasing requirements based on forecast, lead time, shelf life and safety stock policy.
- Provide, Run and analyze month to end reports for Business unit performance.
- ERP (SAP). Support SAP implementation. Perform inventory transaction by using SAP system. Analyze and verify data integrity.
- DSCSA EPCIS compliance. Monitoring and solving inbound and outbound disruptions.
Specific Responsibilities:
We seek a highly motivated individual with analytical capabilities and pharmaceutical experience (Biological Product in preference) to be part of our commercial operations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible to ensure customer orders delivery on time. Perform cycle counts in case any order discrepancy
- Minimize and resolve claims within one week. Implement root cause analysis to avoid discrepancies in the future.
- Approve and follow up returns from customers and work with finance for credit request submission.
- Prepare monthly supply chain reports by showing inventory value, turn over, cost per unit, short date / expired, damages and on time In Full order.
- Provide weekly report of inbound status of Biosimilar products, quality, customs hold, in transit.
- Follow up and support release products as required into saleable, quarantine, customer allocation.
- Prepare/oversee inbound shipment reports to ensure customs release and delivery in 3PL in fashionable time
- Weekly Customs shipment report showing status of final release from customs.
- Support in preparation the annual 3PL budget.
- Assist and support Financial and external audit of our in/out processes and 3PL.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent required.
- Minimum 5 years of Pharmaceutical Management with direct involvement in establishing and managing inventory, customer service, orders tracking, 3PL management.
- Supply and Logistic acumen and working knowledge of distribution KPI to manage and control inbound, outbound and 3PL operation.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with a general level of autonomy and independence.
- Good professional ethics and compliance of applicable laws and regulations.
- SAP ERP user experience is a must. Savvy Implementation is big plus.
- DSCSA knowledge and implementation experience is a must.
- Overall OTC Transactions in SAP. (Sales Order, Return Order, Free of Charge Order, Credit Memo, Debit Memo, Deliveries and Invoices.
- Collaborate with Finance team for the periodic closing.
- Maintain complete and accurate standard sales operating procedures and related internal control documentation.
